I'm writing this review because I believe accountability matters in this industry. I trusted this artist with a meaningful tattoo and unfortunately, the execution was extremely disappointing. The line work was inconsistent, shading was poorly blended, and the overall result did not reflect the quality shown on his page. When I reached out privately to address my concerns, I was hoping for professionalism and resolution. Instead of taking accountability or offering any form of constructive conversation, I was blocked. Being blocked for respectfully expressing dissatisfaction speaks volumes. The one star is for how clean the shop was. Thats it. I had an appointment to get a floating naval piercing with Taylor on a thursday, Im honestly glad I didnt. I have done my research on who a floating naval piercing would suit best and I definitely am a candidate for one. I have had a few traditional naval piercings over the past 15 yrs and all with the exception one, had to be taken out for a surgery. I was fully aware of what could cause rejection in naval piercings and now after all these years I know I have a collapsing naval and the traditional naval piercings I got in the past had a big affect on the healing process . So I went in the shop, no one was at the reception area or in that shop all together . I believe another staff member said hello way from the tattoo area could be bothered to come over to where I was to greet me :-/ but OK ..and that was about it . I got no what are you looking to get? Or who are you here to see :-/ soooo I just stood there for a minute. I then saw the form to complete for your visit I started filling it out , out popped Taylor from the back . She greeted me and asked me what I was looking to get pierced , I advised a floating naval piercing and she took a look at my belly button. While she was assessing the naval area she asked me basic questions like how many times have I had a naval piercing done I told her AND I told her why I feel they rejected . Taylor then goes: Well , who told you you needed a floating naval piercing ? As if I was wrong for requesting that specific method :-/ . I said well Ive done research and I assumed since my belly button is shaped this way the traditional piercing did not work for me and saw this as an option. Taylor explained a few things regarding the scarring I had and that it would be difficult to pierce and that my piercing would most likely reject again. At that point I felt bad like I could never get another naval piercing again in this lifetime just because of the past rejections and little scar tissue present . The way she looked at my naval and just acting extremely apprehensive on even wanting to get near it . It made me feel worse ! I have an average build nothing out of the ordinary the scarring wasn't crazy either normal scarring that can happen in these situations. Taylor suggested looking for a specialist for piercings and I have never had a consultation by a knowledgeable experienced piercer tell me that. So that made me feel even worse that I would have to seek a specialist of some sort to see if I can get a piercing?! wow. I can keep going on how crappy I felt that day! but wont because I went to Zebra tattoo instead and they treated me with care and thoroughly explained the process , got a consultation and told me that everyone has a different anatomy type! and the traditional piercings aren't for everyone that is why they have the floating method available. I felt hopeless after leaving this place, after Taylor giving me all the reasons why she couldn't do my piercing , Zebra gave me all the reasons why THEY COULD AND DID . So happy I got my floating naval piercing elsewhere , I dont want to be reminded of how crappy about my anatomy and overall I felt coming in for an appointment to get showed the door and given NO other piercing options. I wouldn't want the reminder of all that IF she did end up doing the piercing. I will NOT be returning here for any reason. read more

I came in for helix piercings after reading great reviews about Taylor, but since she wasn't available, I did a walk-in with another piercer. I was really excited going in and had a general idea of the placement. However, when the initial marking looked off and wasn't symmetrical with my other ear, I asked for it to be adjusted. I tried to be polite and even apologized for asking for changes, but the piercer seemed visibly frustrated. He sighed multiple times, and at one point, when I asked for the placement to be slightly higher, he said, "you don't even know what you want," before roughly redrawing it. That comment, combined with his demeanor, made the entire experience uncomfortable and honestly pretty anxiety-inducing. Throughout the appointment, it felt like my questions were either dismissed or answered very curtly. At times, it even seemed like he wasn't listening, and I had to repeat myself without getting a clear response. The overall environment became so uncomfortable that I actually felt nauseous and had to take a moment to collect myself. I understand that adjustments can take time, but part of the job is working with clients to make sure they're happy and comfortable--especially with something permanent. Instead, I felt rushed, unwelcome, and like I was being a burden for simply wanting the placement to be right. Additionally, it didn't seem the area was cleaned prior to the piercing, which concerned me, as I've always understood that to be a standard hygiene step. A saline solution was applied afterward, but the lack of prep added to my discomfort. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. If patience, clear communication, and basic courtesy aren't part of the experience, it makes what should be an exciting moment feel stressful and disappointing. read more

I can't say enough good things about Legacy Ink and Silver, in particular. I really wanted a very specific style of tattoo - a realistic floral portrait. Silver worked with me on flowers that I like, colors, etc and designed the piece. We booked three sessions for inking and she finished it over the course of those sessions. It's absolutely gorgeous. Anywhere I go with the tattoo showing, I get compliments. I get "I'm not a tattoo lover, but..." comments regularly, as well as "can you tell me who did your tattoo?" I've been wanting to get my eyebrow pierced for a long while. After some research, I decided on Legacy Ink. I wasn't disappointed. The space is clean and professional-looking. I got in and out in maybe fifteen minutes. Their starting price for this sort of work is significantly cheaper than that of most competitors while still being high quality. I have had my piercing for about four weeks and have not had any issues with swelling or rejection. The piercer is obviously very knowledgeable on her work. I was able to easily get in touch with her and discuss options for my piercing over text, which helped make the whole process a lot simpler. When my piercing was done, she gave me clear instructions on how to take care of it that, no doubt, contributed to it healing perfectly. She even offered to continue to stay in touch in case of issues. I can't speak for their tattoos, but I am extremely satisfied with my business here. read more

I wasn't going to give this situation any attention but since you have made threats and posted lies thinking they'll go unchallenged I'll make this one response.  Negative Yelp reviews will happen. That is why the platform exists. A reasonable and intelligent business owner would recieve criticism and address the complaints and actually try and correct them. My review was honest and factual and I stand by it.  Waging a personal attack and calling on your "community" to attempt to bully a reviewer may intimidate some to remove their reviews (which has happened). I would caution those people who do participate to not enable and embolden that tactic as it will likely turn to them should their relationship sour, as we've already seen happen.  Sean, you state in your Meet the business owner bio that Legacy is a "professional, drug free environment" meanwhile your employees blatantly and proudly post how they "Pre game before a 12 hour day" with a blunt in hand. (Yes, I have screenshots). All the claims in my review are factual including the claims that involve minors. If you would like to pursue any of my claims in a legal dispute I am absolutely prepared to defend them with evidence.  As for your claim that you've been "advised by your attorney" to update me publicly via yelp, I'm going to go out on a limb and call your bluff on that one. That's not how legal proceedings work.  Your claim that I had "private" sessions at an artist's house or had any personal relationships with any of Legacy's artists before coming to your shop are complete lies. I was invited to go to an artist's house after becoming a customer which I absolutely declined because it made me uncomfortable. Again I am prepared to back this all up with proof. You too, are free to provide any proof you have to the contrary of anything I've stated as well. I'd love to see it. You also mention having messages and "pics". Please be more clear. Are you referring to the pictures of my arm and leg to clarify tattoo placement? You seem to be implying something inappropriate which would not be possible. Your claim that you have "multiple videos" of me in the shop under the influence is also a lie. Are you basing this on an observation of my nervous laughter, of me using my personal vape pen?  I will point out though, that if anyone ever did walk into a tattoo shop under the influence, which I am sure happens, that they are NOT an employee.  Often when I have regular visits for service with the same provider (salon stylist, nail tech, or tattoo artist) I will bring them something from Starbucks as a courtesy.  I assume that is what you're referring to when you stared that I brought my artist (Pogi) "gifts".  I did however decline a gift of a Michael Kors backpack as it felt inappropriate and he acknowledged that it would make my boyfriend "mad".  As to me coming to "hang out", I only went to the shop on occasion for appointments  and shadowing opportunities as I had the intention of pursuing an apprenticeship after showing an artist my work. Although I had a very brief interest in an apprenticeship there, it quickly became apparent I would not be comfortable in that environment.  Yes, I was a recurring customer but as the red flags and uncomfortable situations continued to mount, I did decide to stop going to Legacy and left my honest review. I also want to point out that making up false claims like you have actually IS defamation.  In the hope to educate you as a business owner, and set the minds of other reviewers who have been similarly targeted by intimidation tactics, there is a little thing called the Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) which "protects people's ability to share their honest opinions about a business's products, services, or conduct, in any forum, including social media".  You may want to double check and make sure you're in compliance, Sean. I'll await correspondence from your "attorney". Until then feel free to continue to illustrate your character by attempting to discredit a non-returning customer. I have been to Legacy Ink a few times to get various piercings and Taylor is always the best at what she does. In my experience, it is very difficult to find a good piercer who is professional while also being friendly and Taylor is great in both regards. She is always so nice and communicates everything during the process. All of the tools and surface areas are also always very clean and sanitized which makes the healing process so much easier. 10/10 recommend going to Taylor for any piercings!! read more

The piercer Tay is nice but her piercing skills could use more work. My lobe was pierced and was throbbing after for weeks. Realized the backing is on way too tight and causing less blood flow in the ear and it was impossible to take off. She pierced the ear extremely slow so my lobe piercing hurt extremely bad compared to other lobe piercings i've gotten at other places. read more

I had gone to another tattoo shop for a Friday the 13th deal, and ended up waiting 5 hours just to be turned away. I found this shop on another tattoo's page, and fell in love with Trev's flash page. I messaged him, and asked if he'd still be willing to do it and he was super down. The whole process was easy, and even though I got it done after Friday the 13th he still offered me the same special deal! What made this really memorable is the fact he asked if he could add color to the piece, which I agreed to and still stuck to the same price. My tattoo is still super cute and the colors are vibrant.
