I came here on a Wednesday night, and it wasn't too crowded. There were plenty of seats at the bar, and we were greeted right away. They even had Parish Brewing's Ghost in the Machine for only six bucks, which was a nice surprise. There are two pool tables, and it's $1.25 per game. I usually love Marley's, but the service we experienced tonight was just not okay. I came with a group and they expressed one of our friends couldn't come in due to a dress code issue. Which was fine, just a little skeptical because they have let him in with the same outfit on a previous occasion. We were fine with leaving, there were severe weather warnings and rain outside. Therefor, we asked if we could just stand inside while waiting for our uber to arrive which the man at the front door agreed was fine, and the lady at the front desk also agreed was fine as long as we didn't block the desk. The owner of Marley's proceeds to tell us that we cannot stand there and kicks us out of the bar. The owner did not even speak to us directly. He told the same woman that said we could stand out of the rain to tell us that we need to leave. Leaving us to stand outside in the cold and rain under an extreme cold warning. Lack of human decency is inexcusable. read more

I was visiting from out of town. Came on a Wednesday night around 11pm. Not a large crowd but all of downtown was kind of dead. Quick bar service, good prices, multiple TVs at the bar only with a variety of sports in. I would love to see how this place is on a weekend. Oh and HUGE outdoor patio/bar area. read more

HORRIBLE place to watch a game. They should just take "sports" out of their name and admit their DJ thinks he is SO great that he should play music through kickoff and halftime report when entire bar is watching a game. That is, after they finally figured out how to make the sound on the TV mostly work-- two plays into the game. Enough time delay that it's impossible to tell what refs say. If you want 80s dance tunes instead of football, this is your place. If you want to watch (and listen to) the biggest NCAA matchup of the season, go somewhere else. Sure wish we had.... read more

This is my favorite bar in the area and I've been living here my whole life. The owner Andy is the definition of southern hospitality.

Probably the best Lafayette bar top to bottom. Clean, friendly staff. No cover. Drinks are not cheap but this means there are no riff raffs and trashy people that come around. Very large bar with two pool tables. The patio is also large. Friendly people and overall clean bar. One of the best in Lafayette for sure. read more

Let me tell you something . If I could've gave this place no stars I would've but this place altogether sucks . It makes no sense that it was literally the only place I could go to downtown until this day . The bartenders were very careless with their service. They were super friendly with the others such as "white" and gave me and the rest of the colored crowd dirt service . I'm not the one to even bring up anything like that but it was clear as day. After waiting nearly over almost an hour for food they told us we have to eat outside . Then we go outside and about 10 min later a guy comes out telling us we have to get off the grounds when there were so many other people there . I just don't understand how any boss would hire these kind of people . & honestly my opinion will not matter but just know I definitely won't be back because it was rudely unacceptable. read more

Going off the last person review I checked it out on a Monday. The bar was hopping!! All the bartenders were nice eye candy and you cant beat the 2 fer 1 beers. Dont know if thats a normal thing down here but your not going to find it in PA. read more

Kickin place! I was in town on business on a Sunday and was looking for someplace to watch the games. Went on a recommendation from yelp, and was pleasantly surprised with their Sunday special of Jumbalaya. Excellent I must say!!! Only draw back was a limited menu, but what they did serve was excellent. Their cheese steak sandwiches are the best. Enjoyed, myself and even took other co-workers back with me. read more

Please stop serving food. The Philly Cheese steak had no cheese, dry meat and was served on a large hot dog bun. It was not good at all. The chili on the nachos was honestly the worst I have ever had. I understand it's a bar but it's not hard to do a decent job with bar food. read more

Service is second to none (thats most important to me). Just got refused entry into Marley's because my clothing was too baggy and my shirt was too long (because they have a DRESS CODE), so I asked to speak with the management on duty, door guy asked me to stand at the end of the bar and management would be with me in a second, so the bar manager comes from behind the bar and says "how can I help you?", I asked him "what's was wrong with what I have on?", he proceeds to tell me "your shirt is too long and my pants are too baggy", at this point I gave him the look. I proceed too tell him that my shit is the same length as his shirt, so he goes on too say "well your pants are too baggy," I give him the look again, I replied with "I'm 5'11 whose 300 pounds, clothing is going to fit loosely, now if I was a 95 pound short man shopping at the big&tall store you'd have a valid point about my clothing being too long and baggy." At this point he had the dumbest look on his face, so I asked for his name so when I contacted the establishment in the morning I could recite the events of the night, he proceeds to tell me that he's the "owners right hand man and that's all the info I'll need when I called the establishment, so I asked him again for his name (trying too give him the opportunity to be a man and stand by is statements) but chose to stick with "I'm the owners right hand man." This will probably fall on deaf ears, blind eyes, and blackened souls but I can definitely say without a doubt "I will never recommend this establishment ever again." read more
