He then walked me through what he was going to do and the services he offered. I asked him for a formal quote, and I received it a few hours later. I vetted 7 companies and chose him. The biggest reason the other 6 didn't want to come out to see what the job really was. After he completed the work, he took pictures of EVERYTHING he did and took the time to explain it to me. I absolutely would hire this guy again. I'm going to have him out in later November to clear all the gutters and then probably have him out when my house reaches the 10-year mark to do 10-year maintenance. The owner Sotero responded to my request for quote very promptly. I hired his company to clean my gutters. He promised to arrive at 9am on a Saturday and he arrived at 9 am sharp ! He did a fantastic job, he climbed on the roof and made sure not only the gutters were clean but the entire roof. He also blew all the leaves on my driveway on my walkway, left everything looking really nice !! He even cleaned the gutters and blew the roof on my backyard shed. He even noticed that there was a small hole on my roof shed and he repaired it without me even asking !!! Furthermore I can tell that he is very knowledgeable about roofs as he was able to give me a lot of advice about how to properly take care of my roof. Finally the price was very reasonable. I'd rather support a family business that one of those large companies that will end up subcontracting work to someone else. So I will be calling Sotero for all my roofing needs ! His estimate was fair, and included replacing some rotted boards at no extra cost. Scheduled within days, showed up on time, worked all day. Did the work himself--no subcontractors. He just had his helper, Eduardo. He replaced even more rot than expected. Within a 2 days, the job was all done, my yard was clean, and I had beautiful new gutters. Before I could even enjoy my shower the tile walls started cracking. There was a big hole in one tile that had been filled in with grout to hide. I eventually had to hire another contractor to come in and demo EVERYTHING that Joe had done, and redo my entire bathroom again. When the new contractor took out the shower, we found that the pipes had cuts in them and Joe had just covered them up. Everything that Joe did had to be replaced because of the poor installation. I paid him over 28k, and I paid for most of the materials myself. He is very dishonest, and made promises that he NEVER intended to keep. He said he would call me to schedule a meeting to talk about a refund, and he hasn't returned any of my calls, emails or text. if you are considering him for a job, DON'T!!!!! He and his workers who are not licensed, scratched my laminate flooring in 3 rooms. Unfortunately my flooring is no longer available so the rooms would need to be completely replaced. He said he could fix the scratches, but he hasn't. He has no regard for personal property.
