I was looking for a quality barber in the Worcester area and McGreevy came up as a top selection and I have been please each time that I have visited for a haircut. They have improved their facilities by expanding and upgrading the space which shows so investment to make it a quality spot. The atmosphere also seemed very selective. The barbers appeared friendly and conversational with certain customers they already knew or preferred, but that same energy wasn't extended to everyone. I understand that barbers naturally build closer relationships with some regulars, but basic acknowledgment still goes a long way. I'm generally friendly, don't give people a hard time, and try to keep a positive attitude when doing business with someone, so repeatedly feeling ignored was uncomfortable. Erin cut my hair during my visits and was always kind, patient, and willing to listen to what I wanted. The cuts could be a little slow, and they seemed somewhat less familiar with curlier hair, but the results were still pretty good and they clearly made an effort. I can't speak to the cutting ability of the other barbers because I never had an appointment with them. The work I received was okay, but the shop's overall customer service and atmosphere could be much more welcoming.
