Considering how much they charge, I would think the owners would take better care of this place. The machines are great. But alot haven't been repaired and it's been a loooong time since they've been out of commission. The restrooms need better ventilation and their own AC system. They're hot and stinky. I know what restrooms are for, but plenty of businesses know how to manage them and keep them neat. A massive fan blowing the poop particles everywhere isn't working. The water dispenser needs a filter and a cooling system. I've never had water that gross. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I see them walking around cleaning constantly. But there's only so much they can do. The owners came up with a bunch of rules, but they can't spare a few dollars to make the place more pleasant for their clients. When I asked for clarification or requested the written policy that supposedly required this, no one could explain it or provide documentation. Multiple attempts to obtain clarity were ignored. Instead of responding, management canceled my membership citing vague "Terms and Conditions" violations, without identifying a specific rule, date, incident, or prior warning. I escalated the matter through the Better Business Bureau to obtain transparency. The business still did not respond, and the BBB lowered their rating due to the lack of response. If a business delays customers for no clear reason, cannot explain or document its own rules, and chooses avoidance over communication, that reflects a lack of professionalism and accountability. The maintenance people here are lacking always. Never greasing the machines, every machine squeaky and the attachments on cables don't move properly, the people here don't pay attention to details, bolts loose nuts loose, this one machine in the phot has been taped off for maybe 4 months now. They don't have hand sanitizer anymore and the soap dispensers in the restroom give a drop of soap. For the amount of dues that are paid monthly, they could afford soap and sanitizers. read more

I can trust people here, and that's beautiful. I didn't bring my gym bag one day,and I forgot my keys, someone turned them in. Another day I was so into my workout, I left my very expensive designer prescription sunglasses and someone turned them in. I forgot my AirPod pros and YES someone turned them in. The gym is clean, the environment is nice, the equipment is good. They don't have showers, but they have changing rooms. The staff in the front explain things with no problem and that's very much appreciated. I was charged 3 separate charges in 1 month and it was explained that the prices increased but the system that they used wasn't updated to reflect the enhanced price, the other charge is their monthly facility maintenance fee charged on the 15th. read more

My second visit to Legends Barbell on Mar. 15, 2025 at 11:15 am was definitely an experience. One of the female employees was quite rude. She asked me to stand in the corner while I was waiting. Why is there a merch shop and juice bar at the entrance of the place if you want people to stand in a corner to wait? ...there are also benches. But she said, "Can you stand over there?" Literally pointing to a corner. The machines are not great. It seems some are just there for looks. (see photo) ...I mean what even is this machine? This gym is not welcoming towards everyone. It is definitely catered towards a certain demographic. They blast their music loud, and you go slightly deaf in one ear just walking to the bathroom. Checking in as a guest is a nightmare. You fill out an information sheet with all your info, typical guest sign in things.. Then they read aloud to you an entire grocery list of gym etiquette rules with every. single. visit. They also ask to see your ID with every single visit, even if the employee has seen you before. (???) Would not recommend this gym. read more

I used to love this gym and had gone for years. However, when I moved to Arizona in 2022 I forgot to cancel my membership and I was already living 5 hours away. I had moved 6/19/22. I emailed them on 7/31/22 to cancel my membership, but they continued to charge me. I had called and emailed them again 9/15/22 and reminded them that I already cancelled my membership via email & I forwarded them the original email as evidence. Legends responded the next day 9/16/22 via email and said they tried getting in touch with me by phone (true) & emailed me 08/01/2022 with a link to a cancellation form (not true--false!!). Regardless of that form, their email also stated that I neither filled out the cancellation form nor completed a "confirmation email response." (I have receipts) According to Legends, my calls and emails aren't an adequate form of communication to cancel my membership which is false! (Any form of text such as a text message or email can be used as evidence of communication.) At that point, I had already been charged multiple times from them and who knows if a cancellation form would stop them. They continued to charge me for nearly an entire year that I was living out of state. I had to call my bank and tell them to place a stop payment on the merchant. I should've done it a long time ago and told my bank that they fraudulently took my money. However, since I moved back to the area, I was going to consider giving management a chance to iron things out with me and possibly credit me for the months I was charged so I can return as a member. Then I learned about a rule that you cannot return as a member's guest if you were once a member yourself. I was planning to go workout with my best friend and talk to management while I was there, but it just sounded like another silly rule and couldn't workout there that day. The vibes were so off. Nobody cared to email me and take care of it either. Maybe it's time to ask my bank or lawyer about being refunded? I'm not familiar with the statute of limitations for this situation and too much time may have passed already. Either way, my experience with how they handled my gym membership was horrible, and I tried not to believe the other bad experiences that others have shared with me over the years because I actually like the gym, but it's not very important until it actually happens to you!
