I learned that I have a minor astigmatism, and he was really helpful in explaining what that means and how it could affect my vision. He talked to me about options for eyewear, but he did not come off salesy at all. I could tell he wanted what was best for me, and he was NOT trying to make a sale. I was able to go to Stanton Optical in Janesville, Wisconsin, and get them right away. My youngest got what she wanted, and I bought a lot of upgrades, but they gave her temp glasses until her special-order ones were ready in a few days. My oldest daughter had to get a stronger pair of special glasses because of her eyesight. The new ones with all the bells and whistles, as my youngest had, were ready in a week. I got some special reading glasses (Harry Potter-style) the same day; the ordered ones were there in a few days. Now my wife wants to go there to get her glasses. You all did an excellent job, and I was very impressed with how well and fast things went in the store, the eye exams, and the final product. Even if you pick 200 dollars frames the total will be close to a grand. My boyfriend wanted to try contacts so they sent him home with the wrong prescription and they completely irritated his eyes. Went somewhere else and they explained they did it incorrectly. Which is ridiculous. Then they give you a quote of when the glasses will be ready and the glasses don't come for almost two months. Lastly once you get said glasses they break 4 times within a year the only good thing you got was the warranty for the year but once it's over it's another almost 500 dollars to get them replaced. Go literally anywhere else. Shitty quality and incompetent workers. Sad you pay so much for such awful products. There's a reason the reviews are awful.

I have had the pleasure of working with each of them and I have to say I am very impressed. They take the time to really understand your concerns and make sure they go above and beyond to give you the highest quality of care. Others have mentioned the prices, but the prices are very reasonable given the care and expertise given. I would rather pay more than Walmart prices and get real medical treatment for a good price than save a little and get subpar treatment. You only get one set of eyes, and I am glad mine are in such good hands!

After each fitting I would remark that I still couldn't see close or far well. Dr. Sheetz stated that that was to be expected. He did let me try a few different contact lenses but then he became visibly frustrated and made me feel very uncomfortable. This situation happened every year. The bottom line is for 3 years I couldn't see well. My company finally changed insurance companies and I went to my preferred optometrist at Shopko. Yes, Shopko. After one visit I was FINALLY able to see clearly. I would not recommend Dr. Sheetz on either his skill or his attitude. If I could give zero stars if I could.
