There are restaurants around the perimeter like Jeans Hamburgers (awesome), Los Molcajetes (very good), Moka Café (great coffee and lunch) and a few others I have not tried. Parking is cheap ($6MX for 2 hours?). La Isla this is not, but if you must go to the grocery store, stop by and walk around a bit. It is mostly locals and not touristy other than expats going to Mega from the Marina condos.

So if you're purchasing Mexican products, it's great. But anything outside of that is quite expensive. I will say that they had a huge variety of products. Very common, there are over 800 different stores in Mexico alone and the number is always growing. The store was insanely crowded when we went but everyone was friendly and many people were smiling and saying hello to us. Or at least hola to us. The store is quite large and since this was the first time we were in the store or even in the city, we had a bit of difficulty navigating around but that actually made it fun. I don't even remember what we originally went in there for but it's the type that has so much stuff that you will find all kinds of things that you suddenly remember you need or at least want. Since we were traveling we had to use some common sense and limit our purchases to the absolute minimum. We thought it would be a nightmare trying to fight through the hordes of people and find what we want, but since everyone was so polite and nice it turned out to be an enjoyable experience.
