Matty, the so called piercer, failed to tell me that a Marilyn dermal should not be done, only that it would be difficult to do.. I guess he saw dollar signs..because not only did it take him 1 hour to do this..he also charged me $100.00 for it..me not knowing what they normally would go for, I paid him+ tip. I'll admit, I was happy with it.. Sore.. But happy.. But then.. It all went wrong...I was at another establishment and asked if they could look at my piercing, and I was shocked, pissed, and annoyed that Matty" the master piercer" not only should not have pierced a dermal on my lip but charge me $90 over their standard piercing prices... I went back to ink 99 and spoke to Matty, I showed him a picture of my lip and to be honest with you, he acted like he just did not give a shit.. anyway, I got the owners number, angelo, I've called Angelo multiple times to have a discussion regarding the procedure and the over charges, i left him multiple messages and he has refused to return my calls, which is why I am posting this review regarding his shop. Beware of this place, this place does not care about their customers, they don't care about customer satisfaction all they care about is the bottom dollar, get your money and get them out. At least that's how I feel. Anyone who asks me I will tell them to stay as far away from them as possible. It never should have taken an hour to pierce my lip and he never should have charged me over $100 to pierce my lip. They are thieves, the owner doesn't care cuz he doesn't return calls. I give this place a triple zero!!!

I called this business to find out if they did VCH (genital hood piercings) whoever answered the…read morephone said yes they did, that I could have an appointment the next day at 2pm with a female piercer, I asked the price and she clearly stated it was $60 with the jewelry included. Since this was such a great price I booked the appointment. The following day I go in to find out that my appointment hasn't been booked at all, okay no big deal, when asked what piercing I was getting I discreetly told the woman at the desk (seeing as there were other people all around) and she spoke rather loudly about it, then went to tell the male piercer that I would be next, I explained that I was supposed to be with the female; next the female piercer comes out and asks me what piercing so I once again discreetly tell her a hood piercing- to which she says something about piercing my Fupa area- two completely different areas by the way- so now I'm slightly concerned, but, just reexplain. She says she will be ready for me shortly, now I'm putting my information in the system and the woman checking me in asks what I was quoted, I tell her $60 she says that's completely wrong and that she will check with the piercer how much it is. The piercer comes bombing out from the back room speaking VERY loudly about genital piercing, I think she said genital 3 times as loudly as possible before I had a chance to ask her to lower her voice. Now the piercing is $200 which is $80 over every other place I had called. I explained that I was fine with it, money wasn't an issue, but that they should certainly find out who answered the phone considering now we have found many mistakes, (no booked appointment, wrong quote) they tell me anyone who is there answers the phone so they would have no idea who it was and weren't very concerned with it. Okay fine?... now I'm waiting over 20 mins and the male piercer comes out and asks if he can help a couple guys who walked in the door- whatever they said to him I'm not sure but he responded with an attitude and "well i don't know i just walked out here." Then approaches me and asks if I've been helped- I tell him yes. Now he asks me with what, I tell him I'm all set and that I'm waiting for the female piercer, to which he responds "ohhhh, you're the VCH huh." I waited a little while longer, pretty shell shocked and uncomfortable with their customer service, or lack thereof, and finally made the decision to leave since I really didn't feel like getting my vagina pierced by someone with a clear attitude. I'm far from a prude but I definitely think this could all have been handled so much more professionally.

Let's start with my 1st impressions. We are first timers and in our late fifties. We never pictured ourselves as "the tattooing types" until we recently decided we wanting matching(ish) pieces. I went to visit several shops months in advance to scope out our options. Walking in, you would think that you had entered a hair salon or possbly even an art gallery. Brightly lit, super clean and colorful, I felt instantly welcomed. The owner , Shea has knocked it out of the park. Lis at the front desk was super friendly and set me at ease. Listening to what I wanted, she recommended Ed, as he is a master of super fine line work. It took us months to get our act together, but when we returned everyone remembered and welcomed us. Ed was fantastic helping us get our art finalized and very patient when I asked him to reposition the stencil after he had nearly finished. The end products for both of us? Wow just wow. The tattoos exceeded both of our wildest expectations! And the line work on my intricate one is just out of this world. I cannot recommend Ed and the entire crew at Legacy Blue enough. Fantastic work and a wonderful experience all around for us two newbies.
