I hired Legacy Lawn Service in Williamstown a few weeks ago to do a big job. My daughter was getting married in our yard that weekend. Our regular lawn service had a family emergency and wasnt able to come before the wedding. My sister Sherry said that she used Legacy Lawn Service in the past . I called explain the situation explain what I needed done and they agreed to come out they came out that same day. All the material was already there I showed them where things went explain in detail how we wanted it all done for the wedding. We then agreed on a price . I asked over and over again just before I left them to it if they understood . They both respond. Yes please if you have any questions or don't remember please come ask me this is crucial we get it right . I was assured they understood completely they repeated it to me everything was fine I had a million things to do so I then left them to do the work. About an hour and a half later I came home they were not there and barely anything was done. My sister was sitting on the back deck and I asked her where the landscapers went. She said they went to Peach country to get material . I said what the hell for everything's is here in the place where they need to just put it . I called then on the phone I asked whats going on and they said they were on lunch and we'll be back in a half hour. They came back about an hour and a half later that was about 2:15 in the afternoon. At 4:45 they said they needed to leave to go pick up their child to take care and would resume work in the morning around 9:00 a.m. . I said are you sure you can handle this job because it's crucial that I get this done tomorrow I cannot ruin my daughter's wedding. I need you to be 100% positive that you can get this job done please. They assured me they promised me it would be done by 3pm latest. The next morning Friday it's 9:00 a.m. they're not there 11:00 they're not there yet I called twice I keep getting the voicemail leaving a voicemail I'm now stressing to the max at this point and figuring I have to go out there and do it myself I have 50,000 things I had to get done . I then set up a few family members and said I needed to help to plant the flowers out front mulch the flower bed out front pick the weeds out of the ones on the side and put fresh mulch down cut the far back grass because it's about 2 inches taller than the rest of the grass I had to spread out the gravel in the driveway near the barn for the parking area that was so much to do at 12:15 they finally show up they give me this pity party story while they weren't here and this and that and I just needed this work done and didn't care they assure me they be done by 3 o'clock sure you all can imagine what happened it was not done at 3:00 rehearsal dinner was at 5:00 and the flowers out front we're not planted the gravel was not spread and some of the flowers were dying because they were taken out of the pots put in place to be planted and some of them drooped over because they were not planted so they were dying didn't know what to do I was in tears my stress level so high I was ruining my daughter's wedding and I didn't was at a loss once again they had to leave in about 3:45 there was no time left I ran around like a crazy I'm going to take along with my sister my two nieces my brother and a friend of the family and got it to look decent for the miracle wedding was at 1:00 in the afternoon the following day and I don't know how but by the grace of God we got it done thank you to my family coming together I'm getting things done when needed I greatly appreciate every one of them to help me as far as this Landscape Company they left me high dry and still expected to get paid the full amount we initially agreed on . Well I explained that I was under no circumstances doing that . Even though they did leave me high and dry didn't complete half of the work they completed about 30% of what they had to get done . I did compensate them for 30% of the work they did . They were not happy and neither was I they then proceeded to yeah and threatened me that they were going to rip up the flowers they planted the stuff that they put down in the back around the trees they're going to destroy everything very much I couldn't take that chance so I asked him what they thought they should have it received and it was about $300 more than what I gave them my sister said just give it to them she she was scared they were going to do something they left we had a wonderful rehearsal dinner everything went great when chipped in and did the rest of the work the wedding was amazing and we my family and I did they phenomenal job on the landscaping as well I'm so glad that family like I do. -5 Stars. ATTENTION WILLIAMSTOWN RESIDENTS SCAMMER ALERT!! This Lawn Service company is Dishonest, unreliable, and the list goes on. That is my opinion let me tell my experience . I was referred to them by a friend of a friend . I called on a Tuesday mid-morning spoke with a young man and set up a appt for a estimate for Lawn service @ 9:00 a.m. the next morning. 9:00 a.m. the next morning comes around and no call no show about early afternoon the same day from a young man named Wes. Stating that he apologized he had some trouble with his equipment had to get serviced and he could come the following morning(Thursday) at 10:00 a.m.. okay I get it understandable. I explain to him I was in dire I need to get my grass cut before I was fine by the township so if the price was okay could he possibly do it right away . He said absolutely will bring the equipment and if you're okay with the price which I'm sure you will be will get it done right then and there . Ok Perfect. The follow the morning a silver car pulls into my driveway @ 11:15am and a man and a woman wearing bright yellow shirts come knock on the door . I didn't answer I didn't know who it was. I usually don't answer the door people I don't know I'm a senior citizen and live alone . The main proceeds to knock on the door yelling Legacy Lawn Service . I then open the door and I said hello I was expecting you an hour and 15 minutes ago I'm sorry I didn't know it was you . He said I apologize. The young woman with him said Hi i am Megan so sorry we are late it is my fault he had to drive to Millville to get me my car broke down . Okay that's fine let me sit down in my living room and he said we have a few deals going on right now if you're interested I said sure I'll hear them. He said the most popular one is a lot of our customers are paying for the season up front and getting a 30% discount. I said how much does that cost? He looks out the window and he says it's about a half acre . It's $40 a cut that includes weed whacking and edging. The young woman says that prices for weekly cuts only. I asked what would that come to total? She used to calculator on her phone and said so from now to the end of the season it's about 15 cuts weather permitting . That comes to $600 minus the 30% discount comes to $420 . I asked what if it rains and you don't cut she said we give you either a credit for next season or we will do a one-time leaf removal in exchange for the cuts that we missed . The young man says just a reminder we only accept cash due to some technical issues that we are having with a credit card machine . I thought about it for a little while as we were chatting about what I thought was getting to know each other a little bit. A few moments later I decided that I was going to except the special offer they had . They we're a very nice young couple just trying to make a living is what I thought at the time. I said I have to go to the bank I don't carry that kind of money on me but it's right around the corner and it'll only take me about 15 minutes. He said just one more thing I just need you to sign this contract stating what we just went over. I said okay I glanced over it she did write down the prices and I sign in women's hunting and I said okay I'm going to go to the bank and the young man said okay I have to go get gas for the equipment and I'll meet you back here in about 20 minutes . I came back from the bank they were sitting in their car out front. I I handed him the money envelope and I said you are going to be able to cut the grass today correct . He said absolutely I'm going to go grab the equipment right now will be back in within the hour . I said perfect and they left. Well it turns out they nice young couple I thought they were turned into Bonnie and Clyde. They really had me fooled. The following night my shed was broken into my late husbands tools and chainsaws and a few other things we're stolen. In the morning my neighbor knocked on the door to tell me that my shed door was open we went out to look I make sure that's secured to new Critters get in and when we went out to look there was many things missing off the walls. And his tool boxes were missing. I lived here 47 years and nothing has ever been stolen from my property . In conclusion that is the experience I had with this company so please beware of these two Bonnie and Clyde's(Wes & Megan). UPDATE!!!!! THIS COMPANY HAS THE SAME NAME AS ANOTHER LAWN SERVICE COMPANY.
