It really amazes me that it's taken so many reviews to get this point across: This company sucks! They've sucked for as long as they've been in business and cab service in the LV in general all sucks equally regardless of whom you call. Typical call to Lehigh Valley Taxi: Dispatcher: Taxi... (Imagine someone OD'ing on horse tranquilizers to get the idea of how this is said.) You: I need to go to XYZ. Dispatcher: I've never heard of XYZ, we don't go there. You: Really? XYZ has been in downtown on Main Street for 20 years. Dispatcher: Sure, what's the address of XYZ? You: It's at 1313 Main Street Dispatcher: Alright, we'll get there. You: But I never told you where I am. Dispatcher: Oh, where are you. You: 1313 Mockingbird Lane, about how long will this take? Dispatcher: I already told you, we'll get there. You: How long is that? Dispatcher: (click and dial tone) That's more or less what you get. Attempt to call them back and either they see your number and don't answer the phone or then suddenly the dispatcher's sedative wears off and he'll piss on you that he told that "they'll get there". So if you're lucky, maybe they come for you in an hour or so or maybe it'll be a week or maybe never at all, who knows? If you're in the LV area and need a lift do one of the following: 1. Don't be cheap. Stay at a hotel with a 24 shuttle. They're out there. 2. Don't be cheap. Rent a car. 3. Don't be cheap. Pay a buddy to be your DD. 4. Walk 5. Bike 6. Snowshoe 7. Dogsled 8. Hang glide 9. Hook up with Wile E. Coyote for a pair of his Acme Jet Powered Skates Or simply skip whatever plans you had to go wherever you were going to go because wherever you're going will likely be closed or out of business by the time you're done waiting for these jokers to pick you up. read more

Our dispatcher and driver were very friendly. If we hadn't asked the dispatcher to dispatch a cab, and the driver to drive it, I would gladly give them five stars. The cab, promised in 20 minutes, came in 50, after repeated calls. But the dispatcher was really very pleasant as she repeatedly told me our taxi to the bus station was just around the corner. If I hadn't been trying to catch a bus out of town, I might well have stayed on the phone longer and made a friend. Once the cab came, we gave the driver our destination (which we had also given to the dispatcher) and even provided directions. But, presumably since he has a car, the driver didn't have any idea how to get to the bus station. He happily ignored our directions and the increasingly plaintive "turn right" messages from his GPS to give us a tour of scenic downtown Bethlehem. After a meandering, meter-raising tour, on which I excitedly called out the sights ("Look! That was that road the GPS just told us to take! And look -- the next street is one-way in the other direction!"), we finally came to the terminal. The driver, smiling, told us it was his first day. I, too, happily remember my first days driving, following directions and using a GPS, so it was nice to be able experience those joys again through fresh eyes. Once we got to the admittedly barebones bus terminal, the driver apparently didn't believe that such a drab location could be our destination, but we ultimately managed to convince him to stop and accept our money. read more

What a horrible bunch of Jerks. I have used this taxi service several times because they have a monopoly over Bethlehem. Other taxi services will not pick up here. Every time their dispatcher (man or woman, both of them) gives me an attitude. Look, kiddo, you got problems, I got problems. We all got problems. But if you take it out on your customers, it's only coming back to you. Uber is in Bethlehem and now there is no reason to consider these bastards. Uber is eating your lunch now toolbags! I called for a cab after arriving in town on Transbridge lines. The lady whoever she is said it would be a 30 minute wait. After 30 minutes I called back and a guy answers saying they are going through a shift change. It was over an hour before I was picked up and I don't believe that lady dispatcher gave anyone my ride. Two days later I need to get back to transbridge and the lady again tells me its a 25 minute wait. This was 8am that I called, at 8:30 there is still no taxi after a second call I got a taxi. I don't know how they do things in Bethlehem but if I call for a taxi... I need one. The driver said she never put the call out for my ride until the second time I called. Don't tell me 25 or 30 minutes as a default. Just horrible customer service and unprofessional. read more

I thought it was just me, but I guess not. While visiting Bethlehem, I had occasion to use this taxi company, recommended to me by my hotel. The pick-up went smoothly and, as stated by a previous reviewer, the car was clean and the driver polite. Later that evening, I called back to request another pick-up. It certainly sounded as though someone would answer the phone and immediately hang up without saying anything! Very disappointing experience. If you are relying on them for service, I strongly suggest having a backup plan. read more

Used them twice now. First time was in August at 3AM to get to the airport. Younger guy, no later than his mid-twenties. He was on time, nice, and efficient. Second time was yesterday. Older gentleman, maybe in his 40's-50's? He was about 15 minutes late, however he was an absolute pleasure to ride with. Talked the whole way there and he even carried my bag up to my door like a true gentleman. This company has bad reviews but I'm 2 for 2 on wonderful experiences with them. read more

Terrible, I called about 20 minutes before the bus dropped me off and they told me not to call until I had arrived. I called again, dispatch told me 30 min. Waited 45 to call back to get an eta. I didn't get a ETA I got a, "I'm sending him right to you after this." In total I waited for 1.5 HOURS for a taxi that had another party in it! They couldn't swipe my card so we had to fill out a form, I was given grief over the name of my city because he had never heard of it before so it didn't seem real. Not to mention they didn't have a meter or any listing on cab fare. Suggestion to those reading this, if you're even close to the Allentown line and need to go into Bethlehem, Call a Allentown Cab, there are way more of them. And will let you call a cab 30min in advance. read more

Lehigh Valley Transport did a great job yesterday picking up my niece and friend hiking the Appalachian Trail and bringing them back to Bethlehem. The dispatcher was courteous and professional, and the driver Jenny was super: diligent, friendly, and very professional. I was really impressed. read more

After reading the other reviews I was concerned about the service. When I phoned to ask about scheduling a pickup to take me to the airport and how much the fare was I spoke with Jane who was very helpful and explained how they operated. I wasn't ready to schedule when I spoke with her so when I called back a few days later a man answered a bit gruffly but still took my reservation and answered a few questions but then abruptly hung up. Not unusual in some respects on the East Coast. I called the day before pickup to confirm and all was well. On the day of my scheduled pickup the driver Will was there about 8-10 minutes early. He was pleasant and a good driver getting me to the airport efficiently. He even took some suggestions how to avoid some traffic lights in my neighborhood. read more

Horrible customer service. Under promise and over deliver, is definitely NOT a motto for this company. I was promised a cab within 20 minutes (after stating the urgency needed), stood in the rain waiting. When they were past the allotted time, I called to cancel. I was told to wait until my driver was there and explain it to him. I said that I would not, and they could pass the message. I was then called by the driver who was shouting at me and kept repeating 'this isn't NY'. As I am not from NY, and only expected what was promised (not even sure what the NY comment was about). Call few weeks ago they say 5 minutes and they took 45. Then called again on Oct 5 whoever was on shift from 1130 to 1145 at night had a major attitude problem you do not talk to customers like that if you want to make money at the end of the day, It's all about money and for having such low scoring on reviews these people really need to step it up. If I could rate this a 0 I would. The driver may have been high/drunk. He was driving so erratically, my girlfriend and I were honestly afraid for our lives. Sliding around turns. Slamming on the breaks at stop signs. Excessively accelerating through neighborhoods, in the dark flying around corners that you couldn't see what or who was on the other side. If i could give them 0 stars i would! My grandmother had just gotten out of the emergency room and called them. They had her on hold for 25 minutes. She hung up and called me to try and call. So i did. I'd drive her myself but i live an hour and half away and its almost 10 pm. HE WAS VERY RUDE AND ALMOST PUT ME ON HOLD BECAUSE I TOLD HIM HE HAD MY GRANDMOTHER WAITING. He said "yeah we're busy, hear the phones ringing? Then asked for her number so i said one minute let me get it for you. He then said see this is why im about to put you on hold." I would never use this company if I had any other option. But they are the only taxi service for the entire Bethlehem area! You would think an area with a casino, university, downtown bars, and an airport would at least have a few options for taxis. But no. When I call, every time I get a rude, sassy man who seems bothered to answer the phone and the first time I asked to be picked up at a certain time, he yelled "we don't do appointments!" and hung up! If there was any way that I could leave either 0 or negative stars, I would. Me and 4 girls had called at around midnight this past Saturday (8/10/13) and they had let us know it would be 45 minutes to an hour. A bit of a wait, but what else could we do? So about 20 minutes into the wait, my girlfriend recieved a call, which she just missed, but immediately called back. They informed us that the cab has arrived. So we gathered everyone together and assembled outside. About 15 minutes later we decided to call back. They informed us that they were seconds to minutes away. About 15 minutes after that, we called back again, and once again, we were informed they were minutes away. I think you can see where this is going. Finally after calling and calling for well over an hour and a half, my girlfriend called them very upset (understadibly), and their "Manager" informed us that he was tired of our phone calls so he went ahead and cancelled our cab, leaving all of us stranded in the middle of bethlehem at 1:30AM. Let me also state that this is not the first time this com[any has acted this way. They are consistently rude, and have absolutely no respect for their customers. POOR SERVICE - I've been stranded twice by them after promising to pick me up within 20 minutes. They eventually came 90 to 120 minutes after my call. As for politeness, forget it! They are rude, obnoxious and very unprofessional! I was hung up on multiple times, yelled at, lied to and according to one of the drivers, "they were told to leave my A$% there if I did not come out right away! I have had 3 experiences with this company. 1. told a cab would be there in 20 mins....3 hours later, we were told "we should just walk home" 2. A driver got out of his car, threatened to fight us, and drove away. 3. left after 3 minutes waiting outside, when we called back told us to go "F" ourselves. Worst cab company i have ever dealt with waited over an hour for a cab even though i was told it would take 20 minutes

My problem does not lie within timing of pick up or anything like that. My complaint is withy safety and health. The cab driver I was sent had a very very poor work ethic and a dangerous one at that. He first pulls up and picks me up which is fine, but then proceeds to light up a cigarette, not even asking if I am okay with it which I wasn't but I kept my mouth shut. Then the Un think able happens. He pulls out his phone and I kid you not, he begins texting during the ENTIRE twenty minute trip to my destination. It was perhaps the most frightening experience of my life. I should have said something but I was scared to and I'm not exactly the type for a fight. Oh! And also I had to give him directions the whole way there. I'm not from around here. I'm from Jersey but go to school here so I not familiar with the area. Let me start by saying i wish i can rate 0 stars... this company is TERRIBLE!!! So i was at the sands went to take my daughter to cyber quest and to eat walked over there from 5 points which is about a 30 min walk since it was nice out but the later it got the colder it was... so i decided to call a taxi they told me it would be about 20-25 minutes, bs, i waited a whole hour just for the driver to tell me he couldnt take me cause my daughter didn't have a carseat. Mind u dis is my first time hearing of any of dis bs. So i call da operator again and i ask him what's da while deal wit da carseat? He said yes it's required now. I told him but a day like today i wasn't planning on taking a cab i walked there but it got too cold and why would i carry a carseat with me everywhere i go? His reply was"when my kids were small i carried a carseat with me everywhere" seriously who carries a carseat to the mall, movies, parks, etc. Makes no sense! This Company is nothing but a rip off.In October 2015 I was in St Luke's hospital in Fountain Hill and was being transfer to Good Shepherd Rehab in Allentown We was told it was going to be $35.00.for the trip and the insurance wound take care of the bill. In November 2015 I got a bill for $52.50 this company and I called and told them to send the bill to the insurance company and in December.2015 I got another bill I called the insurance company and asked why The bill was not paid and the insurance company told me to tell them to summit the form and I call them and told them and I spoke to Don and he said ok. Don't hear nothing until a few days ago.and I called them and spoke to Don again He was rude and nasty he said I better pay the bill or He is going to take me to court because the insurance company denied it not true.I called the insurance company and ask why it was denied it the insurance company told that they send a check for $36.79 in January 2016 i call them and told them them that the insurance company paid them and spoke to the General Manager and told me that why did I wait so long to cal land there no record of me never calling and I said yes I been calling and he said no if and buts pay this or going to court because I want a free ride and never call there again and they are taking me to court and he the insurance company denied it and he never got any money from the insurance company and I called back the same day a I spoke to some women and she said that some one name Jack is going to call me still waiting 3 days and to I got another bill from them and it say I own$123.75 because they took off the discount because i don't pay the bill on time .What crooks this company is.
