My partner went to the lavatory, and when the food came out, they offered to put it back under heat to wait for her! Extra miles!!! The food itself is totally worth every cent. On July 9th, 2017 my daughter & I decided to come to this restaurant after a long day of driving from Belfast to Dublin then doing the touristy thing like whiskey tasting (had to twist our arms for that one. ha ha) as it was conveniently located next to our hotel plus we didn't want to eat the traditional hotel food, whether it be in the restaurant or room service. When we first walked in we were immediately hit by the smell of seafood. It wasn't too overpowering but I don't really like the smell of it as it makes me nauseous. We were contemplating either staying & just dealing with it until the hostess asked if we would like to sit outside which I immediately said yes. The outside seating is not out in the elements but rather in an enclosed patio but you still get plenty of fresh air and for me, could not smell the seafood which was a good thing. The enclosed patio (outdoor seating) was not loud at all, though we were the only ones sitting out there but I don't see it getting loud like the main restaurant as there are only 4 tables out there. With the decor of the of the patio (bamboo, miniature Japanese maples, a Buddha, etc.) it gives you a very calming & tranquil feeling. On to the menu....it is off the charts! So many things to choose from that all sounded so yummy we didn't know where to begin! We decided to start with their Beef Gyosa, which is a Japanese grilled beef dumpling with ginger, garlic, sake wine & soy sauce and oh so delicious! My daughter ordered the Massaman Lamb. This dish is a slow cooked Thai lamb with baby potatoes, red onions & crushed peanuts. It looked like a lamb stew (see picture), and it was served with steamed rice and vegetables. My daughter loved it! I ordered the Spicy Chicken & Basil. It is wok fried chicken breasts with basil, ginger & soy sauce, served with fried rice & steamed vegetables. Loved it! All the food was very light, not heavy on the stomach, and had unbelievable flavor! It actually reminded me of a restaurant in my own town in California that I love and it is also called Lemongrass. I kind of think they forgot about us as we were the only ones sitting in the patio area and it took quite a while and several attempts to get our check. We did speak with a woman who I think was the owner as she came to check on us. She was very nice & friendly. We discussed various food types, the restaurants delicious food and when we got on to Korean food she mentioned a Korean restaurant in the town of Dublin (we were on the outskirts in Saggart which is South of Dublin) that was good and then she started saying she was graving it. Pretty funny & friendly. All in all, it was a very good restaurant and food was great! When we got back to our hotel (next door) we noticed in their room service menu that you can order Lemongrass food from room service & have it delivered. Can't get anymore convenient then that! If you're staying at the City West Hotel & Golf Restaurant I would definitely recommend this restaurant. And if you're not but you want a nice treat I also recommend coming here for some delicious Thai Asian Fusion food. Food pricing is not inexpensive by any means, it's more a mid range to a little expensive but it's worth it in my opinion. The food is delicious and the flavors will pop in your mouth! read more

Located in the Citywest Hotel complex, Lemongrass is a surprise.  The asian fusion food is great with friendly warm service.   The menu has a large range of food.  There seems to be something for everyone.   It has nice decor, but not too fancey.  Good for kids - There were several tables of kids when I dined.  a little slow on the bill - guess they didn't want to rush the table.  Definitely popular - Always seems to be busy.  I sometimes worry about food being spicey, but had no problems with anything on their menu.  Even the dishes labeled as spicey.  Only dissapointment is the Lemongrass WiFi.  Never seemed to work. read more

This is a review for the Lemongrass To Go takeaway menu which i have had on a number of occasions. I have always found the food to be of a high standard with plenty of meat in each dish and most dishes tend to include vegetables which i like. It is therefore a good choice if you want to get a takeaway but don't want to get something too unhealthy. The 3 dishes offer for less than 30euro is a good choice. The 3 dishes of garlic beef, massamam curry and singapore noodles compliment each other well. You get a choice of 2 rices with this offer. I have also tried the pad thai, wok fried turkey with cashew nuts and nasi goreng and enjoyed them all! read more

A bit hard to find at the rear of the Citywest hotel and conference venue but has a good Thai menu with a few western options too. The service is excellent and the food is good but can get crowded at some lunchtimes. read more

Excellent! Took my wife here for her birthday and they took great care of us! Started with drinks (the Long Island iced tea was excellent), dinner and desert. The desert was brought with the brightest candle I have ever seen as she had Happy Birthday sung to her by the staff....very memorable and made her day! read more

This is a gorgeous restaurant, it is somewhere I go to a regular basis, probably twice a month or more and looking forward to it every time. I have only ever had one issue in this restaurant with a particular member of staff but this was resolved in an extremely professional and helpful manner and I was very happy with the outcome. I love the fact you can see straight into the very clean kitchen and have always found the staff (minus one that was probably just having a bad day) very helpful. read more

This restaurant was pretty good The service took a while, although the waiters were very friendly. The food took a long time though. I had the black bean steak and thought that it was only ok. The rest of the food was good though. Dessert was the highlight of the meal though. I had the brownie with vanilla ice cream and it was delicious. This is the go to restaurant in city west!! I absolutely love that they have a healthy options menu which lists all the calories - the ginger chicken is amazing and the sashimi rivals that of michie sushi!! Highly recommended!! It can be quite busy though so not always a quiet, private dinner feel! read more

We've visited the Lemongrass on many occasion and have never had a bad meal. Only downside is that the place is always packed to the rafters with diners. There are usually large groups of people dining together which make the restaurant extremely noisy. Choice & quality of food is great especially the Tappanyaki Menu. The food is a bit expensive for Thai cuisine. For Smokers, there is a fantastic smoking area provided which is a nice touch. read more

The worst experience I've ever had in "restaurant" and that is putting it very mildly. Booked well in advance, waited 20 minutes but then when we dared to question why the long wait & why others who arrive 15 minutes after us with the same number in their party were seated before us, we were told "we will not be feeding you tonight" not quite sure who she thought she was speaking to. Absolutely shocking carry on, needless to say we won't EVER be back and wouldn't recommend anyone else to go there either unless they wish to be treated this way. read more

This is a good restaurant nicely tucked away within the vast campus of citywest hotel. The restaurant has an extensive menu. Ate at the restaurant where the service was great and the food is also very good. Tried the pad Thai, Indonesian rice, chicken w cashew, which were excellent. Even tried their room service menu which was also good and more economical. So overall I would recommend this place for their diverse selection and fine quality n service. read more

Went here for lunch while on a business trip. Absolutely amazing. Had the tempura Brie and a pork dish with steamed rice. I will never have melted cheese like that Brie again - you have to try it. It comes with an apple dipping sauce. Eat it while it's still warm and fresh on your plate. Go here for lunch, the bento boxes are reasonably priced. read more
