When the time finally came to celebrate Xtreme sent 3 great team members to take care of us: a DJ, MC, and a photo booth attendant- John, Danny, & Mike. Our guests enjoyed when the DJ played "their song" as requested which was great to see their reactions. Photo booth was lots of fun and the attendant made it so easy. I love that they print however many strips you need based on how many people are in the photo and they provided me with a usb drive at the end of the night with all the photos. Jose was professional and his prices were competitive. I was looking for a basic DJ and MC but he was way more than I expected. We met a few days before the wedding to finalize the list of music and of course I was overprepared with 5 pages of music haha. But it was so comforting to know that he was familiar with a majority of the music. We were very worried that we wouldnt be able to find a DJ that could properly mix American, Carribbean and Spanish music. They did that and more. My wedding has been over 2 months ago and I still get calls about the DJ. They truly made the wedding and set the tone. The floor was literally jumping towards the end of the night!!! If only I could go back to that day!!! Jose even helped with non-DJ responsibilities...even just asking how everything was going!! I'll just put it out there - Elegancia Entertainment was a mixed-bag for us. Our collaboration with…read morethem started out well, but by the time our wedding was over, we were... underwhelmed. We met with them on a recommendation from my cousin.They did a great job at for him, and at the party I saw them DJ late last year. We met with the owner, Jose, and were impressed enough to book without seeing any other DJs. He innately has the elegance for which his company strives. He's a well organized, intelligent professional. We were sold on him, and his self-made photo booth. Things went a bit wonky months later when we later met the Emcee/DJ he assigned to us. You see, we had asked if he would be our Emcee, or emcee and DJ both. He said he could emcee, but there would be someone else DJing. We never confirmed with him that he was emceeing, and who we got was one of his contractors. After meeting this contractor, we saw he wasn't a great fit, but I knew I could pull together and supply enough music and provide all the cues he'd need. So we rolled with it. Our mistake. Another issue was that we thought we were hiring a 2-man team, but were told they need an extra hand, a lighting assistant. That's an extra vendor meal and extra tip, and we found out a month before the wedding. On the wedding day he missed the bride's entrance cue. I had listed out (and supplied) four different pieces of music, one each for the parents, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids and the bride. He didn't switch to the bridesmaid music when they walked out, so he thought their music was the bride's music. She wouldn't come out until our Maitre 'D rushed over to tell him to switch the music. As to the reception, things went well until the dancing started. He started our first (choreographed) dance without a cue - we rushed to be in position to start. The music during the reception was tepid - the consensus amongst the guests was that his set skewed older. He didn't read the crowd very well, and didn't really get what I was trying to convey during our meeting. There were a couple of other small matters, but the gist is that this guy didn't listen well - he suggested and defaulted to the things he had done before. He wasn't a good match for us, whereas we feel Jose would have been. Bottom line is this: We might recommend Elegancia in the future, but with these caveats. 1. Try to get Jose to emcee, or truly vet his contractors for fit. 2. Be sure to voice your concerns as soon as you have them. 3. Be very specific about your needs and wants. Maybe even micro-manage the music flow.

The worker came out and invited patrons of the event to use the photo booth which is good to coax out people who don't want to come off narcissistic however also don't want to waste an opportunity to be photographed dressed to the nines. There were fun props and the set up didn't take up too much space. Only suggestion is to potentially have iPads with the software to select photos and upload them to social media, rather than having a line form when leaving the booth. The screen was a bit small and I noticed the girls with long nails having issues being precise putting in their email addresses. First world problems. Larry let me know they've expanded to Tampa and are even expanding to Philly in the near future which is impressive for only being open 2 years. Larry is also a firefighter and all around nice guy so I would definitely recommend supporting this local business as they did a really nice job with the event.

DJ Lucky was hired for all 3 of our events including Mehndi, Reception and Walima in late 2018…read more First he came to our Mehndi 3 hours late, half way through the event and was not even the slightest bit apologetic. He blamed traffic claiming he hit 5 hours of traffic when we had several friends and family that came from the same area in Long Island and managed to make it on time. Because he was so late we had to delay starting the Mehndi because we had no music to walk in to. Then when it came to payment he was aggressively arguing with my husband and father in law that he deserved every penny (in spite of playing only half the party). Other than this issue his overall music selection was poor and he played several inappropriate club type american songs that were never requested. Because we were so unhappy with his music selection we gave him a list of songs for the reception and walima however he totally ignored them and continued to play his poor selection of music which my sister had to keep requesting he change. Lastly on the day of our walima once again he played Watch me Whip/Nae Nae and made a loud announcement that he wanted my husband and I to come to the dance floor and dance to this song. You'd think that after 2 previous events and us requesting that he not play this type of music he would have gotten it but NO, clearly it was worst at the walima. My husband and I literally just looked at him and said no and he continued to attempt to coax us which was worse. The reason I was particularly frustrated with this is because my husband and I are both from conservative, punjabi families and this type of music appealed to NOBODY. Overall this was a horrendous experience, he lacks DJ skills and people skills and I would recommend that people think twice before booking. I know we had already decided that when my siblings get married we would never even consider hiring him again.
