The Short Version: This place is an amp lovers heaven…read more The Long Version: I decided to take a short trip up to Roxy Guitars. When you first walk in, it looks like a small average guitar shop, but if you look closer, you'll see it is anything but ordinary. They have pretty much ever pedal every made, nicely displayed in a huge set of cases. But the real magic happens when you venture upstairs. Never before in any guitar shop have I seen such a collection of amplifiers. Matchless, Buddha, Suhr, Engl, Marshall, Fender, Orange, Vox, Diveded by 13 and many many more. It was like I had died and gone to amp heaven. There were so many I was actually a little overwhelmed with where to start. Lou, the owner, and his associate were amazing. I spent about 2 hours playing about 5 amps with there help, then had him draw up a quote to order me a custom one. They were amazing. In addition to the unbelievable assortment of amps, they have dozens of high end guitars. Many boutique and custom shop one of a kind guitarswith exotic woods. They have a ton of a guitar called a Warrior, which is a brand I have never heard of until today, but they seem amazing. The inlay work was remarkable. I feel lucky to have discovered this gem and look forward to doing business with them. I will be back soon!

I was very nervous about a piano purchase from Philly, as I am in Boston. I had to play it to see if I loved it, because it's a life investment. Piotr told me what was done to this Steinway A3. Pin block ten years old, strings 10 years, and the rest fully restored by him, using genuine Steinway parts. Well, I said what if I don't connect with it? Your gonna take it back? He said yes, so I agreed. He drove here, set it up, I played it for hours, and then said I loved it. He took my K Kawai in trade, and there you have it. He fully guaranteed it his work. Don't know what drives this person, but he is quality like I've NEVER seen. I could not recommend Piotr and Opus piano more. Go there! Only there! They are old world quality, and connection. It doesn't exist anymore, yet, I was lucky enough to find them. Now I have my last and final piano. My Steinway A3, not a B but just as good in my opinion... I'm a professional guitar player who was visiting Philadelphia from the west coast and decided to check out local music stores. The store was clean but beyond appearances this place was terrible. All the guitars I tried were dirty and out of tune; I told an employee that the truss rod needed to be adjusted on one and he didn't know what that was (a music store employee should know what that means). I couldn't hear myself try the guitar because the sole employee was signing and playing at the top of his lungs. I then asked him about how the teacher employment worked at their store and not only could he not answer, but he couldn't give me anyone's email or phone number to contact with questions. Very rude in general. Ive been in hundreds of music stores and this was among the worst
