My family and I have been told Nicoletti's many times and always had great food until yesterday. My son and I shared a steak and cheese sub and onion rings. The onion rings were tasteless and the sub was overly greasy. That has never happened before...very disappointing! I had to give my order 5 times. The server was overly distracted. Family lunch while visiting Maryland. My daughter in law ordered simple fries and pepperoni pizza for us all, but man.. that pizza was good! The crew were all nice and friendly. We were visiting southern Maryland to check out a local college and soak in the Chesapeake Bay experience. Pizza is my first love (and true love never dies), and Nicolletti's was pretty much the closest pizza joint with decent reviews. The service we received was subpar at best. We entered the door and stood, looking for any signage or indicator that would instruct us to next steps. After appearing (very obviously) confused for a few minutes and being completely ignored by the staff, we eventually went to the counter and inquired about protocol. We were curtly informed that we were to order at the counter, pick a table, and the food would be brought to us. The food we ordered (pizza, pasta, and a chicken parm sub) was very good. Though the pizza seemed to be *trying* to be NY style without fully succeeding, it was still very good, flavorful, and loaded with cheese. The fries and chicken parm were basic, but the alfredo sauce on the pasta tasted homemade with strong heavy cream undertones. Overall, the food was good but the service wasn't. Our experience would have been vastly improved by friendlier staff. Would we go again? Maybe. But only if I really wanted pizza. read more

Just recently my family and I went to eat at Nicolette's pizza. My 30 year old adult daughter order a beer and was asked for her ID which she gladly presented. The Manager who was working the register subsequently asked her to smile because as she said she looked a little different from her real ID license photo. She actually would not let it go either she insisted that she smile. Who does that?! We have never experienced the kind of harassment and disrespect and out right racism that we experienced. It was obvious profiling. We have been eating at this place for the 5 years that we have been living down here and to be treated with such disrespect and borderline racism was absolutely horrible and we will not be coming back and will be sure to tell everyone we know not to come back either. Nicollettis is a St Marys Co local pizza/sub restaurant. I have been eating here since I was a child. The food is always amazing. Most of their food, sauce, rolls, dough, lasagna, and more, is house made, I know this, because it was my first job. Went here for the first time, we got pizza, a calzone and a brownie. Was a relatively long wait in my opinion and for the wait I feel like the food could've tasted better. I can't speak on anything else on the menu but the pizza seemed undercooked to me and was too cheesy/oily for my liking but the crust was really good. The brownie from the front counter was incredible and the calzone was just okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute little place but it didn't really stand out to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees seemed uninterested in customers and preoccupied. I ordered takeout for a large ricotta pizza. When I went in to pick up my order, I asked if I could add fries. I understood I was going to have to pay again, and when he turned the screen to me he hovered over to look with me. I didn't appreciate that, and with my tip selection not being 25% or more he told me, "close enough". I did not think that was professional. I also had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my fries because nobody notified me they were done. I understand they were closing up, but you would think that would incentivize you to get me out sooner. The fries were ok and the pizza itself was a good 4/10. I went to Nicolletti's yesterday for their lunch buffett. I could hardly believe it when I paid and was given a plate. I got a salad, ate it, and went back to the counter for a new plate for pizza. I was old that they give out one plate per person for both your salad and your pizza! WHAT KIND OF A RIDICULOUS POLICY IS THAT????? I like to eat my salad and pizza at the same time and with the plates the size that they are there isn't really any room for both on the same plate. This place is now officially on my do not patronize list. The food is good but the service sucks. People are rude and don't even understand their menu. Today I wanted a salad. They were just finishing up the pizza and salad buffet but apparently they no longer offer the salad buffet separately. So there sat a bowl of iceberg lettuce tempting me. We asked if the side salad had iceberg lettuce and the "charming" counter person said it did. The menu said it did. It did not unless they have changed the name of romaine to iceberg. So I had to take my fluffing salad to go so I could go buy iceberg lettuce to add to it. So Nicoletti's can do one because I'm sick of their terrible service, I'm sick of their unpleasant staff, I'm sick of their lies, I'm sick of their ridiculous prices, and I'm SICK of them! There is no food on earth tasty enough to deal with these people. Just over $30 for two small pizzas, that were average. Ingredients seemed OK, crust was average, sauce was average, service was good, for pick up anyways. If you like extremely thick crust with more than just a couple of toppings, this restaurant will not do that. (Some pizza restaurants cannot accommodate because they don't have the right pounds, or don't want to risk serving what could be conceived as undercooked dough.) I had Hawaiian with jalapeños and mushrooms (thick crust was what I'd call regular). They didn't have shrimp. My husband had the white pizza with hamburger, thin crust. He didn't really like the hamburger, saying it was bland, and I'd have to agree with him. He ate a couple pieces, and the rest got tossed. We just moved to the area, and our property management company said we should have gotten a "welcome" discount of some kind, which we didn't get at this restaurant. To be fair to the restaurant, we are still investigating on our end if perhaps we misunderstood from our management company. But I felt really stupid asking for it and trying to explain to the manager what I'd understood from our property management company. I got the impression that the restaurant/manager/employee thought I was trying to pull a fast one on them. It just didn't feel very good. Not ordering from here again. read more

Fabulous slice of pizza! We ordered 2 mediums - half cheese/half bacon & pineapple (top notch flavor combo if you haven't tried it) and a meat monster (not the name of it but it should be). The meat feast was overflowing with all the meats (Arby's who?)! The crust had the perfect crispy but soft pillowy texture that a pizza bone should have!
