My file was assigned to a lawyer who had no litigation experience which was very concerning given the nature of my case ,after the retainer was depleted I was asked to pay an additional $1200. When I declined, the only was the amount refunded was the additional charge.i also found their billing practices questionable I was charged for two separate phone calls in one day both relating to returning their call .Overall I found the service unprofessional and not reflective of the level of representation I expected .

The documents were hand delivered on February 22nd between 2:30 pm and 3:00. The telephone call to reception was between 2:15 and 2:30 pm. My lawyer sent the inquiry on Monday March 7, 2022 at 2:58 pm. The response from Amanda was today March 8 at 4:22 pm that arrangements are in process to courier the paperwork to your client. No date was provided as to when the signed documents would be sent. How does this show that you are operating in good faith. This is very unprofessional. There was no apology from Amanda for the delay. This type of behaviour has big impacts to me.

In fact Chris Goddard, who retained me for over a year and said having a pre-existing condition could be beneficial then emailed me a year later that he could no longer represent me. I spoke to him the day before he emailed me breaking our retainer. He could not tell me over the phone. So I emailed the founder of the firm Murray Miskin and he is the most unprofessional unpersonable person I have heard from. He emailed me and said "do what you have to but take me off your email", a real jerk. I am going to the Law Society and Human Rights Tribunal. Chris Goddard acted very cowardly and you would not want him defending you. MY incidents were very simple so he used the "disability discrimination" excuse without even knowing it. It is the same as saying I don't know how to defend someone with a pre-existing condition. But the best is he did not even read my surgeons letter before he let me go. Do not go to this firm.
