I had 2 cataracts removed a week apart in June 2025. There is not one thing negative to say about…read morethis whole experience. Dr. Ackler is so professional and experienced I trusted her and her staff completely. Her office is so quaint and comfortable, the staff is great, I felt completely taken care of throughout. The surgical center is comfortable (but cold! temp that is). The nurses and staff answer all your questions. And it doesn't hurt at all. You can't go wrong choosing Dr. Akler. I'm sure you won't be disappointed, but quite impressed.

Amazing! I've been wearing glasses and contacts(-5.5 and -7.0) since I was 5 years old, I'm 42 now…read more I had LASIK with Dr. Akler two days ago and I can see just like I'm wearing contacts. It's awesome! Dr. Akler says my vision will further improve which is crazy for me to think about. Dr. Akler, Barbara, and their whole staff are very thorough with their consultation. They did tests the "commercial LASIK" places didn't do when I went there for a consult. The surgery was the weirdest thing you can do, but I would do it again hands down x 1000000. The surgery itself was pain-free. Dr. Akler talks you through the whole surgery while she's doing it. I did have some pain for the first 2 hours when I got home, but it went away and hasn't been back. I've had no complications and I attribute that to a great consultation (ensuring I'm a good candidate), following the pre-op instructions, and the skills and knowledge of Dr. Akler. It's mind-blowing to be able to see this well without my contacts. If you're looking to get rid of glasses and contacts, look no further than Akler Eye Care. My only regret is not getting this done sooner in life! Thank you Dr. Akler!

Today was my first visit to see Dr Kim at TUKEL Eye place. My appt was for 8:40 and when I arrived…read morethere were several patients already lined up before me to see the same doctor. And more and more people kept joining us in the waiting room. Honestly I was a bit miffed (honestly, I easily get my panties in a bunch) as I felt the office had over-booked appointments. I asked the intake person how long the wait would be as we were all there to see the same doctor, and I would gladly go across the street to Maria's Diner for a coffee. She assured me it would not be long. I was called up quickly after that, and I met with several staff members to complete various tests (dilated my eyes, vision exams etc) before seeing Dr Kim who viewed my eyes and gave me the most thorough and comprehensive exam I ever had in my life. (I'm over 50 years old.) as he talked with his staff member, I understood nothing, but once that was complete, he dumbed it down for me in non-medical terms to explain everything. Everyone was very kind and professional. Not a single staff member felt abrupt or too busy to explain things to me. Everyone was compassionate (I was using Medicaid and didn't even understand the difference between my medical and vision coverage, or what that meant from their end of things, and they took the time to explain it when they easily could have said - call your insurance! They were all really great.

I was in the waiting room the entire time and he did NOT come out or give me any information. Did NOT explain to her what was happening with her vision, did NOT give her any prescription meds or for glasses and wanted her to come back in a month but had no appt for 3 months. In addition he said something was in her chart and would not accept that it was wrong. He is the worst!!! Would not recommend
