You are basically 4ft from house to neighbors fence we share. You can hear everyone and their conversations if the windows are open or outside in yard or front...noise carried throughout...each to its own...this is not a place I want to raise a family or live...but I am here I just how to deal with it...

For my Danville home - I had hideous colored concrete floor for the Italian/Mediterranean home. I upgraded/renovated and had Enrique's Tile install travertine. I love marble but the maintenance is just too much (3 teenagers and 2 cats) unlike the travertine. Still beautiful, natural stone but less maintenance. I will gladly recommend Enrique's Tile; will use again for future projects.

We have had terrible vibrations from walls/ceiling whenever they walk upstairs. First wall mirrors vibrate and recently a fire sprinkler fell off due to vibration and debris coming off as well. We asked many times for Shea Homes to come out and do a test/inspect to see if there's anything to remedy/improve this issue. No action is what they decide to do. I would not buy from Shea Homes ever again!

The only thing that is frustrating is the quality work of the garage, understand that it is an unfinished garage but there is a difference between unfinished and bad work. What we have is "bad work, but to code," this includes uneven walls, bad patch jobs, and tape lines that cannot be covered with just paint. I hired a contractor that did an even worse job trying to cover it up. If you are buying a Shea home and plan to eventually finish the garage then pay Shea to do it and don't make the same mistake we did. When we did the final walk through we tried to add the upgrade to the garage but it was too late. What was supposed to be an easy fix turned into a nightmare and Shea won't fix it.

They did the work in record time and did such a good job cleaning up after themselves that I almost did not notice they had been there (other than everything looked brand new and freshly painted!) Simon has a masters degree in civil engineering, unlike most of the contractors that I have worked with in the past, and their estimation was very professional and accurate. When they came in on budget, we were thrilled. We are a small 14-owner office condo association, so that was much appreciated! I am sure they can handle very large commercial projects, but we were glad to have their capable group on our smaller project.

When you pay a premium you also expect those finishes to be done correctly and in a timely manner. I have been waiting for nearly a year to get certain flaws corrected since taking possession of the home and am still waiting. They rushed to get the home ready so they could get it off their books by the end of the year and now we are stuck with the consequences. I have taken time off and rearranged my schedule in order to be present for the workers who are scheduled to arrive and no one ever shows up. This is unbelievably frustrating. So be aware, if you are okay with the house as is when buying Toll Brothers great. But be prepared to fight for any corrections that need to be done. And on a side note, we just received a letter that their mortgage arm was hacked and all of our information stolen. I suspect a class action lawsuit is in the near future for them.

Finally was rushed by Toll Brothers in Morgan hill to close purchase ASAP…read more I rushed by paying cash and closed fast. The only problem was escrow called agent and told them the home has closed and to release the Keys to buyer. IT WAS 3:PM AT I HAVE BEEN WAITING NEAR BY TO PICK THEM UP AND WAS TOLD WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW DUE TO HAVE OFFSIT MEETING. I was told one day earlier someone would give the keys from the construction site if the sales agent was out. I left with no keys. I had been told many lies for everyone from sales, construction and corporate during my purchase experience.
