The park offers numerous recreational activities, such as disc golf, playgrounds, picnic areas, and walking trails. It encompasses the Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile Botanical Gardens, and Playhouse in the Park. In addition, the park features tennis courts (the Mobile Tennis Center), and athletic fields for baseball and softball. Langan Park is also a popular spot for outdoor concerts and family outings. Many of the trees are labeled by genus and species. Plus, there is a large body of water that harbors the natural habitat for many birds, insects and other aquatic life. The 2.5 mile diameter sidewalk in the park is perfect for walking or running; though, It is not good for rollerskating in-line skating or skateboarding. Mostly because the mandatory crevices in the sidewalk are too wide (in some places) for the small wheels to navigate them safely. Seemingly, The maintenance crew does not keep the sidewalk very clear from debris. This could seriously injure a skateboarder or roller skater. It (a nasty fall from debris on the sidewalk) has happened to me twice already in the last six months. Minus 1 star for maintenance. Otherwise I completely enjoy walking in the park

This park has a lot. Always clean, litter free, pet friendly, great for kids, families, couples, etc. Tons of wildlife: ducks, geese, fish, turtles, rabbits, squirrels, an occasional alligator sighting in the lake areas (warm weather usually). Every time I come here, I always find something cool or new that keeps me coming back. Safe, there is a police station and military reserve located in the park near the museum. Directly across Ziegler Blvd from Mobile Japanese Gardens.

Park is ran by Chickasaw Housing Authority, park is surrounded by brick apartment homes with limited decorating or personality. Permit parking only. I saw a lot of wildlife like owls, squirrels, and birds. This is one of the most oppressive and depressing parks I have visited in Mobile County. My suggestion is to bypass this park, visit other nearby parks instead. Saraland is nearby and has many nice parks. I hope that something is done to improve this park, it's just sad because I like Chickasaw. It is a nice, clean, quiet area. I just do not like this park at all.

Park is a fairly open large space with some Pine Trees surrounding the perimeter. The park is pet friendly granted your dog is on a leash. Soccer is played here, maybe baseball and football. Park has no playground or restrooms, but there is a port-a-potty near the parking lot. Park is clean with no litter. Parking lot is medium sized, signs posted vehicles left more then 48 hours will be towed. This is not a good park for events or birthday parties, there is limited shade, no benches, no tables, no pavilions, no bleachers, restrooms, or concession stands. Other then sports or walking your dog, there is not too much to do.

We spent an hour and a half here one afternoon while we were waiting to be able to check into our airbnb and it would have been nice to be sitting on a bench instead of the ground.
