Over the years, we have become disappointed in our favorite pizza restaurant. I'm not sure what's happened, but they never have enough staff to wait on you properly. We were there last Saturday and the manager was having to do everything. We felt sorry for her because she was running herself ragged. More importantly, the pizza quality is not up to Lido's standard. The crust is about half as thick as it should be, the sauce was sparse, and the cheese was about 50% of what it should be. We fear this franchise is going to fail because the pizza, the service, and the attention to the customer is lacking. Unfortunately, we have decided to no longer patronize. Pizza has many variations and styles. Ledos style is squared and the crust is very thin. Plenty of seating if you want to eat in. The 3 layered cakes in the front looked sooo good. As an Italian from New York, all I can say is that dessert is meant to be sweet and not your pizza. Unfortunately, Ledo Pizza is way too sweet, to the point that it is no longer savory. Excellent service and tasty food. Very nice server named Sarah. She was timely, attentive, and friendly. We ordered this medium pizza with "crispy" bacon and black olives. Look at all of that bacon...and yes, it tastes great. I'm very impressed by the volume of bacon on this pizza. We are also fans of their pizza sauce. It's heavy tomato and rather sweet. I suspect they add sugar, but the end product is excellent. As you can see, we had leftovers. Our server asked if we'd like to box up the sauce or even get a new one. Of course I said both please. Also like the Stromboli. It's packed with meat and cheese and doesn't have the typical 'too much bread' problem. The meats seem to be deli-style, but baked in that crust they taste great. I really appreciate a restaurant that cares about conscientious food service. Ledos used to be that place. A great place for a business lunch or a family dinner. Now, I'm not so sure the owners care. Been in SOMD going on 40 years. I used to get happy about dinner at Ledos, but the last trip there was even more disappointing than the one two months before. I doubt I will do it again. My wife finally came out the door shaking her head. Thanks a lot Ledos for the lack luster service and all-bacon grease soaked deluxe pizza. According to my wife, the two adolescents at the register did nothing to assist and one of the waitresses eventually realized her situation and asked if she could help. Regardless the thing called a pizza still was not ready, but the waitress ended up getting the pizza thing to her just before my wife was going to ask one of the two girls hanging out at the register to grab it for her. We will not be back. It's a shame and don't blame COVID for this systemic issue. Management needs to wake-up before they go under. It's too bad. It used to be the best pizza in our area. Now it's just another SOS dispenser and it takes forever to get your order. I highly recommend not paying for it before you receive it and that's if you eat there-good luck. I'm in Leonardtown quite a bit in the summer months boating and fishing. Usually this is my spot for pizza, the one in Lexington Park really sucks. Now I am not so sure about this one either. The service here is hit or miss, some waitstaff friendly and efficient, others act like the "C" word. This time I ordered a spinach salad with the pizza and it was old and had decayed green slime in it, being a real trouper I just picked out the rotten leaves and worked around it, my friend will eat anything so we shared the good leaves. I told the waitstaff person to tell the cook to throw out the rest of the spinach they have left in the kitchen and she said she would. The restaurant is fun and lively, but I would recommend sticking with pizza when ordering, as the other food on the menu has never been exceptional in my experience. While the pizza is good, it can be expensive (for pizza), especially with the opening of other pizza places in the county. First to review! Take that Bill Z! Ambiance first: There really isn't any. The place is bright and clean. (I like clean, but I like my pizza joints dark and grotto like.) With that out of the way let's talk food. Sure, they have a menu full of all kinds of nonsense, but I visit for the pizza. (You know, it puts the "ospi" in "Ledo's Pizza".) And then they have a small smattering of various pizzas. But I'm a simple guy with a simple pizza palette at a place like this: Meat. (At a more creative place I could and have happily enjoyed a cold smoked salmon, lemon, dill, and tzatziki sauce pizza). The Meatlovers is my obvious choice. It's good. It's the kind of pizza you could easily sit and eat and eat and eat and feel like you could eat more. It's not super heavy and greasy, which is nice. The service is serviceable. I usually don't find myself wanting. Keep my beverages in order and put the pizza on the table and that's about all I ask. And the wait staff usually seems up to that task. Now, if you take the ambiance into account, the best thing to do is order your pizza to-go, stop by Guenther's Fine Wine and Spirits next door, ask the dude there what kind of awesome new beer they have in stock (I'm sure he can give you a great recommendation), grab a six pack, take it home and enjoy a game of Monopoly whilst stuffing your pizza face with a friend. (The beer is both to enjoy with the pizza and to lubricate any outlandish Monopoly deals you might want to propose: Atlantic for Tennessee and St. James...sober that would be a no-go...but a few beers later...) This place would get zero stars if I had a choice. My pizza expectations are high, and is just terrible. We bought a large pepperoni pizza and an order of BBQ wings. This place has gone so downhill over the years. The night of 6/21 we came here and with only half of the restaurant full we had absolutely horrible service. While watching waitresses sit around and talk we had nothing to drink. I was unable to get one single refill on my drink. Our food was also subpar. If I am going to pay $3.89 for a side salad I expect something more than pale iceberg lettuce and a few tomatoes. The pizza has also become a greasy mess. It use to be very tasty but it's lost a lot of flavor to the grease. Finally, the dining room was very warm, maybe low 80's. So disappointed in Ledo Pizza in Leonardtown! Our family usually loves Ledo Pizza and we regularly order from the Ledo in Lusby. However, yesterday our daughter and her friend both ordered gluten-free pizzas from the Ledo in Leonardtown and both girls had reactions and became very ill. My husband called the restaurant to let them know what happened and they looked up the order, confirmed that the girls did indeed order gluten-free pizzas (we know what they ordered, the question is what did they receive???) and then said "my manager said to tell you..." and read him the disclaimer from the menu regarding cross contamination. Wow! These people need some serious customer service training. My husband wasn't calling to place blame, he was calling to make them aware so they could possibly prevent this in the future. Mild cross-contamination is not an issue for these girls so this had to have been pretty major. Perhaps they should call the Lusby store to see why this has never been an issue there. At the very least, the manager should have called us to discuss the situation. We will not be eating there again and will be sure to pass the word along to our friends and family in the Leonardtown area. read more

I was very disappointed with the service at Ledo Pizza in Leonardtown. They have a sign that said something like please seat yourself. This was not a surprise because I have been here before, but all 4 of the available booths booths had trash and food all over the tables. Eventually one of the waiters came to me and asked if I would like a booth cleaned off, of course I said yes. After she's finished cleaning, I sit down and look over the menu. There's a waiter taking someone's order at the table behind me, then my fiancé comes back from the restroom and sits down and thoroughly looks at the menu. When he's done we both look around and at this point there are 2 waiters standing in a little room where the registers are located. I can hear them going back and forth about who's going to take our table. No one had even taken our drinks yet which was my number one issue. All these events had taken place and time is going by and no one has taken the time to at least greet us and take our drinks. I told my fiancé I will wait for 2 more minutes and I'm leaving. 2 minutes go by the waiters are still talking in that little room and look at us 2 or 3 times.
