I have NEVER posted a negative review about any company, but I feel compelled to in this case. Hopefully, this will prevent someone hiring them and having them ruin a special day. My son hired them to DJ at their wedding at our home in July. It was a complete disaster! Granted it was 100 degrees, but don't agree to work a wedding in Ramona in July if you or your equipment can't handle the heat! The microphones were a problem, but that was minor compared to what else happened. They hardly made any announcements, except to encourage people to PUSH THE BRIDE IN OUR SWIMMING POOL! My son got thrown in by his groomsmen, so he was announcing turn around was fair play. I was screaming NO, but he kept on! I had to stand up and yell, "She's pregnant"! to get him to stop. I complained afterwards and he did hear me out and said that we had the event in different areas of our home which made it difficult. He said he didn't get a timeline from the bride, but I told him he was the professional and should have insisted on getting that before the wedding. Both the bride and I sent him a list of songs, which he only played a few. I had to say something because we were getting close to the end of the reception, and they had not played ANY of songs on my list! They were not professional nor prepared! If the heat and different areas of our home were a problem, he shouldn't have taken the job. He didn't do or suggest a dance with the parents, which broke my heart. I didn't get a dance with my son. He admitted he "gave up" because everything wasn't in the same room and offered to send us a gift certificate to a nice restaurant. I said that would help and he asked me to get back to him on the restaurant. When I texted him back the name of the restaurant and that he should never suggest throwing a bride into a pool without permission, he said I was "harassing him" and I had to "get over it"! He had asked me to get back to him on the restaurant, so I had to text him back. He never sent us the gift certificate! Absolutely TERRIBLE! read more

STAY AWAY HORRIBLE SERVICE!! We used this company for their DJ services at our wedding at it was awful. The dj did not announce anything and left his company van parked in the middle of the venue the whole wedding. He told everyone to throw the bride in the pool with her dress and makeup on. They lied about offering refunds and discounts. They ruined our wedding and didn't help or care at all. Very poor service and equipment and the supposed "professional" dj said he was the company owner!! Never again. read more

Mario was the DJ at our wedding on 9/3/16, our wedding was perfect and couldn't have asked for anything more. Leading up to the wedding, Mario was very responsive and easy to get ahold of. A few days before the wedding we met and walked through the timeline and overall plan. He was very helpful and calm and made sure we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Day of, he arrived extremely early and with plenty of time to set up and get ready on his own time (which is pretty important). His set up was very clean and professional! His lighting was perfect and made some of our photos look beautiful! Both ceremony music and dancing music were on point! He managed to keep guests dancing at a very difficult party to DJ for...Brides side Mexican and grooms side white and country :) His announcements and MC work were great! I read through the reviews and thought he would be a great fit for our party so I decided to send an email inquiry about his services and Mario responded right away. Mario was extremely responsive, flexible, and met with us several times before the event. During those meetings he walked us through the process of what to expect and helped us plan the reception timeline. On the day of the wedding, Mario arrived with more than enough time to set up and even threw in complimentary lighting that gave out back yard wedding a cool and elegant vibe. He knew exactly what to play at the right time. At the end of the event, people approached us to let us know what great time they had and how much fun they had dancing and it's all thanks to Mario. This DJ is so amazing, I just had to write a review. We hired Mario for my 50th birthday party, which took place this past weekend. When we first called him, he came right over to see the house, recommend set up, and gave us a very fair price for lighting, music and DJing for 5 hours and 2 hours set up. He had asked me to give him a playlist, but I am not good with remembering artists. I know the songs, but not the names. I had no idea how to give him a playlist, so he said "I got you". It was AMAZING! All of the guest ranged in age from 80's to teens and he covered all the bases...Everyone was RAVING about his selections and saying "I want this playlist". From classic rock, to 80's boy band to Tejano it was all woven together in such a fun way,, everyone danced all night. Thanks Mario you made the night a very memorable one. read more

San Diego Jammin' City really did a great job for us! Not only did they play great music for us (which wasn't easy!), but they helped us plan out both the reception and the ceremony. They helped us plan parts of our wedding reception that we probably would have forgotten about. They did a great job keeping the dance floor full, but also ran the entire evening for us. We were actually able to enjoy our reception because Mario and Ceasar kept everything moving and had already helped us plan it out step by step! They were also able to handle last minute changes, by us and by our reception hall. Things that could have been major problems ended up barely being a speed bump because of San Diego Jammin' City. Caution, this company is not honest. They will take your money and not provide service. If you show any disappointment in the service they will not provide service and Keep your money. Mario was awesome!! From start to finish he really new what to say and how to make everything so easy. My wife and we're stressing about so many things and we met with Mario for the final details before the wedding and we felt like so much weight had been lifted off of our shoulders. Mario was fantastic at our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception). He was recommended by another vendor and was on-top of everything from day one. He was very professional and even called a few times just to make sure everything was correct and to give words of advice. Well where do I start, I like all the other yelp users was hesitant to hire Mario (DJ) due to his reviews. When my mom and I met Mario at a bridal show we were excited since he was one of the only Hispanics there which is why we were immediately drawn to him. We set up a meeting and discussed all out concerns and Mario assured as that we would not regret hiring him for our wedding on 10/18/14. The day of the wedding Mario showed up super early to set up, and was dressed to impressed. Throughout the night, the dance floor was packed and that's the vibe that my husband and I wanted for the night. We wanted everyone to have a great time and which they did due to Mario's skills and great song selections. I did instruct Mario not to play certain songs which he followed through with. Also, our first dance was half English and half Spanish and Mario executed this perfectly. The two songs just flowed. I submitted a list of songs that my guest had requested on our wedding site and Mario played a good majority of them but also mixed songs in that he thought would flow with the amazing energy we had. So I recently just had my sweet 16 on the January 16th and I have to say I was very impressed with Mario(DJ) he showed super early to set up and came dressed very professionally, I submitted a playlist and he was able to play a big majority of them along with throwing in a few of his own to mix it up which I have to say had everyone moving their feet till the party was over. Aside from the music Mario surprised me with very good lighting and a monogram that had my name reflecting from my pool and to top it off he came through with a beautiful white VIP sitting area for my friends and I. Our wedding reception was AMAZING and so much fun thanks to DJ MARIO. We had some crazy ideas of what we wanted and after a few conversations, we felt very confident that he would deliver. We provided a list of songs (english, spanish and portuguese) that we wanted to hear and gave him free reign for everything else. We found Mario at the San Diego Bridal Bazaar and DJ'd our 3.11.17 wedding. OH. MY. GOSH, let me tell you, only thing i cared about for my wedding was the music, i just wanted to dance all night, and i did. i have had so many guests tell me the DJ was EXCEPTIONAL! I wanted a mix of mexican and american music since there was going to be a mix of people there, and everyone had the time of their life. My husband said he had never seen his parents dance before until that night. Mario did a great job of MCing and overall directing series of events and staying on schedule. We met a few times beforehand to go over music, names of people, the schedule, requests. I handed him list of songs id like for him to play and he played almost every song. DO NOT HIRE!!! MY WEDDING WAS RUINED!!! I am not the person to go and complain on a website but that is how bad it was. We booked the dj and videographer after meeting them at the bridal bazaar mainly because they were the only Spanish/English dj there. I sent numerous email before the wedding and Mario could not be reached by phone or email. A week before the wedding I find out that his main job is construction and this is a side business which is probably why I could not reach him. He didnt bother contacting me until 5 minutes before I was to walk down the aisle and he said he needs me to have the music on my phone because he didn't have time to find the music. WTF!!! He then proceeds to play the songs in the wrong order even though I purchased the songs and put them in a playlist in the correct order and told him how they were to be played and in the end I didn't even walk down the aisle to my song because he decided to play a different one. I felt like I had to babysit him all night because he didn't read any of the emails I sent him or once try to contact me back. I wrote down the names of the bridal party to be announced as they entered and he announced them in a different order and then the song we walked in to when we were introduced he played from the beggining when I told him I wanted it to start from the middle because I wanted a specific part to play, also one of the reasons we hired him was because he spoke Spanish and my husbands side of the family only speaks Spanish and we asked him to announce in Spanish and English which he didn't do until finally half way through the night we had to remind him for the hundredth time he finally did. Once!!! We told him during the money dance to ask people to bring money to dance with us and instead of doing as we asked he announced no money was required but to come and dance for the experience!!! WTF why is it called a money dance then. Enough said he was horrible and he looked drunk the entire night. The video turned out very poor resolution with the events all backwards, it was edited in places that cut off what we said and instead of flowing from scene to scene it stopped and the screen turned black for a while before starting again. We sent specific songs to be included on the video and for some reason he took it upon himself to add more songs that were rediculous and we both hated without asking us first. It looked like a wedding video from the 70's and he only had one camera not the two we had discussed. We will have to have it redone by a professional in the business. Many more thing happened with both but it's just to much to go through it all. Super unhappy with both!!! read more
