Great family owned business! Enjoyed our event here greatly. The staff were super nice.

We had a debut here and with the help of Teresa and her family we were able to have a wonderful party within 2.5 weeks. They happen to have a opening so we were lucky and they were willing to accommodate us. The location is on the east side of Chula Vista mall second floor and there is plenty of parking and elevator/escalator access. The booking was straight forward. We loved the elegant decorations and lighting. The food was delicious. We loved the mixed table and beautiful personalized dessert table. We loved that they took care of everything down to the small details and we were able to enjoy the party. How sad it is to see how a little gang get together to have a little "let's post a ton of bad reviews" revenge party over perceived slights that were more than likely the result of their own poor behavior. Our experience, and the experience of many others that can be found on other sites was the complete opposite. What if you had to arrange for a nice wedding reception... and then quickly discover that you really didn't know where to start. Yeah... that was us; we thought it would be hard but nothing we couldn't overcome. We'd rent a hall, get it catered, find some music, get some booze, find a photographer, decorate the hall, send out invitations... Easy peazy. Anybody can do it, right? Wrong!!! Some background: My wife and I had been married by a magistrate but we now wanted to get married in the Church. My wife and I both work beyond full time. We simply didn't have the time to dedicate to what turned out to be for us the impossible logistics of getting ready for a nice wedding reception. Then we got lucky. My wife was shopping for a wedding dress and went into Divas, a shop specializing in wedding, quincenera and prom style dresses in the Chula Vista Mall. Turns out that the family who owns that shop runs a salon/event center (Legendary Hall) upstairs in the same center. They took the time to show my wife the hall and give her a general idea of what they offer (literally everything but the invitations, the booze and the event insurance). I got home from work and my wife enthusiastically told me she found the spot and told me what they could do. And I promptly thought "Nah, this is too good to be true" but I had the good sense to agree to go take a look and meet with Elvia, the family matriarch, the owner, and one of the nicest women you'll ever meet in your whole life. Her daughter Jessica joined us and they explained in detail everything that they offered and answered all our questions to our complete satisfaction. And this wasn't the only time they answered our questions; they were wonderful throughout the entire process. So what did we end up with? We ended up with the most beautiful wedding reception my wife and I had been to in decades. To be honest, we're what can be described as "ancianos," we've been around the block a few times. We've been to alot of weddings, indoor, outdoor, beach, Catholic, Christian and Jewish. Ours was right up there with the best. The hall decor was beautiful in every respect. The table settings were incredible (and we got to select them from 4 different options that we got to review before the wedding day). The botana/apertif tables were magnificent with an incredible choice of items to satisfy every taste. We had Mariachis who played for 2 hours before dinner was served and they were outstanding. Jessica was our bartender and she was superb. The servers and the DJ, who were also members of the family, were awesome; very attentive and made sure everyone was well taken care of. We got nothing but positive comments from everyone who attended. My wife and I are both extremely pleased with the results. Personally, I didn't expect it to turn out as nice as it did. This was because I had been in the hall a couple of times before it was ready delivering booze and I had seen it before they were done decorating. I knew they had a huge undertaking to get everything done in time and the end result far exceeded my expectations. When I think of the time and the effort that the family put in to get everything ready on time... I'm just truly impressed and super grateful. When you think of every tiny thing that goes into preparing for a wedding or an event, finding a hall, decorating the hall (not just decorating, beautifully decorating, going the extra mile decorating), finding a good food source, awesome botanas/apertifs, the wedding cake, photographers who are with you all day, music, quality servers/wait staff, security, and having it all done for you... the quality of the work that Elvia, Jessica, Terry, Dulce, Lucy and the rest of the family deliver is well worth every penny we spent. If you're having a wedding reception, a quincenera, or a social event of any type, I strongly recommend that you take a look at what Elvia and the family at Legendary Hall have to offer. Save your money and book your event somewhere else! It is overpriced for a small venue. The woman hosting was boring, there was only one bartender available so it took forever to get a drink, food was not good and the DJ sucked!!! Also, there is no bathroom, you'll have to walk to the bathroom located in the mall! read more

Negative 0 let's just say this guy is the photographer and he comes in the pack for this business quinceanera and you pay over 100 dollars and the quality of the photos are so bad my quince dress is not that color and mad the lighting so bright and when me and my mom went to talk about the photos to the lady I forgot her name but she got mad when my mother said that the photographer did a bad job on my photos she replied to us saying in her loud voice and in Spanish (hearing this from you is an insult and I feel threatened and your judging my business) my mother couldn't tell her a single word until like the end and then the lady calmed down !!!!PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!my mother had to pay alot a money to get these quality photos and them calling it professional photos I don't think so and them also telling my my mom to pay more if she wants better quality like wtf 14,000 dollars for the pack and later telling my mom to pay more for better quality that's stupid my mom and brother toke better photos then this old dude that was their read more

Excellent customer service!!!!! They really care about us and made everything soo easy for us. They exceed our expectations!!!! I went to my cousins 15 year old last weekend and Their service sucked you had to argue over plates and when food came out it was like 45 mins after the salad. the music they played wasn't the request of the quince girl they had no respect they gave attitude. read more

The hall itself might look nice but their service is ridiculous they will say they will do everything to coordinate your event to your liking and they end up doing as they please they refused to play my daughters Playlist because their Playlist sounded better & would get people to dance, when it came to food they played 200 silver plates and when it came to serving there was full tables without plates of food my invited people had to be arguing back and forth for food and kept getting attitude over everything they would ask for it's a family run down business qhich is fine but they all will flip on you so that the benefit ends up on their end she under priced me at 9500 thinking I wouldn't go through with it but of course she had to make her money back and wanted to charge me ridiculous money for everything let alone charging me 900 for a short 5 ft robot she considers entertainment they ruined so many things at my event I hope you don't make the same mistake booking with them and that they try to sweet talk their way into.convincing you. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! this hall was VERY unprofessional & unorganized they wouldn't take charge of anything they had to do you had to be running around doing everything telling them what had to be done couldn't even enjoy the party they wouldn't even play the type of music we wanted after insisting several times they played the music about 30 mins before the party was going to end & there were 2 people that kept switching back & forth as "dj" they had no idea how to manage any situation at all they were extremely rude as fuck & are just interested in money they could care less about you & your party nor did they have a real security at the door that knows how to do their job right they also complained about their employees not eating because they gave the extra trays of food out to our extra guests to top it off you have no privacy of your party they're watching you throughout the whole party through they're cameras!! read more
