This will be my 3rd month training at John's Gym and I still look forward to every class.

His approach was to build up our strength and movements gradually to make sure our bodies could adjust. He was very cautious about not causing injury and took the time to explain the background and science behind muscle movements, strength training, importance of stretching and other components. Our workout schedule was 3 times a week and we both noticed marked improvements in our strength and muscle tone. We initially started with light weights, but improved to the point where we were using 20/25lbs weights with no problem on certain exercises. In addition to the improvements and progression we noticed in our training, we absolutely loved working with Luke. He is very genuine and truly cares about helping his clients. He was a bright spot in our lives three times a week.

No one near me has the foresight to offer a 3 year old class and that is their loss because Storm is ready and willing to help me. The owner is interested, invested and attentive to the training. Everybody is not of the right mindset to work with the tiniest of kids but somehow the owner was able to find a team that shares his vision to help families that are interested in learning. We came a little after lunchtime, and while it was busy at the pool, it wasn't TOO bad as it probably is on a weekend. We set up base at a spot near a tree to collect a little shade and lathered up in sunscreen. The pool has strict rules of no food and drinks other than water, but it keeps the place clean and risk free, which is actually appreciated by me. The pool stays between 68°-70°, which is a temperature not too cold on impact, but still super relaxing to hang in. The pool is massive with plenty of people hanging around in all corners. It's a great spot in summer but definitely not a hidden gem. It's an extremely well-known gem. I'm curious how populous it is during peak times, but that random Wednesday afternoon was perfect. While there is a parking lot in front of Barton Springs, it still belongs to the city of Austin and shares space with Zilker Park patrons. A few guidelines: -No food, alcohol or glass allowed -No animals allowed -Floats, waters and foldable chairs allowed When you're setting up for the day, the further you are from the water, the flatter the land. The closer you are, the steeper it gets. As much as I'd love to trust in the people of Austin, petty theft can still happen, so keep an eye on your belongings. As mentioned, some may enjoy the water, some may not. For me, no matter how many times I tried to get in, I couldn't last more than two minutes due to how cold and deep it was! There are supposedly some shallow areas, but I couldn't find them, and now, I'll never know...

I want to thank the lifeguard staff for being very understanding and patient with my 6year old non verbal autistic son. They were accommodating when i explained he has trouble understanding commands while upholding safety rules. They let him idle in areas that weren't in use. When explained his behaviors they didn't make us feel unwelcome. Just for how the staff treated us, I would deff come back!! For $20 bucks I think this is a great place! My family who lives here said they've never seen it not busy BUT it was great for us. Two big water slides that are pretty darn fast. One person only at a time, you can't have a life vest one. One slide you need a tube. The lazy river was pretty nice and calm. They have an outdoor sand volleyball court (looks like 12u height). Had a little ceasar's pizza and nachos's (didn't care for the sauce). Nice big water pool and a shallower area for the kids. Although I imagine it gets crazy busy during the summer, i glad we came here when we did . Thank you!

It's a basic waterpark. - 2 big slides. One of which being a tube slide. - an area for little kids and toddlers. - lazy river. - swing thing. - cabanas and reserved tables. - snack stand - general store - bathrooms. There really isn't an area where you go and get tubes from a pile. You just kinda have to scope out the lazy river and find a tube that's abandoned. The big slides are CRAZY fast! I am telling you to watch out for the tube slide that's multicolored! The speed I was going was nuts, combined with the fact it had me going backwards unintentionally was kinda scary. I got a bruise trying to position myself so I could drop out into the pool without seriously flipping over or injuring myself. The bruise is still visible 2 days later. I didn't wanna ride that slide anymore. Didn't trust it. All in all, it's a nice little park where you can beat the heat. If you don't mind crowds or tons of people in a lazy river. It's not horrible but it's not awe inspiring either lol.

We ran into some issues (there were issues before, but they had escalated due to lack of enough supervision) and I kept calling to check on the status on the waiting list. Thank the good Lord that we were able to start taking our son here. I love the photos I get throughout the day assuring me he is cared for well. He is still adjusting as he is crying during drop off AND pick up :). But once you enter the place you can see that it is clean and inviting. Ms. Jenna and the director Ms. Andrea have been phenomenal with answering questions and they are both just so sweet. You can tell they love what they do (the day of the tour they both were decked out for St. Patty's lol) The facility itself is very roomy with big classrooms. I like also the little porch area they have for the kids to still be able to play outside or get fresh air even if it were to rain a bit or be too hot to go all the way out without the cover of a roof. It's a gated porch and each classroom has their own so the kids are secured. My son is learning many things here already and I can't wait until he starts being able to vocalize more his new knowledge.
