I've had these piercings for almost a year now and for somebody who has a notoriously hard time getting piercings to heal these came out amazingly well and I've had no major issues at all. Cozy even indicated that the top piercing on both lobes actually ended up hitting cartilage (small ear problems) which I could hear and feel when the piercing was going on (ew!) and warned me that it might make it a bit harder and longer to heal, but it still went fine and really healed up nicely! As a note: if you do go on a Friday the 13th make sure you get there early enough because it does take a while and be aware that you sign up/form a line behind the shop, not out front on the sidewalk.

An hour and a half in the bitter cold alley later and line hadn't moved. Paid $10 for a notary waiver for a minor child and never got that, or my time back. Not one person in line moved so we eventually left. One very positive thing that came out of this was I met an awesome dude at Monique's about 20 minutes away who was an expert piercer with small a wait time and he took less than five minutes with his professionalism and skill to complete this simple ask. Afterwards I noticed that the piercings were both crooked and entered in at different strange angles that would later cause me unneeded swelling and hindered the healing process. The approx. time for cartilage to heal is 8-12 weeks and at over 3 months later my ears are still sore and swollen and when I try to change my earrings I have immense difficulty guiding my earrings in. In my right ear the piercing is actually coming out the side of my ear instead of the back. I expected the employees at Piercing Pagoda to be well trained in ear piercing since that is their business specialty.

Matty, the so called piercer, failed to tell me that a Marilyn dermal should not be done, only that it would be difficult to do.. I guess he saw dollar signs..because not only did it take him 1 hour to do this..he also charged me $100.00 for it..me not knowing what they normally would go for, I paid him+ tip. I'll admit, I was happy with it.. Sore.. But happy.. But then.. It all went wrong...I was at another establishment and asked if they could look at my piercing, and I was shocked, pissed, and annoyed that Matty" the master piercer" not only should not have pierced a dermal on my lip but charge me $90 over their standard piercing prices... I went back to ink 99 and spoke to Matty, I showed him a picture of my lip and to be honest with you, he acted like he just did not give a shit.. anyway, I got the owners number, angelo, I've called Angelo multiple times to have a discussion regarding the procedure and the over charges, i left him multiple messages and he has refused to return my calls, which is why I am posting this review regarding his shop. Beware of this place, this place does not care about their customers, they don't care about customer satisfaction all they care about is the bottom dollar, get your money and get them out. Let's start with my 1st impressions. We are first timers and in our late fifties. We never pictured ourselves as "the tattooing types" until we recently decided we wanting matching(ish) pieces. I went to visit several shops months in advance to scope out our options. Walking in, you would think that you had entered a hair salon or possbly even an art gallery. Brightly lit, super clean and colorful, I felt instantly welcomed. The owner , Shea has knocked it out of the park. Lis at the front desk was super friendly and set me at ease. Listening to what I wanted, she recommended Ed, as he is a master of super fine line work. It took us months to get our act together, but when we returned everyone remembered and welcomed us. Ed was fantastic helping us get our art finalized and very patient when I asked him to reposition the stencil after he had nearly finished. The end products for both of us? Wow just wow. The tattoos exceeded both of our wildest expectations! And the line work on my intricate one is just out of this world. I cannot recommend Ed and the entire crew at Legacy Blue enough. There were several of us getting tattoos that day, and Cory was amazing! He is super down to earth, personable, and welcoming. Some of the people from our group had never gotten a tattoo before, and Cory was extremely thorough in answering any questions they had. It's important to find an artist that will take their time to get the job done right, and Cory did just that. Studio was clean and bright, and an all-around comfortable atmosphere to be in.
