Well what can you say about a business that takes a 3500.00 deposit before starting work, over…read moreinflates costs for travel time, materials needed for the job and time required to do the job, by staggering amounts, won't provide receipts for purchases or itemized labour amounts on estimates, upscales equipment without permission and then....will not return deposit after being fired. So for 3500.00 we had the pleasure of his company for four hours, met the subcontractors he hired and have 4 joist braces moved...that's it. Oh, told us "perhaps there is a lesson in this for you" while packing up...yes, sir, you are right. Lesson learned: don't hire this company! Hope others benefit from our mistake.

Horrible! We tried to support our local economy. Gave these guys a shot. 2+ weeks to do a 12 hour…read morejob. And we had to fire Travis's ass because he wouldn't show up, expected us to pay him to eat his lunch, couldn't figure out how to wire a simple 3 wire well pump. 3.5 HOURS to finally figure it out...with my help finally. How this company stays in business is beyond me. Wouldn't follow customer specs, overcharged MAJORLY on the Invoice (after we FIRED his sorry ass) , overcharged on travel charges, and put us 2 weeks behind on our project. It's hard to believe that Travis calls himself a *journeyman*. When he did finally show up, he'd stroll in at 10:20 or 10:35 AM...and expect to be paid for starting at 10 AM! Had to hire a REPUTABLE company to correct all of Travis's DEFICIENCIES. Numerous times he said he'd show up (and we planned accordingly), and he wouldn't show, nor even phone to let us know. Overcharged on labor rate ($60/hr for a 2nd year APPRENTICE??????) This company has a reputation. We should have heeded our local peoples advice. We will be filing a Small Claims Court lawsuit against these Jokers if they don't want to charge for the work they ACTUALLY did. We had no problem paying the invoice. But going over it, we found over $1200 in overcharges. Travis said "I think you will find it fair". HUH?????? I AM TALKING TO YOU RIGHT NOW, AND LETTING YOU KNOW YOU SCREWED US OVER! To me...that is the definition of letting you know that you are not fair in your billing. He scurried away like a Snake. Got a feeling we'll be seeing him in Court. I welcome the opportunity to let a Judge decide. Will update this review to let you know how this turns out. I strongly urge anyone that is thinking of hiring Travis (Smile and Wave Combustion) out of Kyle,Saskatchewan...is DON'T!!!!! Numerous people can't be wrong!
