I was contacted by this attorney after being referred through a State Bar referral service…read more Initially, the voicemail and introduction were professional and gave me a positive first impression. Unfortunately, the call quickly went downhill. Very early on, the attorney claimed to already understand my case without asking several key questions that would reasonably be expected in a family law consultation. When I attempted to clarify or provide context, the conversation turned into what felt more like a lecture than a consultation. Comments such as "whoa," "pump the brakes," and repeated interruptions made it difficult to get a word in. The tone became increasingly dismissive, with statements like "no, no, no -- this is this type of case," despite limited fact-gathering. I ultimately let him speak uninterrupted, at which point the conversation abruptly shifted to billing. I was told the case would require a $12,000 fee, framed as reasonable because "it's not $10k and other firms charge $15k." There was no clear explanation of scope, strategy, or why that number made sense for my situation -- just a comparison to higher numbers elsewhere. I then raised reasonable concerns about publicly available information: mixed reviews, limited time practicing in California, and lack of specialization in the specific area of law I was seeking help with. I asked how he would address those concerns and explain why hiring him would make sense. The response was dismissive, characterizing negative reviews as coming from "a few angry or upset people," followed by the comment that this was not "shit on Nick day." At that point, I ended the conversation and thanked him for his time. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and overly familiar in tone, rather than client-centered or consultative. If this is how communication is handled with potential clients, I would be concerned about professionalism in higher-stakes settings. Zero stars if that were an option. I would also caution others that a State Bar referral does not appear to vet for professionalism or communication style. Only licensure I suppose.

Worst experience. Completely unprofessional, unresponsive, and disrespectful.I hired Nick expecting…read morecompetent legal representation, but his handling of my case was entirely unacceptable. Throughout the process, communication was nearly impossible. He routinely postponed scheduled calls, spent minimal time discussing my case, and consistently used being "busy with court" as an excuse to blow off my questions. I constantly walked on eggshells and accommodated his schedule, yet received zero support. The worst part occurred when he failed to show up for a scheduled court appearance. Despite being my attorney of record, he forced me to represent myself. When I messaged him during the hearing to get guidance on court lingo I did not understand, he became furious. After court, I called him to ask him a couple questions and yelled at me, condescended to me, and hushed me when I tried to speak. He falsely accused me of messaging him too early in the morning, which was entirely untrue.Nick showed a complete lack of respect, an unprofessional work ethic, and deeply concerning behavior toward me as a woman. No client should ever be yelled at or abandoned by the lawyer they paid to protect them. I am officially filing a formal complaint with the State Bar Association. Avoid this attorney at all costs.

She was consistently available to answer questions, very prompt with communication, and extremely reassuring whenever I felt anxious about the process, especially with immigration policies changing so often in the news. She was thorough from start to finish and made sure we understood what was needed at each step. Her assistant Grace was also wonderful, super communicative, organized, and patient, and she helped us get through what felt like endless paperwork. Deepika's preparation was so strong that it showed up clearly at the interview. Our green card interview was scheduled within about two months of filing and we received the green card within about a month after the interview. When the USCIS officer opened our file, she said, "Who is your lawyer?" because Deepika had assembled a huge, well organized packet of evidence. When I asked if she needed anything else, the officer said, "Oh no, this is plenty of evidence, I am not going to ask you for much else." That moment captured how thorough Deepika is. Thank you Deepika and Grace for your outstanding support.

I recently needed a real estate attorney for a non-transactional matter. I contacted several…read moreattorneys from SJ to SF, including the East Bay, and found that their responses generally fell into the following categories: 1) Ghosted / never returned my calls. 2) Some replied with a menu of fees with one asking for a $600 consultation fee (a neutral statement, not a judgment on how anyone runs their business). 3) Several days to respond to each message. 4) One launched into a monologue about how he could take my case all the way to the Supreme Court. Eric was the only attorney who responded the same day. He even took the time to decipher my nearly inaudible voicemail, which had been garbled by poor cell reception. He was direct and transparent from the start and spent more than 30 minutes speaking with me before deciding to take on my case. He is exceptionally intelligent, efficient, and highly knowledgeable about real estate law. The level of time and care he devoted to my case made me feel like I was his only client. In addition, he is a skilled litigator, making him a one-stop resource for any legal issues that may arise. He will always be the first person I think of if I or my friends ever need legal advice. If you need someone who is a master of his craft and doesn't play games, Eric is the one.
