We have 3 children at Lee's Champion Taekwondo Academy and are huge fans of this program. We've seen first-hand how participant after participant has the opportunity to learn and grow. The Lees are a very caring family. They work hard to help all of their students excel and reach their goals. Along with teaching Martial Arts, they are also teaching leadership, respect, goal-setting, self-defense, and fitness. Grand Master Lee & Mrs. Lee make a great team. As a very busy parent, I love how organized their studio is. Classes are on time, students have fun, and they learn a lot. The students work very hard to achieve their goals and get the support they need to do their best. I also appreciate that their black belts can be certified thru the World Taekwondo Center in Korea. It adds credibility to their training along with a rich history of accountability, tradition, and well-developed excellence. We first discovered LCTA through a referral at my work. I was looking for activities that would be good for my young son who was showing signs of focus, attentiveness and hyperactivity issues. We could not have landed in a better place! We started with the Tiny Tigers program when my son was 4 and he earned his first degree black-belt this year just after he turned 8. Master Lee does a particularly incredible job with the kids - both setting expectations with them, but keeping it fun too. He teaches many life lessons, from safety and self-defense to goal-setting to how to handle situations when things don't go as you plan (smile and do it again). As my son transitioned into full-day school, he had a hard time with the basics of sitting still and focusing. Taekwondo showed him he could be successful at both - at one point, he said the meditation at the start of his taekwondo class was his favorite! This Taekwondo academy is a great place if you are looking for a martial arts school. The environment is healthy, safe, fun, respectful, and much much more. My son started Taekwondo at this school when he was four and kept on going for four years or so. We are all very happy with this school. Master Lee is very friendly and funny, and knows very well how to motivate his students and deal with small children. I saw lots of very shy and quiet little kids became confident and active ones through this school. Not only the Taekwondo, this school also teaches respect others, be a good community member, and be a good role mode. Their lessons include a self-defense, too.
