Everyone seemed focused on improving while still keeping the environment friendly and supportive for all skill levels. The location is great for anyone in East Pflugerville. Parking was easy and not overcrowded, and although the academy is tucked behind a few storefronts, it's still very accessible once you know where it is. Next month will be a year since our daughter started and Professor Andre, Coach Eric, Coach Brayden, and Coach Stormy have been a huge influence on her and we credit them with helping her gain incredible confidence. BJJ has helped her grow so much on and off the mat in just one year. Professor Andre and the staff have such a way with the kids. Teaching them valuable qualities such as respect, hard work, discipline and leadership all while learning valuable self defense skills and the kids have fun every class! But don't be intimidated by that. There is no pressure to fight, and like I said the vast majority of peeps are there to learn technique and get into shape. Since the time he started at RRBJJ, the brotherhood has grown exponentially between the coaches and the team. There is a camaraderie within this team that is hard to describe. You don't have to have been on Team Rabadi for years to feel like you are actually part of that team. I've seen coaches and seasoned BJJ competitors welcome new students to the school without hesitation and offer additional time to those 'newbies' who are interested and wanting to learn. There is no intimidation upon entering through the school doors, just a sense that you're about to get one hell of a workout and meet some new friends. How can you not make friends when the positions you put yourself in (or are put in by others) can be fairly awkward!? I do love this school and the team it has built. No, I don't train there, but I do feel like a part of the family.
