Probably the worst dental experience of my life from the extractions to the insertion of the dentures. Which were wrong several times and the doctor actually tried to send me home with a pair that did not fit correctly. The sign should read neanderthal dentistry. If I could leave a 0 I would. The dentist here is horrible. I have no many reasons for my opinion. First, when I was scheduled to get a wisdom tooth taken out, I expected to be sedated. However, he refused and said that he only does the numbing shots. That's all fine but I was terrified and had extreme anxiety about the whole process and he could visibly see me shaking. He gave me the shots and had started. When he was pulling and tugging and bending the tool the opposite way to attempt to pull out the tooth, i obviously couldn't feel the pain, but i could feel the immense pressure and noises. I started making a whimpering noise because it was so scary and uncomfortable. He proceeds to angrily say "Why are you crying". Obviously I can't answer with tools in my mouth. He had always been such a rude person and has no care for his patients. The second I walked out of the office I started balling my eyes out and couldn't calm down for a while. I then attempted to call them days later, after I found an oral surgeon that would sedate me for the surgery, to get a referral for it. They told me they would call me back and never did. I proceeded to call the next day and they did the same thing saying they would need to talk to the manager person and would call me back, BUT NEVER did. I continued to call them multiple times and had this same process and lies repeat. I finally called last week and told them how the surgeons said the office could just email me the referral and I would give it to the surgeon. They said they would email it to me. THEY NEVER DID. I called today for the final time and explained my frustration and that I still hadn't received a call back or an email. The lady said that she talked to the people and that the dentist of this office said they he does not do referrals "because he can do it here". He may be able to do it there but he does it so unprofessionally and is not nice. He will not sedate me. I should be allowed to choose where I get MY medical care. It should not be up to the dentist. I hate this place with all of my heart and I hope he goes out of business because he does not care about his patients at all. My fiancé also went there a few years ago and he was just as rude to him and got mad that he was making noise while the dentist pulled his tooth out. I absolutely love this Dentist Office. I'm 40 yrs old and needed a complete set of dentures. I was absolutely terrified. The office staff was always kind to me and very supportive. The dentist is absolutely amazing! Very skilled and as gentle as a person pulling out your teeth can be. I got my back teeth pulled Feb 26th and yesterday I had the rest pulled and my immediate dentures placed. Years of pain and trauma gone so quickly thanks to the dentist and his wonderful assistant and office staff. I see the bad reviews and not even once has any of what's in them been any of my experiences. The office is clean, staff very organized, very professional, kind and after yrs of trying to get my dental work done I am so grateful to have found this office and these wonderful people who work there. I've never smiled or looked forward to going to a dentist but this is my 5th trip and 4 of them I entered smiling and I left smiling. The first one I entered terrified and left relieved. I don't think I would have been confident, comfortable or brave enough to have done this without them. If you need a good dentist that is good at what he does and fast and efficient go here. If you are scared like I was go here. My immediate dentures are so beautiful and fit my face like they are mine. And they accept a wide range of insurance INCLUDING MEDICAID! I don't see myself ever going to any other dentist office than this one. I'm never one to leave reviews or complain because I myself work in customer service! BUT I just had to warn people about my experience here. I've never had any cavities in my entire life. I went there and they told me I had EIGHT cavities. And then they filled three. Which my bite was completely off for a while from the horrible filling job. I understand things happen but it had only been a year since I had been to the dentist, where they at that appointment told me I had no cavities. So I went and got a second opinion. And to my surprise I had ZERO cavities and they filled my teeth for absolutely no reason. I highly suggest you don't go there, or they may mess up your teeth like they messed up mine. read more

WORST PLACE EVER!!! I WOULD NOT SEND MY CAT HERE OR MY WORST ENEMY!!!! The staff is rude as hell, but want to say they rude because I snapped on all of them!!! I went to them in October 2022 for an emergent extraction. I have very bad ptsd from dental trauma. I always get put under for anything more than a cleaning. They don't offer this, and because I have shit insurance(wellcare) no where, very few will take this insurance. Now, the last month, I need A LOT of work done, implants, extractions, crowns, etc. I have a dental emergency, a tooth that has a 90 degree angle cut out of it and nerves exposed and needs to be broke and pulled in pieces. I called and asked for a referral, told me I needed an appt to discuss. 1. I no longer live in Lexington, I am an hour and 10 minutes away. 2. Why do I need to come discuss when I need a referral because you don't offer what I need? 3. I gave them the place I needed to be referred to and location. 4. I had to cave and schedule an appt. Bc the tooth needs to come. WELL HERE I AM LEAVING WITH NO DAMN REFERRAL!!!!! I drove one hour and 10 minutes and he walks in, well we don't give referrals but we can give recommendations, so yeah I flipped the fuck out!!! The front staff knew exactly what I needed and so did he. Bc it was discussed numerous times on the phone and what exactly I needed. So I freaked out and said "so you all just wasted my time, my gas, my insurance" let me also say I've had s migraine and bed bound for 2 days but ventured out to get this referral. He then says he will refer me to this place, i said they don't take my insurance I've called everywhere, no one on staff could tell me if they took my insurance but yet referring ppl there who have limited options?!?!? I was told it's not their business to know and I should figure it out. So I go to the front to leave, then he refuses to me give me the referral to that place, because he didn't like my tone, well I didn't like you wasting my fucking time, money, gas, and while suffering with a chronic migraine. The lack of compassion, maturity, professionalism, is disgusting and no one there should be allowed to work in the presence of other humans. I'm a medical provider and I can assure you I bend over backwards for my patients when they need referrals/orders/etc. and when I do refer them I know every detail about the business, etc. I am beyond frustrated with the waste of a 70 minute drive. read more

Will not be returning and do not recommend. While front desk staff and hygienists were all super friendly, Dr. Ufomata only spent a minute looking at my teeth and it was the hygienist who said I had 10 cavities that needed to be filled immediately. This came as a shock. I got a second opinion from another dentist in town who disagreed, noting that cavities can begin and be watched for years, even decades without needing to be filled. I am worried about the aggressive treatment plans at Leestown Dental Care and disappointed in the lack of explanation from Dr. Ufomata and the hygienist. Staff was really nice during my visit. Got x-rays but no cleaning which was strange. I usually get a cleaning done on my visit when I go to the dentist. They scheduled me to come back the next day and get a cleaning because my husband had an appointment also. I forgot I had a work commitment because they caught me off guard with the whole we aren't doing the cleaning today thing, so I had to call and cancel. The cleaning should be done during the appointment it's unheard of. They had moved my husbands appointment time up too so I was trying to get his original time slot back. I don't know who I talked to, but she was beyond rude! All I was trying to do was reschedule the appointments and we had literally been there just a few hours before. They messed up my fillings and told me I just wasn't used to the dental work when I complained. I had three fillings done, each with a different issue after he was done. He fused my back molars together, I can't eat cold foods, and if I floss it is very painful and catches the floss. He made me make separate appointments for each problem and was in and out as fast as possible. When I told him The edges of the once-fused molars was sharp he waved a hand and left the room. If I could give this office 0 stars I would. They are extremely unprofessional and organized. I had 2 go back twice for moldings that were lost and than there were insurance problems in which I found out claim was never processed, and after all that went wrong receptionist scream at me and said well none of that matters now. You signed an agreement you'll still have to pay. The nerve after all the incompetence. And 7 months later still nothing. Save yourself the stress and drama. Go somewhere else. read more

Receptionist at this place violated HIPPA law by giving out my wife's private medical information to her husband and his friends. They then tried to charge us $189 to repair work that they did wrong. The office manager is very rude and the Dentist is very unprofessional. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. They are a danger to the community. I wish I could give 0 stars! read more

This office is so unorganized it's not funny. I got 4 calls confirming my appointment and every time it was wrong. I picked 10am, I got a call saying 1:30, 4pm, 2:45. Like wtf i have not even made it in to the office and i see this is not where i want to go! I spoke with the manager who really didn't care, just kept saying okay come in at 10am we can fit you in! By far the best dentist I've ever been to. The entire staff is extremely friendly and makes me feel very comfortable. I've never had to sit in the waiting room for over 10 minutes because they almost always take me straight back. I highly recommend Dr. Ufomata and his staff. read more
