A gallery that sells native American art. The items are displayed beautiful. This is a good spot to shop. They sell not your usual souvenir shop items found around here at a good price and nice. I shopped around and wrote this review after my research. It's funny, but when I asked around these parts for recommendations as to were to go to buy things, this place was not mentioned to me. It should have been. The store has beautiful Jewelry. I especially like the copper and silver mix. You can find beautifully crafted pots, statues, bags, and much more. I really like this store - you can find some beautiful jewelry, home decor, and some limited clothing (mostly denim and Native American themed). They have a ton of jewelry in large glass display cases. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches, basically anything you want in any size and style you want. A lot of local stones and turquoise. They have some beautiful tables, wall clocks, and home decor inside as well. Staff were super friendly - they overheard me talking about how I'd like some tiny feather earrings and showed me some from their display. They also sized my friend's ring finger for her while she was there bc she wasn't sure her size. We had a great time inside shopping. read more

We love original establishments that sell genuine arts and crafts, not mass-produced junk made overseas. We had stopped by just to browse while we were in town and stopped by a day later to purchase a little framed sand art design. They have wonderful native American jewelry and artwork ranging from small to large and inexpensive to expensive. They wrapped our little item to make sure it wouldn't be damaged in our suitcase. The Kokopelli Gallery has beautiful south western, Native American lamps, jewelry, Knick knacks, art, and much more. My husband and I bought some beautiful lamps and wall art( metal piece of a horse and a Buffalo). Definitely a place to shop when in Moab. I recently ordered a Hopi bracelet for myself. It was sold out but the sales associate (Alex) made arrangements to have it shipped to me when done. Alex provided the best customer service I have had in the last ten years! He even made videos to help me with my product. Very friendly and knowledgeable... We came upon Lema's. while strolling Main Street in Moab. This is a fabulous shop with a large selection of clothing, jewelry, horsehair pottery, handcrafted items. Most stunning were unique handcrafted lamps and tables. While much of the merchandise was expensive, if you take your time to look, you can find some lovely memory pieces to take home from your visit to Moab. Rude, rude, rude!!!! This is by far the worst experience we had in Moab. Everyone (until Kokopelli Gallery) was friendly and helpful. But here's what we experienced at Kokopelli... We walked into the store and were immediately (pro-actively) ignored! And when the petite woman with short brownish hair decided that she would bestow a greeting upon us (10 minutes after we arrived) she was terse and indignant! Oh, and did I mention rude?!?!? ;-) For the first 10 minutes we were in the store, she was having a loud conversation with a man that appeared to be her husband. She then proceeded to follow us around like we were about to steal something at any moment. It was insulting! We're both executives from Silicon Valley (north of San Francisco, CA) -- and a store wouldn't last a week in our area if they employed a sub-par employee such as her. Who knows, maybe she was the owner??? But my goodness -- I sure hope not... as I would hope she would know better than anybody how important it is to greet your customers with a smile and "be available" if they should have any questions. EVERYONE is a potential buyer! I have to admit, they did have a wonderful selection of merchandise, and the prices were reasonable (especially for a gallery) -- but we decided that we wouldn't be purchasing ANYTHING from this store, as we refuse to patron anyone with absimal customer service. I even gave her one last chance to redeem herself as we were about to leave and thanked her for allowing us to browse around (...no response), told her that I hoped she had a wonderful rest of the day (...still no response), then stood there and said, "Goodbye" (and yes, still nothing!). She just stood there staring at us with a skowl on her face and glared at us as we approached the door to leave. Our advice -- only patron this establishment if you enjoy being igorned and condescended to! We continued through the rest of the town and had a fabulous time. A lovely store with unique handcrafted items. I bought a black jade ring for my husband; he cherishes the ring-beautiful detail. I bought a "sleeping beauty" turquoise bracelet for my mom-she cried with joy when she received it. I purchased 2 bracelets and a barret for myself-I love these pieces and truly enjoy wearing such quality jewelry. We purchased 3 metal art works for our backyard-outstanding! No one could repair it because it was inlaid work; however, Mr. Lema said he was going to find someone to do it and he did. The results are STUNNING!! I have been to this store many times over the last 15 years and I have bought many items. They have a great collection of things that make great gifts and additions to collections. I have never had a bad experience in this store like the person from California. The staff has always been very friendly to me. The owner was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and courteous. The can ship gifts to any where and gave us exceptional customer service by waiving some fees and shipping items together. This owner is a colossal jack wagon. After spending a goodly amount of time with a very sweet young lady (college student) I decided on a vase made by a Mexican potter, in fact I decided to buy two. I asked if this owner could do better on the price (routinely done with merchants) and got a flat out NO! Really, why? Shipping. What shipping? Apparently this owner goes to Mexico to do his buying and has no problem saying he is passing the cost on us buyers. Regardless this is a business write off and more than likely paid the potter half of what he was asking in his store. His store I get it. What I didn't get was his nasty, rude attitude. No merchant worth his salt would have ever behave in such a manner and also fail to realize I was an eager buyer. I did buy the two vases but the transaction felt all wrong and after thinking about it now that I am home I am writing this review. Yes the store has nice touristy things to buy and it is laid out where one would want to brose but steer clear of "Mr. Happy" he's a buzz kill and my only bad experience in Moab. read more

I'm a bit floored at that other review from 2012, this was not my experience at all. I've been to the store a few times over the years since moving to SLC and visiting Moab more frequently. I've never been met with anything but good customer service. My fiance actually bought my engagement ring (very nontraditional) here the weekend we got engaged on a trip to Moab. I almost always take out-of-town guests here when we bring someone down to Moab. read more
