She requested names and said she'd draw up a contract and send to me via email. A few days passed and I followed up again as I hadn't heard back or received the contract. She said she was sick and would get the contract to me. She reassured me not to worry because she had my date on the calendar. 2 additional days passed and I sent Brooke a text letting her know we moved up the wedding an hour and she confirmed it wasn't an issue. During this time I'm following Brooke's work on social media excited for her to shoot my daughter's wedding. 2 weeks went by and still no contract and now it's the day before the wedding. I sent Brooke a text letting her know I was looking forward to meeting her. At that time she replied saying she had covid and could not shoot the wedding. We are not locals, we flew in from Texas and were now left without photographer 24 hours before the wedding. I am not really a shy person, but this is a very personal and open shoot. My mother told me I was being crazy. The next morning, I met Christina at her studio. It is beautiful. It is open and has all different kinds of areas with lighting and seating. I got my hair and makeup done. WOW!!!! I looked incredible! Sitting there getting the hair/makeup done and chatting with the stylist and Christina relaxed me a bit. After--we went through clothing options. She helped me with what would look good, etc. Once the shoot started, my nerves came back. I felt very exposed and vulnerable. However, Christina made the entire shoot so relaxed and fun. She hyped me up the whole time and I began to feel good about myself and comfortable in the process. At the reveal, I was quite literally shocked. I didnt even recognize myself.
