Visiting from out of town and we came for family lunch. I chose the pork tenderloin and it was amazing! Bigger than the bun by a bit, but almost an inch thick and juicy!! So good!! I ordered the sliced cucumber and ranch as my side to keep it a little lighter. Dipped my tenderloin in the ranch and that was great too!! So. I have to admit I'm biased. I've been following this bassinets in Facebook for 2 years as a fan of the movie without having ever been there. Today was the day. Business had me traveling by car nearby and I finally got to stop. The service? Top notch. Great waitress. The drinks? Very nice. The food. An inferno burger and wings in a garlic jalepeno sauce. Have been here numerous times and the food has been alright, as bar food goes, but tonight the cook must have had an off night...my fish was way overdone and my wife's salad had a gazillion onions in it. The service was pretty lukewarm and the ambiance was ruined by someone's screaming brat! I really like to support local, especially in my neighborhood, but I can't see myself coming back anytime soon. It pains me to write this review because I know someone who has a vested interest in this restaurant, but tonight wasn't a good Lebowski's night. read more

We had their chicken finger basket, one with waffle fries and one with onion rings and their golden nugget burger. Food was great and fresh. Definitely a guilty pleasure food . Server was super sweet and nice! We went fairly later in the day ~9p.m so there weren't many people besides at the bar and maybe one other table-- overall though a nice experience! I went to Lebowski's Bar & Grill after I had my annual eye doctor appointment right next door. I got there at 10:30 a.m. before they opened it at 11 a.m. and they let me in to sit down and brought me some water to drink as well as a menu to look at until they opened, which was very kind. I ordered a turkey, avocado, hummus, club wrap and it was pretty good and their homemade chips were soft but crunchy and tasted amazing. The wait staff provided great service. The atmosphere felt like a sports bar and grill type of place. Overall, I feel like I had a pretty good experience at this bar/restaurant. I will definitely be back, but next time I will probably bring friends with me. read more

I order takeout here commonly. Service is great, waiting time for my order is great, and food is great + fair priced. Chicken tenders are one of the best in the Cedar Rapids area, and paired with their waffle fries, is top notch. Nice little bar and grill with a very relaxed atmosphere. I don't typically order White Russians in a pint glass, but I very much enjoyed the one I had at Lebowski's. My wife and I had the Dude Fries, the Lebowski burger and the Golden Nugget burger. Everything was really good, and the Dude Fries could be a full meal alone. Update: stopped back in after they reopened after closing. Service was much improved, quick and attentive. The Mac n cheese bites were delicious and my tenderloin was ginormous!! Increase to 4 stars instead of 2! Went to Lebowski's in a Tuesday night... trivia night (lots of fun)! However disappointed with the service and food. We were sat down and did not have a waitress come for 10-15 minutes. When she did come we realized she was working the bar as well so not sure if they were low on staff but this made our service very slow. As for the food, I could tell it was all frozen... I am use to restaurants that make almost everything by scratch... however if you like standard bar food this place is for you. We will come back for drinks and trivia night though! read more

Popped in last night with my 7yr to get some dinner. We ordered a shrimp basket and chicken strips. About an hour later we were told they had several to go orders and were backed up. No biggie. Then a couple walked in and sat down. They ordered a starter. The starter came out, was delivered to their table, was not acceptable, sent back to the kitchen, recooked, and delivered back to the couple. All of this while we remained seated waiting for our food. I finally asked for it to go and we waited an additional 30 minutes. The waitress was completely aloof. I hate this happened because I really do enjoy the food here. However, I will not be back and will not encourage others to dine here. read more

REOPENED And so glad they did, I need my burger place. I think I heard some of the old management team now owns the place? There's been some small changes to the menu and the decor and the staff seems entirely new. Same great food, but something just seems off (hence the loss of a star). We couldn't put our finger on exactly what it was. The new burger offerings sounded really good, but I stuck with my turkey burger and wasn't disappointed. The boys liked their wings. The real star of the show was the Gouda Mac bites - unexpected. They were the perfect version of what I'd envision mac bites to be and I really didn't think I'd like them at all. So I've been here twice and was not very impressed. It's a nice place with a bar area on one side and restaurant seating on the other side plus outdoor seating. The decor is confusing. It looks like they try to use Jeff Bridges from the movie "the big Lebowski" which is a great movie. Our waitress was mediocre and had way too many tables but they weren't very busy. I had the fried fish and it reminded me of those frozen fish sticks from elementary school. You could tell the fish came out of a box and were frozen. Way overcooked and hard to chew. My wife had the nachos and it was the worst attempt at nachos I've ever seen. How do you mess up nachos?? We were not impressed and I will not be going back! read more

Typical burger joint with many interesting burger options. Rather your a spicy, salty, or just straight up glutenous type of person they have something for you! Every time I am working in the area I look forward to stopping in but am not sure I would make a trip specifically for the food. The prices are reasonable and the service and clientele is very friendly. The space is very open, almost to open. It can get very noisy over the lunch hour making conversation hard at times. The area really needed a place to eat and drink and I feel that this place fills that gap but it still has room for improvement. read more

Went with some friends to watch the Cubs game. Unfortunately with the disagreements with some local cable companies and channels we weren't able to watch the game, but still had a great time eating, drinking, and talking. I had the breaded tenderloin sandwich. It was extremely good! It had a cracker crust that was super buttery and crispy. Of course the tenderloin was twice the size of the bun which allowed me to take half of it home. The meat was tender and juicy and had a good thickness to it for a good meat to breading ratio. I took the rest home and had it for breakfast with a fried egg on top. Just as good as when I got it. I'll definitely be back for the tenderloin. read more

We ate here with friends when Lebowski's first opened. It was a long drive from Iowa City but we are huge fans of the movie and wanted the experience. Even though the place was packed, we were still seated within 20 minutes. The hamburger was good. This is a great place to grab lunch if you live local. read more

Second trip to Lebowski's was much like the first. Nice burger, good service. but it does seem to take a little bit of time to get your food. Many families with young children at Sunday noon time. I noticed a large area for bike parking which is a plus since it's close enough to the bike trail. read more

Had cod basket. Cod was way overcooked and fries tasted exactly like the cod. Both were lukewarm at best.

It's been a long time since I walked out of a restaurant, but it was red flags all over the place and I just couldn't bare it. First strike, we walk in and see the 'seat yourself' sign. Saw a waitress no more than 12 feet away looking at us with a blank stare and just standing in a doorway without a mask. I thought she should have at least greet us, but nothing, flag 1. So we strolled out to the patio and found a secluded table and took off our masks and here comes blank stare, still without a mask. She asks for our drink orders, and I ask for the aluminum can Coors that were advertised on a sign inside. Blank stare turns to confusion and she then tells us they don't carry those, flag 2. I then ask what are the happy hour specials. Blank stare again and more confusion. She rambles about some specials but she's not sure, flag 3. That was enough. I was not going to risk my life on a clueless waitress that wasn't displaying any knowledge of her job or Covid recommendations. I know it's not all on her. Mgmt should have their people trained on these things and they failed. So we walked out. read more

This is my new favorite restaurant. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I had the pulled pork sandwich and waffle fries. My husband had the taco salad and pub chips. All were amazing. Sorry to report that The Dude would not abide here. We met some friends here for my husband's birthday because they are all The Big Lewbowski fans. There's a rug on the wall in the entryway and a poster of the main cast, and that's about it. For its namesake, the place is severely lacking. Personally, I also feel that The Dude would prefer more of a dive setting than a sleek sports bar. The food is fine--standard bar food. There was a White Russian drink on the menu at least. We made a good time of it and quoted the movie throughout dinner, but we all left disappointed. read more

Been on my radar for a long time. Seen and heard tons of great reviews. The place is a bit Spartan. This, however, is the only minus. I can't comment on the sandwiches. They had too many tempting appetizers. Smoked Gouda bites? Trippy and delicious! We also did the loaded fries with pulled pork and all the rest...delish! Our server was warm, friendly, and laughed at my lame jokes. Love it! read more
