Horrible experience with manager 2 years in a row. Pushy when sharing concerns. Told me it was the last week of December and she would not be able to help me on a return. SHE didn't want to lose her commission. She needs to be fired. * I bought a pair of Tiffany glasses. The sales person said I could save money by just getting regular lenses and not the trifocals if I use bifocals for close reading. That's what I ordered when they came in. It was very difficult to see. So somehow the manager jumps in and writes down the re-order for my Tiffany glasses with a child focal. It was buy one get one half off. So she recommended it and I found another pair of Gucci glasses. When I went to pay, my bill was $1395. I was being hurried and left the store. I drove home and when I got home, I called back and said I want to cancel one of the pairs of the glasses that was too much money. They said I'm sorry we can't do that. I said I was there 10 minutes ago no I could not do that. The sales person said when they come in just decide which one you want and will send the other one back. OK that sounded good so I get a text that classes are in. I go to the store and only the tip new ones are in. Let's just say it was October 2 two weeks go by and I call about my Gucci glasses and they said they're not in they're not sure what happened to the order, but they were going to send it OK I can go for that so they're fine with him in about four weeks from when I originally ordered them and they had the wrong frame. So they had to send that back in order the corrupt ones now we're into November so they come in now I have Tiffany & Gucci glasses and I said I decided on these the Gucci ones so the Manager comes over from the across the one I said I'll handle this. So he sat down and have the glasses and told her which ones I wanted and she said you can't return this because it's greater than 30 days. I said it wasn't my fault. 1-the Gucci ones were NEVER ordered by the rude manager. It was HER ERROR. 2. The glasses finally came in and they are a completely different pair of frames. ONCE again NOT my error! Sonia weeks are going by because of their errors. 3. I finally got them after several weeks, waiting patiently and then deciding on a cheap pair and the nasty managers that it's over 30 days. YOU CANT RETURN THEM. I said it was not my fault! She was dismissive and sure that it was the end of the year and she would see what she could do and she would call me NEVER HEARD FROM HER. I WANT CORPORATE TO TAKE ONE PAIR BACK AND REFUND ME 1/2 of the bill. You owe me $695.00 I will contact the FCC. read more

I can't begin to express my disappointment with my recent experiences at LensCrafters in Exton, Pa on Main Street. In June/July of 2024, I initially purchased my glasses, which were supposed to include transition lenses. However, when I received them and I left the store, I quickly began to realize that my glasses were not transitioning. I immediately contacted the store and was told that I never ordered them with transitioning lenses. After a heated discussion, they agreed to remake the glasses with the transition lenses. They instructed me to wear the incorrect pair that I just picked up until the new pair was ready. One week later, I picked up the new pair and DROPPED OFF the pair that were incorrectly made. Two weeks ago, I realized that the glasses (13 months old) are no longer transitioning. I decided to bring them back to LensCrafters to be examined and was told the following, it is impossible for lenses to "lose" transition capabilities (which is false) and that the pair I brought in were NEVER made with transition lenses. Here is how Ruthanne, the manager at the Exton store approached me. She sat down and said " Let me tell you what I think is happening. I think you have the first pair and are just a bit confused as to what pair you are putting on your face." Essentially, Ruthanne, is claiming that I never returned the original pair and am using the wrong pair. I am extremely dissatisfied with this explanation! Her accusations only imply the following: 1. Me lying about returning the incorrect pair. There was no reason for me to keep them! 2. I'm a moron, old and senile, none of which I am! 3. The store is incompetent and never marked the record to reflect that the new pair were picked up and the incorrect pair were returned. 4. Something went wrong when making the replacement pair. In any event, covering up their own mistake and passing the blame to a loyal, valued customer of 23+ years is absolutely unacceptable! I will no longer be seeing the ophthalmologist within LensCrafters or purchasing new eyewear from them. It is now Monday, 8/18, I called the store to obtain my records on Thursday, 8/14 and I was told that they can only email me my records from last year but nothing beyond that. I was told I would receive the records by end of day. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THOSE RECORDS! I also filed a complaint with the Corporate office on 8/12, was told I would hear back within 5 days, I HAVE HEARD NOTHING! read more

6 weeks to get replacement lenses, way to long. Spoke with an assistant and was told only the manager knew what was going on and why they had canceled and re-ordered my glasses. Requested a call back from the manager, Didn't happen. I had to call and was told that i had already spoken with the assistant and was given all the info i needed, and she didn't understand the disconnect. I had been seeing Dr. Weber for a long time and all was good. When he left Dr. S Hakki took over and she told me that whatever he had prescribed was wrong. The new prescription she wrote did not allow me to read. I went back 3 times, but she insisted that I saw good enough. I left the glasses there and asked to see another doctor. LensCrafters however maintained that I had taken the glasses home and that there was nothing to change. I called 6 times to talk to the manager to clear up the issue, but nobody ever called me back. So 1. they don't know how to get a working prescription; 2 they misplace the glasses that are there; 3. the manager doesn't think it is her/his job to talk to a customer about issued. Amazing place with amazing staff!!! I presented a challenge to Rachel and Imraan when I entered the store at Exton on Main. I had a complication with eye surgery and needed advice and help with glasses. They certainly were up to the task and couldn't have been kinder, more professional, and knowledgeable. They came up with the perfect solution that made it easier for me to function with glasses again and I can't say enough about their efforts, genuine care, and thoughtful assistance. My deepest gratitude to them for their high standards in doing a wonderful job for Lens Crafters! They should be cloned. It is because of them that I highly recommend this store and will continue to purchase my glasses there as well. I also want to thank the lab for the great work done with my lenses! Lens crafters gets a 0 review. My wife tried 2 pairs of glasses this company made. Neither were correct for her prescription. The people who sold her the glasses told her that she could return the glasses if they were not satisfactory within 30 days. She did this the first time- however, when the second pair did not work for her ( and she returned within 30 days) , they said they were not able to help her / or provide a store credit. I sent an email to the Better Business Bureau- and had several emails. The sales people at this site told my wife she had 30 days to return the glasses and ultimately found out that that was incorrect. The company Luxotica would not honor a credit for the 500 dollar glasses - but said they would try and provide another pair of glasses. At this point we were done with this company and went to a doctor and optician - in Paoli - they provided my wife with a pair of glasses that was perfect the first time! We found out that in Pa - opticians can be trained in house/ they do not need to be state licensed or certified. NJ requires state certification for opticians. So- do yourselves a favor and never go to this inferior company. Unless you want inferior service / quality and uncertified opticians. About a month ago, I went into Lenscrafters in the Exton Mall to simply get my glasses adjusted. The manager could not have been more amazing. On her own she replaced the nose pieces, did a thorough cleaning and made both my pairs of glasses look brand new again. All with a smile and excitement for helping her customers! read more

Staff is great - responsive, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I have no idea why 2 pair of Ray Bans can't be processed in the same timeline. I was told the the glasses would be available for pick up in 7-10 days. Sun glasses came in on the 10th day and 16 days later I am still waiting for my other pair. There is no incentive to return to the dying Exton Mall, much less to a company that has no interest in competing in this market. read more

Totally disappointed with the optical department. First pair of glasses were done incorrectly, the worker informed me to get a bigger lens. Chose a bigger frame and two weeks later no glasses and the COVID excuse. One message I received glasses are being processed and would be ready in a few days. Next message a 7 to 10 day turnaround turned into 10 to 14 days. 14 days later the lenses are on back order. I will not have my glasses made a lenscrafters again and would be looking for a different optician. read more

The manager of the store was extremely helpful, she was training a new employee and did an amazing job. This is the first time using Lens Crafters but it won't be the last. When I came to pick up my glasses the customers not only filled the store but were waiting in the mall. The manager and staff handled it with ease, (no easy task) and gave everyone I saw exceptional service. Including the weird old woman who was looking for nose pads for glasses she didn't even buy there. I complain easily but have to give credit where credit is due, they did a great job. read more

Over the weekend, our darling new puppy decided to use my glasses as a new chew toy, leaving me in a predicament for the work week. I didn't have a backup pair, and my regular optometrist was not open on Sundays. So I elected to pay out-of-pocket and go to Lenscrafters to get contacts. The eye exam was routine enough, although I think telling you about a new eye scanner they have in the midst of the exam, and that its an extra $40 to use is unnecessary. The technician getting my script and using an automated machine was nice enough, but had problems getting my one eye's script. The optometrist on duty was also very good, and probably saved this from being a one-star review. My problems started after I left. The contacts I had were very blurry, and while from previous experience I know you need to give them time, they were to the point that I didn't think the script was right. After trying another set of lenses, I was told I couldn't be seen again until the following Sunday (my follow-up appointment). That would have left me being unable to see for a week. Needless to say, I ended up having a second exam at my optometrist's office to find that the Rx was a bit off. Received trial lenses from him, and now I can see again. read more

Normally when you think of Lenscrafters, you don't think of one of those snazzy lens boutiques. That is exactly what this place is. They offer a huge selection of moderately priced designer frames. D&G , Burberry, Prada, and the old standby, Vogue just to name a few available brands. What makes this place shine is the staff. They are incredibly knowledgeable as well as handy with all kinds of adjustments. They all seem to know exactly how to fix them so they don't hurt, pinch, slide or rub. I recently got Lasik surgery (See review for Kremer in K of P) and needed to get my regular lenses put back in my prescription sunglasses - so I didn't have to wear the dorky ones they give you at Kremer's. This was a three second - pop, pop and done. They even cleaned them for me. The kicker - I didn't buy the sunglasses there. I wasn't trying to pull one over on them either, they just knew that my family were good customers with day-to-day glasses. You can't go wrong getting glasses here. read more

I'm shopping around for new frames and will have to get updated prescription lens (and exam, of course). For me finding sizes that fit my face is difficult. I'm currently wearing and have been for years, a size 42.. most places just don't carry frames that small. Lens Crafters didn't either, but according to Will, the gentleman that helped me size can vary by brand. So, to work I went trying on different sizes mostly 45-46, which were the smallest I could find. I found about 4 frames that I would consider. Frames were mostly stylish and or trendy, many being world recognized designers such as Oakley, Vogue, Polo Ralph Lauren, Guess, Ray Band, etc. The Polo Ralph Lauren frame I like is black and red with thicker tops and thinner bottoms of the frame, priced at $119.95. The Easytwist black wire frames are priced at $129.95. The Occhiolini black wire frames were priced at $89.95 and the Ray Band, Jr. plastic black ones also at $89.95. I found the frames to be quite expensive. Comparing the exam to that of America's Best, Wal-mart, etc.. it is also quite pricey at $99, but compared to an optometrist reasonable.. seeing a family optometrist can run you upwards of $125-150 for a full rigorous eye exam and screening for various ailments or issues. However, obviously seeing an optometrist would be better since you'd be getting a full exam not just one specifically for prescription glasses to buy a pair of glasses at their store. I'm not saying the quality of the exam would suffer or that it's not a sufficient one, but it doesn't screen for everything.. it's not an eye doctor that you would consult with on other issues outside of getting prescriptions or visit on other occasions. Pricing of 1 pair of glasses - frames, prescription lens, possibly with transition and a second pair of frames as sunglasses with polarized prescription would run roughly $562.. I compared this with America's Best at $405 with all of the bells and whistles.. it will come down to style.. However also remember, which I was shocked to learn- glasses here have a 30 day no questions asked warranty. If you want a full year warranty, you must pay $35 and then when you come in for the repair pay an additional $50 copay. I thought that THAT was ridiculous. At America's Best, you automatically get a one year warranty.. have an issue in that year, stop in and get the issue resolved! I swear i'm not a spokesperson for America's Best, but their pricing is much more reasonable and fair. Pros of the store- Will and the lady were friendly and helpful. I was able to put several pairs of glasses on hold for a few days. Very stylish and trendy selection of frames. Prescription lens are made in house and are ready to take home within an HOUR! Cons of the store- Price Will I be returning? Most likely, I really like the style.. but I will continue shopping around and comparing prices before jumping into a decision. After all it is my face and my look that will be changing! The look of my face of my selfies will be changing! read more

Ok, so I've been in a pickle over the last few days. Lost my glasses while on vacation, really was in a pinch to get new ones FAST. I decided to go here since I'm away from home for school, and I know LensCrafters back home is speedy and reliable. I first called to ask for their fax number to get my home LensCrafters to send my prescription in to the Exton store; the receptionist on the phone was friendly and super helpful! When I got into the actual store, I was promptly greeted by an optician named Barbara. She made me feel like I was the only one in the whole store, even though they were visibly busy. She went out of her way to get me as much of a discount as possible, checking my insurance cards and running my triple A card through as well to make sure she left no stone unturned to help me out. My glasses were done an hour later and they fit perfectly. I will definitely come back to this location! Wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable staff & great experience. read more

They are a rip off. Only needed new lenses as I just bought new glasses from them 6 mos ago. Tried to charge me $500+ JUST for lenses. BUT only $300+ if I purchased new lenses AND frames. My first appointment back to LensCrafters (Exton Mall, PA) and I got quite the surprise! Since the store was opening for the first time since COVID-19, I had made an appointment for an eye exam and for new glasses. I got there about ten minutes earlier than my appointment and waited outside for someone to allow me in the store. At precisely 11:00 AM, Associate "Monica" opened the door for me to get in. I noticed a woman and what looked to be her daughter were also waiting to get in. Monica very politely mentioned to the woman that they were only allowing customers with an appointment and if she didn't mind, would she like to schedule one for later since they were currently booked. The woman got very upset and angry at Monica and very loudly called her a "b**ch", and stormed off. Monica then very politely acknowledged her and went back in the store. I was amazed at Monica's coolness. I don't think I could have been this pleasant if someone said that to me. This was not my first time at this LensCrafters, and I've been helped by Monica before. She is the most patient person ever! She always makes sure the customer(s) are happy before they finalize any order. In fact the entire store's personnel have always been very helpful. Obviously, the training for LensCrafters' associates is right on point and came through nicely today. Great Job! read more

Have used this store multiple times because of Lens Crafters technology. However, every time I come in I am reminded of the exasperating experiences of the past and present here at the Exton store. You could grow old and die before it is your turn to be served. And when you return after an hour to retrieve your glasses you again wait an exuberant amount of time only to be told it be an additional 5 to 10 minutes. After another half hour (and be sure not to leave as you'll again be at the end of the line) you again get told just a few minutes. Still sitting here so I can't actually say how long the entire process will take. read more

I was thrilled with the service I received today and the excellent quality of the glasses I purchased. The previous few times I purchased glasses I had gone to a different place that offers low-cost glasses. I went to LensCrafters today solely because I needed glasses right away. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the quality was far superior to what I was getting elsewhere. The lenses are excellent and noticeably better when driving at night, and my vision through the new prescription lenses was extremely sharp. I have the eyes of an eagle! Lol :) read more

Can I give Zero stars? This place has a great selection of frames. That's what drew us in. The optician seemed genuinely helpful and accurate. I needed an exam for glasses and that is exactly what I asked for and got. Then the optician gave me a new pair of contacts to try. The receptionist had an attitude problem and was quite rude when it came to processing insurance information - she tried to charge me for 2 exams - 1 for glasses, 1 for contacts. When I reminded her I was there for glasses, she insisted that I give back the "free" pair of contacts the optician had just given me. So I did! The rest of the staff just looked on in shock as she was quite rude! The optician did not see her treatment of me. I'd never go back to that place. read more

We were on our way to my son's college (9 hours trip from NYS to Pittsburgh, PA) when we realized that his glasses were bent. No way to go back home to fix them, with a perspective of starting a freshmen year at college (very far from home) with damaged glasses. I was very upset. We stopped at Lenscrafters at Exton trying to figure out if something even could be done. Originally, glasses were made at Pearl Vision. The manager was very nice and helpful, understood our situation and glasses were fixed within two minutes! Great job! Very grateful to all team! read more

Awful! I showed up on time for my appointment but I had to wait over an hour. I think an hour is ridiculous. They have tons of empty appointment slots but The wait when you arrive is so long. Shows a clear lack of efficiency and customer service. Also the cost of contact lens and glasses are much more expensive than places like Sams club. read more

Very awful experience, went 5 mins before appointment time and had to wait more than 1 hour. People are not professional at all. When I ask a question to them they will not properly answer and they dont know what to answer. Will never go there again and would recommend save for others too.
