Extremely happy that I chose Carlos and his crew to reupholster my dining room chairs (which were my in-laws so were very special to me.) Carlos had beautiful fabrics to choose from and his prices were very fair, especially since my chairs needed a lot of TLC since the padding and wood on a few of the chairs were shot. Legend upholstery has not returned my recliner after changing the cloth as of writing this comment Dec. 27th, 2022. Once again he promised to delivery by the end of 1st week of January 9 months already passed. I just feel sorry for him in filing a court complaint and have patiently waited for his (carlos-owners) promise. Waiting as he delivered one set of couches in 10 week but this one 9 months and no site. Eventually, I may have to take some legal action. My wife needed a recliner due to her medically recommended needs and I ended up buying a full new set for her. Our recommendation to others be wise and careful in paying this co. who has fled from Hackettstown to no one knows where. He does not tell where on phone calls except promise two weeks, which two weeks ??? Feel sorry for him and us as well that we asked his help. read more

STAY AWAY! In February 2023 we contacted Legend Upholstery to recover 8 patio chairs. Carlos the owner came out. We agreed on a price. He said it would take 3-4 weeks. I followed up no less than 10 times. We finally got our chairs back the end of May (almost 4 months later). When we received the furniture back, there was paint that had alreadry chipped off, parts of the chairs missing, and the fabric was loose. He said he would come back with the touch up paint and the parts left off the chairs. I followed up 1x/week and every time I called him he did answer the phone but always an excuse. Took 3 months for him to come back to the house and look at the problem. He said he would order the parts and fix the chair that ripped the first time someone sat on it, fix chipped paint and repair the chairs with sagging fabric that had never been used. I followed up and he advised me he would be back to repair the chairs once the parts were in. That was weeks ago. We still have not heard from him despite follow up calls. Don't use this company. I hired Legendry upholstry ( Carlos) for two sets of couches and recliner. He agreed for a price and changed the fabric on one set while holding the other since March 2022. He used cheaper padding than promised. He was paid 86% money and not delivering the rest of the couches. He has been promising next week, next week but looks like I have to file a court case for his deception and fraud. Today is almost end of July 2022 and he does not respond to the calls anymore. I would suggest all new clients to use him only when no payment is done till final delivery. read more

They did an amazing job refurbishing an ottoman for us. Great workmanship and reasonable prices. You might be put off by their hole in the wall storefront but they are skilled at what they do. My wife and I consider them to be a real find. They saved us hundreds of dollars by restoring a favorite piece versus buying new ( if we could find one we liked as much). read more
