I brought a padded canvas bag for one of my congas that was pulling apart near the handle to their shop. Although Jason said he had never done a conga bag before, he carefully assessed the condition and what it would take to make the repair. The price was very reasonable so I left it with him at their shop on a Friday afternoon. Monday morning I received a call saying it was done. The workmanship was absolutely flawless and undetectable even if you knew where it had been repaired. I observed a number of different pieces of furniture in the shop that had been completed and they all looked excellent. WARNING!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. HE IS A THIEF! Steven takes deposits knowing he can't deliver what you order and then keeps part of your deposit. He even tried to take my sofa when he kenw there was a problem with the fabric. Steven offered a free shop at home service, told me the fabric I chose was available, and took a large deposit from me and said he would call me in a week to pick up my sofa. When he called he said the fabric was on backorder and would be in in another week. A week later he called and made arrangements to pick up my sofa and then told me the fabric came in in 8 different pieces and it was damaged so he couldn't use it. Red flag! I questioned why he was picking up the sofa if he couldn't use the fabric he complained about the fabric industry, how manufacturers aren't stocking as much, etc and said the fabric was discontinued. Now he has almost $1,000 of my money. I told him I was uncomfortable and asked him to return my deposit. He became agitated and hung up on me. I sent him an email with no response. I called him and he said he was waiting for a credit from the manufacturer and would have it within a day or two. A week went by and my fiance finally called him to find out where my money was. He lied, said he never told me the fabric was damaged or discontinued and contradicted himself on many points, and said he was keeping $150 of my deposit for "restocking" fees and he refused to show us the manufacturers paperwork. He knew I was looking for my full deposit and he never said he was withholding anything. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!! He is not reputable and he will rip you off too! SHAME ON YOU! read more
