The best cleaners in OKC. Maybe even the best cleaners I've ever been to. Seriously. Efficient operation. Nice vibe. Pleasant people (especially Carla, Tammy, and Cecilia). And here's the kicker: unmatched results. My shirts (including some warhorse go-to dress shirts) have never emerged from their little plastic cleaner wraps so clean. I actually had to go back in and ask them "how do you folks do it? What's the secret to getting it this clean?" I have used this location for the last few years, but this week I dropped off items that were later picked up and paid for by someone else. When I call to see what happened and later went by there, the manager said that she couldn't explain how that happened and "maybe there were two of me" and did NOT apologize, but said that I was welcome to check back in and see if they showed up. Does a pretty good job cleaning. I haven't been to many dry cleaners but their prices are extraordinarily high. When I dropped off my items, I asked if a certain solvent was used, as multiple of my garments specifically said do not use this solvent. I was met with a blank stare and cluelessness. I then asked if other items could be "gentle dry cleaned" as they also called for this on the tags. Response was they're just gonna throw it in the machine so no. Got home, was checking all of my items, one of the shirts I dropped off shrank at least two sizes, it is extremely small now. Stickers with barcodes were put onto my items and they are basically heat sealed on, so they are nearly impossible to remove, especially on the more delicate pieces. One of the items I dropped off was a very nice sweater I purchased earlier last year, cost somewhere around $400, on top of the heat sealed sticker, they wrote with sharpie on the tag in the back. My issues are all small, but there are enough of them to make me not want to come here again. read more

This is one of the worst dry cleaning service companies I've ever been to and if you are considering dropping off clothes you like and want to wear again then I highly discourage you from going here. The last time I brought several of my items here, a few months ago, they permanently stained more than 3 of my items. When I confronted them about the fact that they had not only stained expensive clothing but they permanently pressed said stain it into the clothing. The manager said there was nothing they could do and had no remorse. I was honestly shocked. You typically take clothes to the dry cleaning for the ease of having nice clothing cleaned and preserved- not to have its life cycle shortened. One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given here was from another customer telling me not to leave one of my favorite dresses here instead she gave me step by step instructions on how to dry clean my own clothing from home. I got a coat from a family member. It smelled like old closet...no stains, just old closet smell. I took the coat in for cleaning...It cost $60 to clean. After paying the $60 and picking it up... it still smells like old closet. I spoke to the manager, and she said she can't guarantee that it will get clean. on yesterday(8/16/2024), regretfully i had my first encounter with a karen - so here's what led up to it. on 08/01/224, i took a pant suit i had purchased into the legacy cleaners located at 4917 n. western and inquired as to if they had someone who could put a hem in pants and robe - the person i spoke was tammy - during our conversation she asked me how short i wanted the aforementioned pant suit to taken up - i said by instruction, i think the pants needed to be hemmed about 2 inches and robe about 4 inches... she said they did not have anyone in the store who does alterations so she would have to send my items out to get them done, and that it would take approximately 2 weeks before i could pick them up - i agreed.. on, 08/15/2024), i went in to pick up my items and told that cost of the alterations were $72 and some change - i paid the cost.. when i got home and tried on the aforementioned suit, they were both still too long - i called tammy and informed her that the pants were still too long and so was the robe.. she said - "take them to our store located on broadway in edmond that's where the is lady is located who does our alterations - tell her you talked to tammy and i told you to ask for a "do over"" - i asked her if i would need to pay for the "do over" since i already paid $72 - she said "no, just tell her i sent you".. (my first karen encounter) on 08/16/2024,, when i walked into the store located at 1208 s. broadway,, with my garments there was a lady standing at the counter - i said hello, tammy at the store located on n. western sent me over and told me to ask for a "do over" for this suit( i put the suit on the counter) - before i could say anything else she said - "if you want me to do it again, you have to pay again" - i was trying to her(demonstrating by putting on the robe) that it was still too long - she said, i already did it before and im not going to do it again unless you pay again - she also said - you should have come here and let me measur you - i'm not going to do it again unless you pay.. my response to her was - how was i supposed to know that i should have come here for measurementsnobody told me that... let me interject - the robe and the pants were so long that when i tried to walk in them, i was stepping on them - there was no change after the "alterations" (1). when i requested alterations - i should have been told to take my garments to their other store.. (2). tammy should have called/texted me to inform me that this rude/unprofessional/ignorant person that she referred me to had refused to make additional alterations prior to me driving 45 minutes to get to this ambush!! (3). i was made to be a punching bag unawares!! - why did this unprofessional / ignorant/rude person take her anger/frustrations out on me - she was obviously very much aware that tammy sent me to her(by her own admission).. (4). i think this ignorant/rude/unprofessional person was tring to provoke me - hence the feeling of an ambush.. so, now i'm worse off then when i started - i still have a pant suit i can't wear and i'll have to pay again for alterations!! i'm being very generous with my 1 rating - only because 0(zero) is not an option!!! read more

I get it, and am not expecting perfection. after spending more time than I'd have liked with the staff, it ultimately made its way to the owner. He was gracious and worked with me. Legacy Cleaners on Western worked miracles on my late mother's beautiful suede jacket to which a name tag had become permanently affixed. I had attempted to remove the name tag even using tweezers, but to no avail. The sympathetic lady at the counter told me they could not guarantee its removal, as a matter of fact she really did not think it could be removed without leaving the outline of the offending name tag, but I begged her to try anyway. Two weeks later they texted me it was ready and lo and behold it looks like a brand new jacket. My mother would be so pleased! After being charged for a $14 "dry clean" instead of a "press". Calling to ask why I was charged for the difference and being told "a dry clean and a press is like the same thing I think.. it's the same amount of stuff you have to do so there's no price difference". I get home and take my dress out of the cleaners bag to it ALREADY WRINKLED. So, I paid $14 for a brand new unworn dress with tags still attached to be in the same wrinkly condition I had originally dropped it off as. I've trusted Legacy with my dry cleaning since I moved to OKC a year and a half ago and I have never been disappointed! Cleaning a floor length bridesmaid dress from an outdoor OK wedding in July after a barefoot dance floor kind of night is no small feat. They are extremely quick; without specifically requesting, my clothes have always been ready to pick up the next day, and have even been ready the same day when requested. They are pricey, but I would recommend them for their quality and efficiency, and for being a local business that gives back to the community. I've really struggled finding a dry cleaner, and I've decided that I'm going to have to stick with Legacy even though I've had to promise them my first born child and mortgage my house to pay for my dry cleaning. Well, maybe it's not That expensive, but almost. I've tried dry cleaning at other places and I never get the same quality of cleanliness and professionalism as Legacy. I mean one dry cleaner actually turned me away because of two much dog hair on my clothes. Isn't that the point of bringing you my clothes? To clean them? Another dry cleaner closer to my house actually STAPLED their tag through my air jacket! STAPLED! I never have those kinds of problems at legacy. My clothes always come back looking brand new and immaculate. Maybe some day I will be able to do my dry cleaning and not have sticker shock every time I go to pay the bill. I've had good experiences here all around. Legacy may not be the cheapest in town, no, but the service has always been good and consistent -- at least for us. They ruined our wedding dress We have a custom made fully silk wedding dress worn once only. Wanted to clean before the wedding. I have asked many place to get a good care of 10K worth of dress. I ended up with Legacy. When we are dropping off the dress we asked everything to make sure if they take care of. They were really confident and telling me bs about how experienced they are. We went to take the dress and my fiancé saw the dress, she almost lost her mind. That beautiful dress they ruined and Liz in the store was telling me better to take it a Taylor. They were so rude to us. She also yelled to my fiancé. We had a wedding on Sunday but it's Thursday and dress is ruined. They told me they will fix it. When I called the Legacy in the morning about the dress update someone on the phone told me "are you kidding me calling in the morning " they are so rude and careless. I can't recommend this place enough. We hosted a wedding during a very rainy Oklahoma evening and my new daughter-in-law's wedding dress was filthy! The train and bottom foot of her dress were literally dark grey. Since backyard wedding pics were out of the question d/t the weather we rescheduled and scrambled to have her dress cleaned when the photographer agreed to a time. My husband dropped her dress off at 10:15am on a Tuesday and got it back at 4:30pm the same day in what I can only say is a miracle....it was an unbelievable transformation. Considering the circumstances and limited timeframe they had to work with, it was a superb job. I have no doubt if they could of had the dress longer it would of come back even better. Amended 8/24/2008: I picked my cleaning yesterday, and it merited a revision in my rating. They give me my total, and I pay it. Then they pulled my order. Nothing different than normal, but I notice one of my shirts isn't bagged. This usually means a problem, so I take a look. It's an older shirt, but it's ripped along the seam from the tail to the armpit. I ask the counter attendant about it, and she tells me the fabric was weak. Ok, I respond, so what are you going to do about it? She hums and haws, then says, "Well...nothing. The fabric was weak, so it's not our fault." This is the spot in a movie where the action freezes, and the voiceover basically sets the tone for what happens next. I've really tried to correct my tendency to go from zero to nuclear instantly in situations like this, so I used my fall-back tactic: I looked at her with the best "You're joking, right" look I could muster. This did the trick, as she then stated, "You can ask (the manager) about a store credit when she gets back." I thought about this, since the store manager had left as I was arriving, then responded that I'd take it up with the manager later. So I get home, and I'm unloading my cleaning, and I check my tickets to make certain everything's there. That's when I notice: they charged me for the shirt they ruined. It may be Sunday, but I feel within my rights as a human being to call that discovery a WTF moment. To leave a charge on a bill for "cleaning" an item you destroy, a business must either be consumed with inattention or disdain for its customers. To Be Continued.... (Original post): This is my regular cleaners. They claim to use environmentally friendly cleaning methods and materials, they turn around my shirts very quickly (the plant is on site), and they're pretty friendly (well, the regular lady is). The only problem is that I can't seem to find anyone who can press shirts without crushing the top buttonhole at the collar. I know it's because they're machine-pressed, but I've offered to pay for a hand finish or a collar support on the button. I'm not paying $5-6 at Nichols Hills Cleaners for a total hand press, so I guess this is it. Good job, but room for improvement. read more

I would have never come to Legacy Cleaners except that I had a $25 gift card to use, so I figured I would bring some items here and try them out. I usually go to Swiss Cleaners and they run specials twice a week to make the cost a little more affordable. Who knew how expensive dry cleaning can be?! Anyway, I was satisfied with my service here but I don't see myself returning. A coat and dress alone ran about $30. My boyfriend's dress shirts were pretty reasonable ranging from $2.55-$6. If it weren't for the gift card, my total would have been nearly $45 and my bill at Swiss for the same amount of clothing is usually less than $30 with their specials. read more

This is my regular cleaners, and I have had pretty good luck with them. I have always found their prices to be a little high, but that is why they call it "taking you to the cleanrers." I can get over a slightly over-priced service, given that they do a good job and there is a pretty quick turn around time. However, at my last visit--and it will be my LAST visit--I dropped off a dress. This dress has a sash--and that is an overstatement, it's more like a ribbon--that ties around the waist. I took it off the garment as I was giving my items to the woman at the counter. She asked me to give her the "sash" simply to keep it with the dress--"so you won't lose track of it at home." Okay, I thought. That's friendly. I was emailed that my 7 garments were ready, knowing full well I only gave them 6. It was then that I realized they CHARGED me separately for the ribbon! When I brought this up with the woman ringing me up, she hemmed and hawed as a previous reviewer noted. I informed it is part of the dress and shouldn't be considered a separate item. To this, she responded that they had to take it off the dress, so it is seperate. I was charged $7+ for the press of this ribbon.
