Mike came by to provide a quote. He was late but did message me ahead of time. He seemed to be well connected, credible, and knows the business well. A simple request of what appeared to be a professional company, to paint a portion of my cabin in Chiloquin, as I couldnt do it myself due to health issues. The bid was given and the work agreed to, with timing of the job to be completed prior to my knee replacement surgery the following week. The rest was a nightmare. What should have been an organized, professional paint, taking three days, ended up taking almost three weeks, with an unprofessional finish that did not match the original cabin stain. The "crew" showed up originally without sanders, caulk, or scrapers and did a terrible job of "prep", which I called them on, as I was onsite. Over the period of the next few weeks I had to personally manage their crew remotely, while dealing with post-surgery issues, with directions of how to actually do the work. They had zero supervision from their company. At no point did Mike come back to the cabin to actually check on the crews work, yet was adament it was done correctly. My husband drove down from Bend and took 40+ pics of the "finished" job as I was unable to travel after surgery. To make matters even worse, the daily, repeated, requests for final payment started that day, long before the job was inspected or finished. At that point I finally got Mike to travel to the cabin and see for himself what it looked like. He called me and told me he had fired his crew for their terrible work, and would send another to finish the job correctly. They did then, at the very least, applied the stain properly. I am left with a cabin that has two distinct colors and finishes (after multiple discussions regarding stain match) with wierd stop and start lines that don't meld, and shoddy prep work. Nothing about it is professional! A job I paid dearly for that wont last 2 years. I had to continually hear how they were not making any money on it as they had to travel everyday. They replaced and painted door trim , and baseboards throughout the house. Painted living, dining room and hallway. They also widen and framed a walk through as well has installed a 36" door and window to the master. Very polite, respectful and worked on my job until it was done. I greatly appreciated that my job was their focus until it was completed. No going back and forth to other jobs. read more

I have worked with several contractors over the years, and Mike takes pride in the job he and his crew do! he cares about his employees and this reflects in how hard they work for him and his clients. he cares about his clients too! He follows his job from start to finish. For me he made suggestions to make my space even nicer, and did it for a reasonable cost. He also followed through with small touch ups needed after the job was done, and in my mind makes him even more amazing! I highly recommend them for any job they can do that you may need! Do not hire this company. The owner Damon "Mike" Jones lies, cheats the customer and will steal from you when he has an opportunity. I had bid and contracted Legacy Painting and Contracting for a bathroom remodel, replacement of kitchen flooring and a "stick on" backsplash behind my stove. Mr Jones began pushing me and pushing me to schedule my work to begin before all of the materials were at my home. He bullied me into scheduling my remodel. So the nightmare began. Mr. Jones had me order materials as per his measurements. Materials were ordered and took weeks to be delivered to my home. Mr. Jones measure incorrectly making us short on materials, and important components of my bathroom remodel had not been delivered (the shower, bathroom light fixture) yet, thus he forced me to order a different shower that I did not want and a light fixture I did not want so he could get my work done ASAP so his bidded time and money would be accommodated. He then had to go to Salem and Eugene to put together a completed shower kit. The light fixture I had to pick was not the correct metal color so I ended up having to spray paint it to ​match the metal choice I had made. Please note: the shower wasnt even installed properly. One of the walls was not secured and would move in and out when pushed. Meantime we are waiting for the materials he originally measured incorrectly to arrive as well. Please note, part of the materials we were short on was the bathroom flooring which puts a stop to the remodel until it is installed. Needless to say Legacy Painting and Contracting was at my home far past the bidded time allotment = bidded $ amount. Mr. Jones complained non stop about how he should be finished and how long the job was taking and how I need to pay for him for having to travel to Salem and Eugene for a shower I didn't want!!! Meantime, the remodel is hardly moving toward completion. Mr. Jones hardly touched any tools and hovered over his assistant while his assistant worked. The last day Mr Jones was at my house, he half hazardley finished the kitchen floor trim leaving me to finish painting and securing the trim. Mr. Jones never put a second coat of paint in the bathroom telling me he left the paint for me to do it. My toilet was not sealed to the floor correctly. It was crooked, lopsided and halfway off of the sealing caulking. He left the long screws coming up from the floor just sticking up with some kind of brown gunk that will not wash off all over them. My shower door was not hung correctly so I am left with a gap that water gets through and leaves puddles on my new bathroom flooring. Horrible install of bathroom flooring with a small piece at the doorway that has lifted and is coming up. Horrible unmatched trim at the floor and around the shower, caulking that was never done and Legacy Painting and Contracting scratched my new (unwanted) shower doors!!! Now let's move to the kitchen..... Mr. Jones chipped the edges of multiple boards of my expensive vinyl plank flooring, used nails to pin down some boards *thus voiding my flooring warrany* and installed mismatched in size and painted vs. non-painted trim. I again was told I had the paint to finish it myself. The old caulking where the kitchen wall meets the countertop was never removed prior to the backsplash was installed and was not sealed with new caulking after. Every electrical switch opening on the backsplash were cut crooked and the holes that were drilled in the new backsplash for the cover plates were off almost a half inch making re-installing the cover plates a joke. A huge NO -NO I had to continually keep a vigilant eye on was when Legacy Painting and Contracting removed any trim, they left it lying around everywhere with the nails sticking up and out creating a huge danger trap for my pets. After Mr. Jones and his assistant left my home I began to notice the unacceptable items I have mentioned above. I called Mr. Jones at which point he began yelling at me saying I should be grateful for what they did and how much money he lost on my remodel. Now, I am an oldish, single, disabled woman and I have been left with a pathetic excuse of contracted paid for in cash work​​. If I could or wanted to do the work myself I would have never hired Mr. aka "you should be grateful" Jones who even used my disability to verbally abuse and berate me. I'm sure I will find more shameful pathetic work Mr. Jones left me with but this has been my experience so far. My advice BEWARE!!! DO NOT HIRE!!! ​ read more

We were putting our house up for sale and had a list of projects we needed to complete to make it sale ready. Some of the other companies we contacted didn't have time for "small projects" - but Mike and his team were great. They came out promptly to do the estimate and started quickly as soon as we gave them the green light. They knocked out our list in a week's time including pressure washing and scraping of any peeling paint on the house and the fence, they did patching and repainting of the bathroom ceiling, and drywall and siding repair.
