Heres why. I clicked on a Glassdoor job for NanoString Seattle and to apply for this job the " Apply On Career" button takes me to Startwire for the process. Startwire wants all kinds of information that I potentially would not give NanoString directly until and if they interviewed me first and wanted to start the hiring process. Startwire likely wants information from you to pass on for a price to more than one buyer. One can avoid potential phishing and scamming by directly dealing with each potential employer through hard copies of resume sent US mail. After entering info into the Startwire data fields I found it to be a redundant entry of the same information previously given to Glassdoor, just to find that Startwire was directing me to yet one more site ( Greenhouse io )for data entry to apply for the same aforementioned job. Do a Google search for ( Any )said employer and find their website and job or career tab. Search within the companies job page and see for yourself if the job listing currently exists. Secondly Google search the companies physical address and send a hard copy of your resume and cover letter Attn: Hiring Manager. If any company is interested in hiring you they will contact you directly via the information you sent them snail mail USPS. This process eliminates electronic scams And scanning for key words that weed you out of the running before they physically see your cover letter and resume in hand. Why " Apply " for jobs by handing over information with these Sign In processes. Too many middlemen who get paid to peddle and store the info you entered.

They are fake recruiting tool. They would copy other companies' job postings (without…read moreauthorization) and trick job seeker believe it is their own posting thus a job seeker will click a link intending to apply but end up giving out tons of private information and their resume. I came across their posting and it just looks suspicious so I went in and digged a bit further. Don't let them fool you.
