I reached out to a bunch of photographers via Yelp, including Gold Sun Studios. Allison responded immediately and when she explained her pricing model ($100 for 15 photos) I immediately asked what the catch was because I've hired several professional photographers in Chicago and that's by far the most affordable pricing I've seen. Not to mention her photos on Yelp and her website were really good! When she promised me there was no catch I booked Allison for an hour long sunset session on the beach of our hotel. She was very responsive leading up to the session and arrived right on time. And for once I even got my kids somewhere on time too- vacation agrees with us! We took a few photos of the entire family and then she ended up taking a bunch of candids of everyone. My kids were having a blast playing in the sand and getting wet; it was definitely one of the more relaxing and fun photo shoots we've done. The very next day (speedy!) I had all unedited photos in my inbox. I think narrowed it down to my 15 favorites and she returned the edited versions the very next day. And they perfectly documented this special trip/birthday. We really liked Sarasota so think we'll make our way back at some point and I would definitely call Allison again. in fact, I've already recommended her to everyone I know taking vacations there and/or are lucky enough to live in the area.

We love the quality and the number of pictures she took both times. Both locations were outdoors and we had so much fun finding different areas to choose. Our wedding itself was outstanding! The sheer number of pictures they took was amazing. Guests loved the photo op staging area and my husband and I loved all of the pictures. Her skill set includes image set up, proper lighting, images that tell a story, taking charge of large group photos with incredible tact, and looking for the small details that make a good image even better. She requires initial input from the client, and once she understands the priorities, Richel can work independently with little to no supervision. Because I called her out she lowered price to $406.04 but then proceeded to raise the price on the others. She quoted 75.00 each but when invoiced I was charged 84.00 Each. Again you can buy these yourself online at Bay Photo for 22.00 each. But Maria will not release your pictures to you! It's insane! I have found out since then that there are many amazing photographers in Clearwater Florida who do photos at Honeymoon Island and their price of $375.00-450.00 INCLUDES ALL YOUR HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGES!!!!!
