I agreed to pay $1,069 to file a LLC cause I thought in person service might be better than those cheaper online services. What was the out come? INCOMPLETE FILING!!! We initially filed the company in January 2017 and by February 6th Suhas informed me that the company was posted. Then we filed EIN. On March 15th I signed and scanned the Statement of Information to Suhas and he promised to file. However, he never ever returned my phone call or updated me regarding the company status ever again!!! I was too naive to think if he didn't return my phone call might be because the filing was completed and there was nothing to worry about. BUT today I received a Delinquency Notice saying I've never completed my filimg!!! It has been more than half a year there is no excuse for Suhas or Drason Law not completing the filing specially they are a precessional law firm!!! I regret I didn't do enough homework on the processes of filing for a LLC. I regret more of giving this law firm my trust and money! Update: Just finished the filing online and of course I had to pay the filing fee again!

AFTER I fired them (for poor performance and suspected bill padding) they magically produced new invoices totalling 35k which are highly inflated in my opinion. Per contract they were supposed to invoice monthly but they have delayed invoices and I could not detect overcharges and fire them promptly. Quality of services provided was horrible in my opinion. After 40k+ in invoices they no child support was ordered, no dvro evidentiary trial happened and we haven't even exchanged satisfactory financial disclosures. Julia rescheduled trial day 1 at last moment and didn't show up for trial day 2 at all. Andrew who had no trial experience was driving a car and seemed completely unprepared to represent me, but he joined the call and I've lost 50% of custody that day. Yet, after this disaster, they charged me 17k for that month!!! When I confronted Andrew with poor results while charging too much Andrew replied "Results are irrelevant per engagement agreement".

My 3rd attorney issue was straightened out and hired Jess Smith at H & K. I was hesitant because she was such a young attorney; the same age as my daughter. This young woman saved me in so many ways. I will never be able to thank her enough for her emotional support and listening to some of my requests. I'm sure they were not normal but what is in this situation. She was on top of every document, request, response which were vast in numbers. Because California is a no fault state for divorces I feel it can be very lopsided if one has not pursued a traditional career. I had taken care of financials, home and child raising. As a woman who gave up her career as a graphic artist. I raised our daughter to become a wonderful doctor. I wore about 50 other hats to help my husband, daughter, household to succeed. Unfortunately they don't issue college degrees or adjust pay for this service. Jess Smith helped me navigate the legal labyrinth with some of the best representation that a woman in my situation could have. I really do think she performed miracles. She provided encouragement & the strength to fight for everything that I am entitled to, and perhaps more since I was 65 years old and had been with this man since I was 21 years old. Conveniently he was laid off so he did not have to provide spousal support. Jess as a young attorney; I think had a lot to do with what she helped me to achieve since she was so fresh and had set no boundaries yet. I think this career choice can be a very difficult and I hope this young attorney realizes just how much she'll helps people like me. Jess Smith went toe to toe with the opposing seasoned attorney and actually showed much more skill at times. There were many times where she had to remind the opposing attorney about deadlines and responses times.
