Zero stars. I went in for a routine D and C to help with fibroids and left not being to urinate with a severed ureter. I felt ignored by this office when I called multiple times after the procedure for help. Luckily found some amazing doctors at Cedars Sinai to repair the damage, but one kidney was left with estimated 50% loss of function. read more

Just had an annual exam with Dr. Lena and now a happy patient. The office is spacious (got a high ceiling) and clean. The staff greets you, checks your temperature at check in, and provides clean pens for you to fill out forms. Dr. Lena is personable and professional. Dr. Lena listened to me explaining my years of various health issues and treatments and she was able to take all of it into consideration when providing me with medical advice. Her demeanor was patient, warm, and non-judgmental. I think those qualities are so important when it comes to your gynecologist because I've had gynecologists before who try to shame you or make incorrect assumptions! I really appreciated her ability to make me feel safe, listen, provide helpful and appropriate feedback and also her thoroughness with my care! She really did everything in her power to get to the root causes of my problems and help investigate them or alleviate my concerns. She's also very knowledgeable and was able to suggest solutions I hadn't ever considered or been offered by other doctors before. This review is long overdue, but I am pregnant again and only one person came to mind that I trust with the medical care of myself and my baby. I cannot speak more highly about Dr. Lena's professional bedside manner, her warm and caring nature, and her ability to be personable and calm yet confident in her patient care. I had a few traumatic experiences before I found Dr. Lena as my provider. She took time to listen, reassure, and ask me what language I felt comfortable using to describe my trauma moving forward. WHOA! It's not often that you find a doctor who collaborates with you and treats you with a holistic approach. She took time to make sure I felt safe and empowered me through allowing me to have a voice in my care. She is thorough and explained each procedure and recommendation. When I came to her with a list of questions, she would answer them by sharing evidence-based practice as well as things that were being tried in the field. It was so refreshing to hear a doctor that is not afraid of exploring all avenues of treatment. It also showed me her dedication to her field as she continually shares best-practice and what is up and coming in the field. On my delivery date, I was hella' emotional as it was definitely a long road to get there. Dr. Lena was there for the delivery and to share in the joy and resiliency that led up to that moment. Dr. Lena is awesome! She was recommended to me by my doula friend. She was my OB for my second pregnancy, which was definitely stressful due to my first being premature. She was always super calm and had a plan to try to get me as close to full term as possible. Happy to say I made it to 39 weeks because of her recommendations! She is a great doctor, is not all business like some doctors that make you feel like you can't joke or be personable. She never made me feel like my questions were stupid, and I really like how she respected my decisions and never pressured me into something I didn't feel comfortable with. Last year, I went to Dr. Lena to get my Nexplanon removed. Recently I went in for an IUD insertion. Both were wonderful experiences! I am a grown adult with child-like symptoms - experiencing pain and whining incessantly about it being one of them. Dr. Lena was patient and soothing. Dr. Lena is a wonderful OB. She always made me felt cared for and heard when going to prenatal appts and put to rest my first time mom worries with patience and kindness. I was thankful she also was the doctor to deliver my son. Through the pushing process there was a point where his heart rate dropped significantly- and she did a wonderful job at cheering me on, keeping calm, and doing what was needed to get him here safely. Dr. Lena has been great. I have only seen her twice, & was refereed by my PCP for a test that showed abnormal results. First visit with her, I had a consultation about the process we would be going through. She was nice, straightforward -which I liked, & patient with such a calm manner. My second visit was to preform a biopsy, which she and her medical assistant were very gentle and sweet about. They engaged in conversation with me during the entire process, as I was kind of stressed about the whole situation. My results came back on MyChart portal the Medical Group has and can quickly and simply e-mail her and her assistant for any questions I had (which I did & got a response within a 15 minute time frame). Dr. Lena Nguyen is a really good doctor. She cares for her patients sincerely. She was my Ob during my high risk pregnancy and will b for the coming years. She is gentle and explains things thoroughly. When it came time to deliver my baby I knew things that dr. Lena had explained to me and it was easier on nurses to just confirm everything. I had my 1st pregnancy in Texas and this was my 2nd in California. I always feel and felt Us Californians get cheated in health care. My care was amazing in Texas from dr to hospital, when I found dr Lena I felt finally something close to the health care I had there. She genuinely cares for her patients and makes them feel important. I had to b monitored a lot and she helped me through it from my phone calls to emails. I recommend her for all ur ob needs!!! Great patient experience! From setting up my initial bilateral salpingectomy consultation through surgery aftercare, I was very pleased with Dr. Lena Nguyen's work. She treats patients with respect, and I would highly recommend her. Additionally, her surgery coordinator was very helpful and extremely responsive throughout the process. Two nurses (one during my initial consultation and one on the day of my surgery) said inappropriate things to me (refusing to believe I had never had an abortion because of my desire to not have children, and suggesting my partner would leave me for a woman who wanted children, respectively); however, these comments were made without any other medical staff around, and I don't think these two particular nurses should reflect on Dr. Lena or any of the other staff. read more

At first, I was hesitant because Dr. Lena is my age and I was looking for someone with more experience for the delivery of my first child, but I'm glad we stuck with her. She truly does care about her patients and their babies. She performed my c-section with a nicely healed and minimal scar. Additionally, she did the follow-up on my ectopic pregnancy and was generous in maximizing my disability time off. The only thing I would say is if you have appointments with her - make sure you write down your questions! Doctors tend to be busy and sometimes don't give you complete information unless you ask - come prepared and you'll be a-ok. :] read more

Dr. Lena was absolutely God sent. She was my OB while pregnant and I would recommend her to anyone who can have her as a doctor. She always allowed me to ask a million questions and never made me feel rushed or that my questions were stupid. I was originally going to have a planned Csection, since my first was a C. Two weeks before my planned C I decided to change my mind and let nature take its course. Her response, "This is your pregnancy. You just tell me what you want and I will do my best to accommodate your wishes". I thought she would be upset or seem frustrated with me, but that was further from the truth. At delivery things went anything but planned. When my epidural did not work, Dr. Lena ended up being the best birthing coach I could have asked for. At one point she made me stop, look her in the eyes, and FOCUS! Dr. Lena was everything I could have asked for in a doctor. read more

Excellent Doctor for my Myomectomy surgery. I found out I had a fibroid shortly after my blood count dropped severely. I was then hospitalized and Dr. Nguyen visited me in the hospital, as she was referred to me by my primary Doctor. She is very knowledgeable and went over the different choices for removing the fibroid. I had my surgery on May 2 and I am now fully recovered with minimal scaring. I feel great and so thankful my husband and I decided to go with Dr. Lena Nguyen. read more

I work as a PA in the operating room at orange coast memorial and when it came time for me to find an OB i asked some nurses i work with and most recommended the women's health center. One nurse in particular recommended Dr.Lena so i chose her as my OB. Much to my surprise when i met her for my first appointment we realized we knew each other! I cannot say enough about Dr. Lena! She is always friendly, professional, and makes me feel comfortable when talking about my health. I started seeing Dr Lena last year about half way during my pregnancy. Since she had not been there through the first trimester, she went above and beyond to make sure all my information was sent over from my other doctors office and that the lab work was on track for a healthy pregnancy. I always felt like I was being listened to and that I could ask any question no matter how "silly" I thought it was. Unfortunately since I delivered my baby boy on a holiday, she was unable to be there for the deliver. However, the follow up doctor from the same facility she worked at did an amazing job. I was extremely happy with my delivery and the care the other doctor provided me. Now postpartum, Dr Lena still does an incredible job. She is the only doctor I recommend! read more

It's only right that I give Dr. Lena a second review as she just delivered my second baby. I seriously can't speak any more highly of Dr. Lena than I already do. Thankfully I have very easy pregnancies and deliveries, but I don't think I could or would want to do it without Dr. Lena. To find a doctor who is as calm, cool and collected as she is... it's probably impossible. She makes you feel so comfortable and taken care of. This delivery my baby needed some assistance so she had to use the vacuum. She saw my eyes get super big, as I didn't know if I should be worried or not. And she looks at me and said don't worry your baby is perfectly fine, just needs a little help. And I just appreciate so much that she takes the time to reassure you instead of ignoring the freak out and just doing what she has to do. I love that she gives hugs at the end congratulating you. Every time I recommend her to someone I always tell them she is legit someone I would be friends with (if doctors and patients could be friends I'd be all about it haha) and I just think that is something super special and amazing. So needless to say, if I'm lucky enough to be pregnant a few more times, Dr. Lena is my girl and I will use her forever! I had a terrifying experience with my first child. Had one of those doctors that would rather cut you open than miss her vacation. Thus, I changed doctors for my second child and spent over a year researching a doctor. I finally ended up at the Women's Health Center. I would have to say I am not a huge fan of the doctor's staff; they were disorganized and didn't seem to ever really know what was going on with my treatment.... With that said, my experience with Dr. Lena Nguyen was phenomenal. I would deal with any staff to get treated by her. She's newer to the practice, August 2015. Because she's a newer MD she was very easy to get appointments scheduled and I had no wait times. She is very intelligent and makes you feel like she truly cares about your well being. She is not in a hurry to get your appointment over with. I had my baby on a Saturday and she came in to deliver me even though she was not on call. She knew my first experience was bad and wanted to make sure she was there for me with my second one. My second birthing experience was so good, I thought about having a third baby.... then I realized that's just crazy :-) I really appreciate the care she provided and would recommend her to any of my family and friends. read more
