Lee's has gone from "famous" to infamous at this point. It's very expensive ($32.99 for 6 pieces plus some decent Cole slaw) and poor quality. We wanted to give it a try and are truly sorry we did. purchased two 3 piece dinners. The first piece out of the box was a dried up breast (I think). It was terrible. Second was a drum stick and I ate it but the smell was beginning to overcome me so I didn't finish the third piece. Soon afterward I had severe gas and a stomach ache. Woke up in the middle of the night with severe diaherria. I strongly believe this Lees location uses the cheapest oil available and seldom changes it. This is not the first time I have had eating their product but it will definitely be the last. Will now wait for the new Popeyes location to get chicken. The food is good if you get what you ordered. However, more than I can count on my fingers and toes have I ordered a chicken strip box and received boned chicken pieces instead. I always ask for famous too and sometimes it's spicy chicken pieces that I didn't order. Well, today the same thing happened. I ordered a famous box and received chicken pieces. Just terrible. In a 20 piece meal there were 9 wings, 4 miniature drumsticks, 4 back attached two bite whatever's and 3 of the teeniest breast pieces I've ever seen. What an absolute rip off. Chicken tasted old and was dried out and lukewarm. Shorted an extra box of fries that I paid for, staff not on the ball at all. We WERE frequent customers but last two times food quality sucked. Was working late in Duncan, looking forward to chicken dinner take out. Got to order in drive through, had to wait too long to give order. Asked for bucket mostly dark please. No dark ! Changed to strips, 9 pieces for $25? , really?! So hungry ! Got to window and was told not ready for another 7 min. You've got to be kidding! Left disappointed and without food. My wife and I went to the drive-through at Lee's Chicken in Duncan, B.C., and a few minutes after we left we found they'd got our order wrong. We tried to get our correct order, and the manager told us we have to give them back the food they'd given us if we want the food we'd paid for. We said that because of covid-19 it's not safe for them to take the food back after it had been outside the restaurant. She said it was policy, and wouldn't give us our food. We ultimately gave the food back so that we could get our correct order. This restaurant may not be safe if they're taking in returned food from outside that could be contaminated with covid19. Went here for lunch with my friend on our way home and decided to go through the drive through but only one of us ended up getting something because the staff apparently doesn't know how to Make more than one order at a time. Service was great and very attentive. Unfortunately I was VERY disappointed with the food. $36.00 6pc overcooked, dryer than a butterless popcorn f&*t. VERY small portions...(They really do grow mini-chickens). Example..I measured a chicken leg 2.5", shameful. Ribs were meatless and again EXTREMELY small portions. Hey! the sauce was to die for! There were no sides or drinks ordered or included with this complaint. I had not had fried chicken for a very long time and was really looking forward to a treat. That drive-through line up takes about 10 minutes per car. The kiosk where you speak into was so poor that I could not understand the guy and he could not understand me. I had to drive up to the window to communicate what I would like to order after confirming they had the right food in stock and I paid for it, he came back to me declaring that they did not have it after all and I had to order something else. After that he came back to me and said it was not ready and I have to wait at the parking lot for them to get the food ready. Second visit at Lee's. First visit ordered the chicken sandwich, was decent. Thought I'd come back and try the fried chicken. Arrived at around 5:30pm on a weekday and ordered the 9pc bucket and some sides. Was surprised when the chicken was ready within 30seconds of ordering... Normally this close to dinner time it is normal to have prepped food ready, so didn't think much of it. Was offered a mix of original and spicy. The original was decent, the batter reminded me of tempura style, crunchy and fluffy, albeit slightly greasy especially since it was not the freshest of batches. Spicy fried chicken was... very disappointing. Could hardly bite into the breast pieces as it was not only cold but stiff as jerky. Ended up throwing away 3 of 9 pieces for being completely inedible. At $30+ for 9 pieces and sides, it certainly was disappointing. Probably still better than KFC, but if this local joint can't do quality control even around dinner rush, not sure if worth the extra dough. read more

Twice now I've gone thru the drive thru, ordered 9 piece dinner with mashed potato/gravy. Both times it was a good 2 hours before they closed. They took my order, had me pay (I used debit card) and then and only then did they tell me they were out of mashed potatoes and that the only pieces of chicken they had were wings and drumsticks, would I be fine with that?!! I made them give me my money back as I wasn't going to pay for 9 pieces of chicken that are all skin and bones AND have to settle for a box of cold greasy fries instead of mashed potatoes and gravy. I was annoyed as hell that they would take my order, make me wait in the busy drive thru line up, get me to pay and only then tell me they were out of both items I ordered, counting on the fact that once I paid with my debit card that I would just take anything they offered! Another time when I went thru the drive thru (1 1/2 hours before they're closed) they told me that I would have to settle for half regular, half spicy chicken, it's all they had left. Obviously I was annoyed so I drove up to the window and asked to speak with the manager and the employee rolled her eyes at me but did get the manager. I asked the manager, being that they're specifically a chicken joint, how could they be out of chicken? The manager said they weren't out of chicken and a new batch would be up in 7 mins! I told her that's not what her employee just told me. The manager couldn't have looked less interested. I said I'd wait the seven mins. but then when I tried to order mashed potatoes and gravy they told me they ran out of gravy a couple of hours ago and that they didn't have time to make anymore! What the hell is wrong with this restaurant? Why are they open if they haven't anything to sell? All I've heard for months is restaurant employees/owners complaining about how long they went without working and how Covid19 is negatively impacting their business and finally when they're open again, this is the best they can do?!! Well it's not good enough for this girl. Haven't been back since nor will I ever. There's a lot of other restaurants in our community that are far more deserving of our monetary support, I'll be going to one of them next time. R.W. read more

This place is awesome. The lunch special is a great deal. I would rate this place way above Popeyes chicken and KFC. The best part was the service. We received better service here then we have at sit down restaurants. The food was brought to our table when it was ready within about 2 minutes of ordering. Then the server noticed we had extra food and brought us out a take out container before we even asked. read more
