The customer portal is almost impossible to use. I had to call customer support 2 times to make sure they weren't going to keep charging me after I paid off my loan early. Both times they said that the full payment would have been taken out even though I paid my loan off in full and I had to fight with them on that. I paid off my loan on November 16th 2024 but the credit bureau has not been updated since December 19th 2023. It has been saying 15% paid off since then and has been effecting my credit score. read more

I borrowed from this company in 2021 and paid off the loan early on November 13, 2023 by paying the remaining amount that they indicated online. I have documentation from their online portal stating that the account was "closed" on November 13, 2023. On November 17, 2023, they called AGAIN stating that I still owed $12.42, Their online portal is virtually USELESS! It hasn't displayed the correct amount owed for the past 3 months. My payments have been made, but they consistently stated that I hadn't paid enough. I now have confirmation (again) that my account is paid in full, but I'm really just waiting for the next call. I will not pay another dime to this company and seek legal action if I get another call. I want them to send me a confirmation in writing that this has been paid in full... This bank is a horrible lender the intrest rate I was given was predatory, I had above 700 credit score the origination fee was high the app or contact was very difficult ro read and I wasn't aware of the amount of cost I started sending back all the money asap within a month they refused to work with me at all outnof 6400 dollars I now owe 800 Inwas never able to use the funds for the original purpose. I was railroaded into getting a loan from this company through my dental office for an emergency, it was sold as a interest free loan with low monthly payment. 4 months later I learn less then half of my monthly payments are actually going to my principle, and my payments are increasing every month. When I first signed up for the loan they required an account for auto payments but my particular debit card was not excepted because it was prepaid even though it's connected directly to my payroll and I receive direct deposit 2x a month. Instead they excepted a different prepaid card I never even use so I have to make sure I transfer funds every month to cover my payment. So I have it set up to automatically transfer the amount room my back to the card, but apparently my payment fluctuates so I never know the correct amount. It's just a big scam for them to get more money out of you read more

Took $798 out of our bank account on a CLOSED, PAID OFF account. Keep getting told we will get our money crack at different times. First, 7-10 days. Now not until 4/15. I highly recommend finding a different source of funding. They are shady AF. I will not use them again. They make it very hard to pay off your 0% interest loan early so they can then charge you 27% interest. You can't track your remaining balance. You have to call them! You have to call to pay off the final balance. You have to call to change your Autopay method. You can add accounts but you can't remove them without calling! Everything on the website is to make it as difficult as possible in hopes you miss a payment or don't close your loan on time. read more

Terrible! Was recommended by Credit Karma (bad on you credit karma!). Interest rates are too high, but the dishonesty got me the most. Was thinking about a 36 month loan at for 15k. Blake discussed with me a loan for the full 16.5k I was in debt.. but by the time he sent me the contract, he'd upped to payback amount and number of payments to 39, which would cost me another 1845. Called him out on it.. 'deny, deny, deny'. Kept trying to flip back and forth between monthly and bi-monthly payments, but (hello), the overall math is not that hard. Really dishonest company!! In case you're interested in the numbers: Advertised offer to me (that I took a picture of) 558/month for 15k for 36 months we discussed doing the addition up to 16.5k for 615 for 36 months.. made sense to me... If you take 10% or 15000 gives you 1500 together 16500 and 10% more of 558=615 same period when he sent me the contract it was for -39- installments of 615 (costing me an extra three months payments) or doing the 36 payments at 667- WTF? - on what planet is he doing math?? - his mail response is below.. Blakes response (completely out of alignment with their promised amount)---39 installments of $615.39 or 36 installments of $667.04 - whichever is best for you. Most bi-weekly clients have preferred the every 4 week option --- After I called him out, he kept calling me, saying I was confused.. switching back and forth to number of installment options. Sad if people actually fall for this, and shame on them for the blatant scam. I've reported them to the BBB, and hope more will do the same. read more

Misleading and won't provide you the correct information. They don't provide monthly statement for payment even you requested many times. When you have no choice, you have to use online payment service (ACH), but is 99.9% of time the online payment is not working. If you miss your payment due to the horrible customer service then you will paying a sky high interest for them. I've been tracing them weeks and all I get is, please call this number and we can help you with the ACH payment. Don't bother. Credit Karma recommended this place based on my being "prequalified" which we all know is just a hook. A clever one indeed. Immediately I was given several loan choices and in seconds received a phone call. I attempted to follow the steps in CK stopping when they asked me for my username and password to my bank. That's when I stopped. The loan rep, Steve Busso, was very eager to help me until clearly he realized I was not going to be approved disappearing from the face of the earth. No return calls, no emails no nothing. I finally received an email with their decision. Horrible customer service. Stay away from these people, you are nothing with them. Have told them every time this is a business and to remove our number, but yet they still call at least twice a week if not more times. I heard of Lending point in Credit Karma as a recommended lender . before filling up an application I called the company to get some information about a personal loan . I've been told that I should qualify my eqquifax is 750 and Experian is 680 with an annual income of over $100000 . I filled up the application and than I was contacted by Donald Barber to finish up the process . I sent him my last 3 Bank statement , Tax documents , Draft check , and Signed up on the 3rd party app they use for Bank verification . After not hearing back after couple days I called customer service to be told my application was denied because they could not verify my bank info . I use a Major bank so that couldn't be possible . I Emailed Donald , he request that I need to click in the 3 party app link he sent via email again to verify my banking information which I did for the 3rd time and that was the last time I heard from him . I sent an Email following up asking for updates but he never replied . Just poor customer service that caused me a hard inquiry on my credit . read more

Do not get a loan from LendingPoint, they are very misleading. My payments were supposed to come out the second Friday of each month. When I spoke to their rep. C J, (those are his initials) I told him that I did not want the payments coming out of my checking account the 1st of the month because that's when my rent payments come out. The first 2 payments came out the second week of the month, now they are taking the payments when they want to. I emailed them regarding this and they still have not responded, all they want is to get you to get the loan and after that, they don't care about you. I am so disappointed in this company, I would not recommend anyone to get a loan from them. Their rates are super duper high! I applied through Lending Tree and only selected one financial institution--not Lending Point. The next day I get a phone call from Lending Point while I'm driving. I make the point that I'm driving and may not be the best time to talk, they push through. I found out later that Lending Tree initiated this call, but connected me to Lending Point. These names are way too similar. I think I am talking to the institution I chose--not Lending Point because I was not expecting to hear from anyone else. I explain to the salesperson Jordan, that it's the last week of school with exams and I just moved. He goes over everything while I'm driving. Over the next three days, I got many emails asking for documents to approve the loan. I still think I'm talking to my preferred institution--not Lending Point. Meanwhile, my preferred institution is emailing me for documents and I'm kinda annoyed about being asked twice for stuff. They don't make phone calls, just online. And then I end up with twice the loan amount I wanted in--one at 12% APR (my chosen institute) and one at 28% APR (Lending Point). I try to call LP and the salesperson I talk to before the money actually hits my account, who suddenly isn't available for two days. I quickly paid back the amount when it was deposited into my account by LP (less than 24 hours) but currently am being made to pay a $400 fee (up to $412 now)--for being easy prey. I will not use Lending Tree again AND I will definitely not be using Lending Point for anything. This seems predatory--don't call people who don't ask for it, don't be overly aggressive with your sales pitch, don't try to sympathize with a public school teacher and take advantage of him, and don't dodge the customer once they are on to what's happening. I clicked Lending TREE and their debt consolidation loan offer ($25,000, 48 mo). The debt consolidation loan said 26.54% but the payments were to be $785 which is over $37,000 which is 50%! So which is it, 26.54% of 50%? I kept going. Anyway, I get contacted by Joseph at Lending POINT, but I thought I was dealing with Lending TREE... I jumped through all the hoops, submitted my documents, he kept telling me all was good, and that he'd have my contract for me by the end of the day... Well, at 9:05 pm that night, I got a form letter rejecting me, saying they couldn't give me my loan because, get this: my "balances are too high"! Really??? I KNOW THEY ARE, HENCE, THE NEED FOR A DEBT CONSOLIDATION LOAN!! I would have zero balances once paid off with the debt consolidation loan, and one payment to make, streamlining my life!! I did everything they asked of me. My credit score is Fair (would be excellent if my balances were low!)... I make enough money. Who in the world ever would even need a debt consolidation loan if their balances are already LOW????? So my experience with Lending Point has been absolutely utterly terrible! I feel totally lied to! Joseph said I had the loan. He was sending me my contract. He lied! And how did Lending Point end up being who talked to me when I applied through Lending Tree??? ARE THEY THE SAME COMPANY??? Are they doing a "bait and switch" tactic on the public??? This is awful what Lending Tree and Lending Point are doing collectively... And they need to be exposed! It would've been professional if Joseph had said: "You applied with Lending Tree and they forwarded your application to us, as we are affiliated with them."
