No seriously she was rude yelling "Last Name" "get on board". No eye contact. Prior to this I was considering using Amtrak to visit my son as it seemed so convenient. But nope, not after seeing how rude she was. Yea folks it takes just one person. As Apprehensive as I was her attitude sealed my decision. Second the train station was dirty, smelly (urine) it literally backed to a restaurant and while it looks like the city is working on the structural issues they need daily attention to the cleanliness of the facilities. I was surprised as to how many passengers came off the train at our stop. Trash was littered all over. Only one bench on the south bound side of the tracks. This is a historic town where locals pride themselves on their homes and historic buildings and this left me very upset as to how neglected the train station was. I do t know who has the responsibility to clean it. But someone needs to step up.

Fix your screen and set up and quit screwing people over. Luckily we were able to get a refund, but still! Now again, today, 6/24/2025. Train arrival time was 4:07. So ive been here since. Mom calls me and said, they just let everyone know, that it won't be until about 6/630. Wonder how many other people are here waiting to pick up there person at 4:07 and now have to wait till 6. Communication is unacceptable. I understand its hot, but it was hot at 9am this morning, before the train even left, couldve been told something then. Terrible Communication, different tracks than said it would be, people missed trains and instead of giving time to switch, they just dip out. Always late and delayed every time she gets the train. I understand things happen, but seems like amcrap needs to assess how they do things and fix them. They've lost a customer and hopefully they'll lose more, with thi ms review. Save yourself the hassle, find another way, amcrap is crap! Only gave 1 star cause its making me, this is a 0 star company.

My children love seeing the Amtrak trains roll by so we stop by to see them whenever we can and whenever the trains are actually on time (but that's a different story). I'll add I've never got on/off Amtrak from this location, but my brother frequents this station when he goes up to New York for work and he loves the convenience of the station. The folks at the station are really kind too. They've given my kids little train whistles in the past and it's always lovely to hear their interactions with travelers. I'll add that it's great that they built that overpass walkway where you can now park your cars on the other side for that much more convenience to accessing the train station. It was much needed!

If you ride the metro you can see there is an obvious difference with certain metro stops when compared to other areas and especially to those on the VA side. Many of you know what I am saying. If you see the Allied security people in the parking lock I think they just like playing dress up because they really don't do much. Not body shaming but if something went down I do not see any of them running more than 20 feet so maybe that's the reason they stay in their car. I can say they are not doing much from what I see. If you see the Metro police which is a rarity, you will think that something must have happened for them to be out at this station. It would be nice if they were around to handle some of the things you will see at this metro. What do you see? Well, some of these include constant fare evaders, a man with his phallus out (in front of kids) at the entrance front of everyone urinating at the entrance (sorry no pictures), and a train schedule that's seems to be optional. This is not just a Branch problem but it is more prevalent at Branch. The trains seem to be having a hard issue with the retorn to office and the arrival/departure times are nowhere close to being correct. This is one of those things where it might be an only option for some and based on convenience it is the best option also. Still it would be nice if the give a damn was turned up a bit more to equal what I see in other stations.
