(Images) What I Got VS What I Wanted 7/10 -- Very Relaxing and Nice Experience, Better for Simple Designs Than Complicated Sets When I first came into Lee Nails, they immediately directed me to a chair and got started right away -- one person on my pedicure and another on my nails. I really liked that efficiency because it made the whole experience smoother and more relaxing. Pedicure: The pedicure was very relaxing, very comforting, and overall just a nice experience. The lady who did it was very sweet, but there was a little bit of a language barrier when I tried explaining exactly what I wanted -- a pink nude shellac color as the base for my French tip. After a few tries, we were able to find something that worked beautifully, and honestly, it looks wonderful. I hadn't had a pedicure in months, and this one really did the job -- it felt healing and refreshing. She got started right away before asking which pedicure I wanted, and once my legs were moisturized and my nails were shaped, she asked if I wanted to upgrade. The basic pedicure alone is actually very thorough and intense, so it already does the job perfectly if you don't want to pay extra. The No. 2 pedicure I chose came with the shellac and French design, and it turned out beautiful -- my toes matched my nails perfectly. Nails: For my nails, I told her I wanted a nude French tip, but we had a hard time finding a nude that fit my dark skin tone. We eventually found one that looked very natural and flattering, which I appreciated. The French tip process itself was really neat, and she added a cross charm and a flower with rhinestones on top of the design. I originally wanted designs on all ten fingers, but because of the communication barrier, I ended up getting designs on just three nails instead -- the cross, one flower, and another nail with a flower design. Even though it wasn't exactly what I asked for, it still came out very cute and well done. The price for my nails came to around $60, which isn't bad for shellac, French tips, and some design. Prices: Nails (colored French tips + flower + charm designs): about $60 Pedicure (No. 2 with shellac + French tips + design): about $60 Total came to $122, which I think is fair for both services and the time they spent. Atmosphere & Service: Everyone was polite, and the shop itself felt calm and organized. The massage chairs were nice, though they turned them off after a while because the shaking was interfering with the nail designs. The bathroom could've been a little cleaner, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall Thoughts: It was a really good and relaxing experience, and both my nails and toes came out very cute and neatly done. I just wouldn't recommend this place if you're coming in for high-design or complicated nail art, since it seems more like a salon that's great for simple, pretty sets at a cheap price and amazing pedicures. So overall, I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. If you want a simple set, a cute design, and a very nice pedicure, this is definitely a good spot. read more

I came here as a walk-in customer on Valentine's Day. Even though it was quite busy, I was able to be seen for a pedicure within 10 minutes. The salon was clean, and everyone was super friendly! The pedicure I received was good and fairly priced. read more

I trust my Nail tech Annie so much that she picks what style/color for nail each time. And Nancy will have you knocked out in the comfy chairs once she goes to work on your feet. I have been coming to this nail salon for 18 years. I am extremely picky about my nails and pedicures and this is the best place in Katy. Probably the best place in Houston. They use high-quality products they take their time and care into the services they provide. Everyone is highly recommended- Nancy, Hannah, Annie, Mimi and Angel are all excellent! I love it here they do pretty good nails and toes. I can say it s better to set an appointment because sometimes walk ins can be time consuming. If you aren't in a rush or don't mind waiting then walk ins would be better. But if you are on a time frame then I recommend setting an appointment. The workers are friendly and very welcoming. The prices are affordable and the outcomes are great. Even if you express you want something fixed about your nail they'll adjust and fix it. One last thing I love is how they learn their customers. The place is very shabby and they charge a lot. They seem to cater to older ladies that come during the day. We went on a reccommdation but 20 extra dollars for gems when the chairs are dirty, polish is splattered on walls is too much. Geez. Also, my daughter's nails look all right. Nothing special. First time here got acrylic nails done very fast and have a off shape to them. It was the lack of customer service that turned me off to this place. While she's doing my nails a regular walks in and stops paying attention to the detail in painting my nails I got a half ass job and was told to sit under the black light till she could do a clear coat. When she finally did the coat she half assed that too. My nails looks horrible! When I was sitting waiting on my nails to dry I burned my hand so bad on the lights they have underneath may have to have it looked at. So watch out for that. read more

Went here in a pinch, since my friends were running late. I have learned my lesson and will never ever trust a shellac manicure to strangers again. My customer service was ok, but they did a REALLY hard sale when it came to offering additional services. The manicure itself was nice, but the polishing skills are way off. There's shellac all over my cuticles. No way to get it off, unless I redo the whole thing. I have bubbles in my polish on several nails too. The UV box for curing the shellac was FILTHY. I mean, you could feel the grit of dried polish on the bottom, and several bulbs were bent. We had to manually jimmy them around to get them to come on. It was just awful. To make matters worse, I had only 1 UV box, so I would have to wait for one hand to finish so I could dry the other. It was also FREEZING. Eventually, I got a space heater for my legs, but I had to wait until another customer was done using it. It was $25 for the manicure and an additional $5 for taking off my previous shellac. That makes it more expensive than my 2 regular salons, who always do a fantastic job. I would have asked for corrections, but the manicure took forever, and I just didnt have any time. For Pedis; Annie is the best, but she's usually booked; so if you can think about it ahead of time, request her for your visit. Kylie also does a good job for pedis. Came here at the recommendation of a co-worker and have been very happy with my pedicures by Annie. Started getting my nails done again after letting them breathe and heal over summer...huge mistake. After just 6 weeks, I could tell my cuticles were suffering and had a brand new set removed after 2 weeks to switch to shellac. Nancy had my nails so thin and messed up after letting her take care of them for 2 months that I had my first hangnail after almost 20 years of getting my nails manicured regularly. They were split and broken in the edges from the way she ripped the acrylic off. She wanted just to paint over it. My nails were so thin they bent like paper. She wasn't even going to trim and clean my cuticles until I called her out on it. Then she didn't use any cuticle removing cream or soak the first hand. Just started tearing at them with clippers that were not even sealed showing they had been cleaned properly after the last customer. It was so painful when she got to my pointer finger I jerked away. She said I had a hangnail like it was no big deal. Upon further inspection I could see where she had filed the sides of my nails so narrow it was obvious why she gave me a hangnail. I stopped her and wouldn't let her continue. I was disgusted by the dirty tools she used that cut me and the condition she had my nails in after just 6 weeks. She used the electric grinder and then the buffing block twice. My nails were thinner than they had ever been and I have gone years without taking a break to switch to shellac. I was so upset with the use of other people's buffers and dirty tools combined with the split nails, hang nail, and paper thin removal method, it was all I could do not to walk out and to stay and allow the pedicurist to finish. Then to top it all off she charged double the cost of her horrible removal because I was no longer paying for a shellac manicure. She charged the full price of a polish manicure even though I didn't even allow her to finish much less polish. I was so angry at that point I paid and left because of the poor job. This is the woman that manages the salon too. When I had tried to tell her what I wanted during the manicurand why I was unhappy with the job she was doing, she wouldn't listen or fix her mistakes. Why would I expect her to have customer service skills and not double charge me for her poor work? Bottom line is I will not be returning to this dirty establishment. Sidebar-she turned off my massage chair after I adjusted it to the setting I like because she didn't want to have to reach to remove my acrylic nails :/ read more

There were only 3 spa chairs and 2 ladies working, so it took over 25 minutes before I got a spot. I did like how they wrapped hot towels around my legs - some places don't do that. These ladies are always very nice to me, they remember me by name and I have only gone a few times. I'd say it's not the cleanest place but I think they do the best they can with what they have. The manager does nails the best and she's fast. I'll say they have never let me leave looking badly which many places I tired before they will just rush you out the door. I have been a regular for over 15 years . Nancy has always done a wonderful job with my nails. Anne is the best for pedicures. They are very nice and professional. I am entering this review because I was there to witness a lady named Brenda being so rude to Nancy . I was sitting in the chair waiting for Nancy to return she had started my hands. Then this woman comes in and started complaining about having to wait when she had an appointment. I had one as well. Apparently she had confused the times. She kept yelling. Nancy asked me if I minded getting my feet done first so she could take care of her. I said sure. I was forced to tell the woman what I thought of her. She was so wicked to Nancy. Nancy never lost her temper. The boyfriend said she was always like that I told him he needed a new woman life is to short to have to live with that . She even threatened to write a poor review on Nancy. I told her I would write a review then she got quite . Her attitude was so horrible I hope I never have to see her again. Be careful - this salon does not take safety seriously. I went to have my gel removed and was told to soak my fingers directly in the acetone for 30 minutes. The smell was terrible and the manicurist next to me moved her fans so the fumes were blowing away from her and into my face. There was a line and they just had me sit there and scrape off the gel myself! Later I inquired and found out that the correct way to remove gel is to use cotton balls and foil wrap - so clearly the woman I had did not know what she was doing. I am also concerned for the staff - no safety glasses as they file acrylics down - one manicurist got a fleck in her eye while I was there and I commented that she should wear safety glasses and she said she was not allowed to. I feel sorry for them. For my own safety I won't be going back. read more

As the other reviews are from out of town and state people it is hard to believe they really have been there. Plus some of the descriptions of place is off. Here is the real deal. Very friendly staff. Very quick and do detail work. Affordable but yes they do up sale. If you say no they still do a great job unlike other salons. The salon is clean but humble. If you want 5 Star atmosphere and then pay the $$$ and go there. I do not consider a $20 pedicure to be $$$. read more
