They say justice is blind, but thanks to the staff at LensCrafters Pleasant Hill, I certainly don't have to be. The service here is so sinfully smooth it's almost suspicious. The entire crew is delightful, but Justin and Ana deserve a special mention for treating me with the kind of undivided attention usually reserved for royalty. I recently presented Justin with a pair of frames I had managed to mangle, a pathetic, twisted wreck. In lesser hands, some 'optometrist' would have simply bent the arms of the glasses, masking the deformity like a cheap tailor covering a hunch. But Justin? He has the soul of a true surgeon. He ignored the superficial and went straight for the root of the problem, straightening the main frame with precision. It's a rare joy to find someone who actually knows what they're doing while the rest of the world fumbles in the dark. Their collection of designer frames is equally dangerous; a curated selection of vanity that would tempt even the most stoic soul. Yes, they're a bit pricey, but let's be honest: looking this good is worth every penny of the 'soul tax.' I've walked away with a pair that makes me look, and more importantly, feel, utterly divine. I removed old review since it previously showed Sun Valley Mall as the location back in 2016. This location at the Courtyard Shopping Center, is by fall so much better than the Sun Valley mall location. If you want experience come here! The mall location has nothing but young kids trying to a do a job that a more experience person should be doing when it comes to fitting and such. Anyone can show frames, but fitting and sizing needs more experience. I picked this location to get me eyes checked because the doctors here are have more than 10 years experience on them. Yes, again I want someone that knows what they are doing and provides advice and help that only someone that has been around will know. I hate going to the Sun Valley mall location, they are off on measuring and when you go into the store half of them are in the back walkway on their phone and the front people are just restocking and tend to make you wait for them to finish to help you. I experienced very,very bad customer service. I was treated with disrespect and I was provided with very low quality sercice, following my request to have my eyeglasses tightened when I entered the store on Oct 29th at around 6 pm. The Manager on Duty in the store on Oct 29th at around 6 pm when I entered the store, agreed upon my offer to tighten my Oakley Progressive lenses eyeglasses. He told me only that he could do it without any problems. A short time later he came back to me, after tightening my eyeglasses and I saw that he put 6 small cracks on both my lenses. I talked with another manager at LENSCRAFTERS by the name of Elaine Orduna, and told her that Justin, or the manager who cracked my Progressive lenses, never informed me that there was a danger of breaking either my lenses or frames while he was attempting to tighten them. He also never informed me , I told Ms Orduna, that, in the case of resulting damaged I will cover all the costs from these damages. He never ever informed me of all these circumstances. All he ever told me, as I told Ms Orduna, was that he could tighten them without any problems Justin , or the Manager who cracked my Progressive eyeglass lenses on 10/29th clearly broke my Progressive lenses by cracking both my lenses while attempting to tighten my eyeglasses . Ms Orduna told me flatly and bluntly that LENSCRAFTERS are not responsible at all for any monetary damages inflicted by its employees while trying to adjust/tighten eyeglasses and are also not responsible for any damages resulting from LENSCRAFTERS employees work on coming customers inside the store. She was quite blunt in refusing any recompensation , as I told her that my Progressive lenses cost $450. I told Ms Orduna that Justin never informed me that I will pay for any damages resulting from his work. Very very bad customer service read more

Attended an appointment with them in April. Was there for three hours, got charged a $40 retina exam that they didn't ask to do nor do I believe i'm old enough to qualify it as a concern. Proceeded to get disrespected and treated poorly for 3 hours during my appointment. Sent me home with the wrong contacts prescription on purpose. Called today and I was on the phone for 1.5 hours. I was on hold for 60 of those minutes. They lost my information and couldn't find proof of my appointment in April. Finally found it after asking around. I then proceeded to have to book an appointment because they gave me the wrong prescription due to their lack of stock. The level of disrespect, unorganized files, and care is mind blowing to me. This is store is conveniently located off the freeway and there's plenty of easy parking. It's a smaller store than Sun Valley Mall. I go between this location and the mall depending on my needs.. whether or not I go shopping. LensCrafters redeemed themselves from being an uhappy customer to a satified customer. I dropped off my eye glasses for new prescribtion early January 2024 and was told it will take 10 days. After 14 days, I called to see if my glasses were ready... the guy on the phone said it wasn't there and will take another week. Hummm... I was disappointed. I waited and waited for a follow-up. I called back another 10 days later and spoke to Mireya. I told her I've been waiting to receive my glasses but haven't heard anything. She was very nice and apologetic. She said she will follow-up and call me back. Two days later, Mireya called back to let me know my glasses are on their way and offered some refund for my inconvenience. It was a nice gesture and much appreciated. I finally picked up my glasses and was very pleased with the overall service... thanks to Mireya. (Not Maria)... LOL! read more

The staff here and the optometrist, Dr. Mostardi, were pleasant and professional. It was easy to schedule the appointment for the exam. The frame selection was good. What stood out is that after I received my glasses, the prescription was just slightly off, partly due to my own fault. Without any pushback I was given a second (brief) exam and a new set of lenses, which are now perfect. Do not come here these people don't care about your vision! People they have working there like Ellen and Justin or Jay is his name gave me wrong prescription! For half a year I was wearing wrong prescription they did not finalize the correct one and me that I'm new to wearing contacts I had no clue! Until I asked them if there was lowest prescription in my trails and they said yes. The one prescription I was using was the highest one which I did not want! They have no record of my exam that was in December they no records of my past purchases! Ellain told me to come pick up correct contacts that were lower and when I got there Justin or Jay what ever his name is said that this contacts was a higher prescription. And took the contacts! I told him I wanted a refund for this whole year for wearing wrong prescription and he only gave me one transaction back of July! Horrible don't come here and waste you time with these people! None of them know what they are doing! All of them look lost don't trust these people with your eyes! A lawsuit should be done against them! Never again!!!! read more

My daughter had to get glasses and had been complaining for weeks. They didn't think they were going to be able to get them done and would have to send them out with a turn around of 1-2 weeks. However she went to the back with the frames and came back with them and she worked her magic and was able to have the glasses done by later afternoon! No, I was not happy with my last experience. And believe me, it was my last. Your communication was horrid. Also, your staff was incapable of inquiring about and determining my insurance coverage. No effort was made by Malena to call and reach out to Guardian or the individual that assisted me the day of my exam to get some answers. I had to call myself and come to find that you are no longer a provider on Guardian's list! No one could even give me a straight answer! Your office in the past couple of years has costed me only a few hundred dollars, but now, that few hundred is becoming more and more impactful with individuals with a limited income! Just okay The service is lacking here. The doctor works really hard but is way too busy to keep up. Some of the staff is in cruise mode so the visit can be long. I would probably return since the location is convenient, but may look elsewhere based on service. The appointment scheduling and follow up was good. Good selection of glasses. The staff was so courteous and kind and greeted us promptly. I had a broken hinge on my mom's glasses and desperately needed them fixed as soon as possible! The young lady that greeted us took the glasses in the back right away and came out 15 minutes later with a fixed pair of glasses!! I don't know how she did it so fast and made them look so nice! It wasn't just a lost scree but the entire hinge was bent pretty bad. She had fixed the hinge, replaced the screw, and cleaned them up really nice! I was so impressed. But then when I went to get in line to pay (the repair was so important to me that I never asked the cost of the repair). The lady stopped me and said "no, it's on us. Have a nice day". What this young lady didn't know is that the broken glasses belong to my mother who was currently sitting in the hospital because she had just had a stroke. My mom has really bad vision as well as double vision and really depends on her glasses and now she couldn't even walk or talk but was able to point at pictures and letters to communicate with us as long as she had her glasses on. When her glasses broke only 12 hours after the stroke we all panicked because she could not see to point out the pictures or letters to communicate with us or the nurses and doctors. Thanks to LensCrafters kindness, I was able to get my mom her glasses back to the hospital in less than an hour and she was able to communicate her needs and wishes immediately. LensCrafters employees had no idea how dire the situation was, nor did they know they were for my mom who is in the hospital. Without question they took us in repair the glasses and sent us out to have a good day. This random act of kindness has blown me away and I can honestly say I will be back to LensCrafters to get my next eye exam and new glasses for me and my entire family. This is where customer service went to die! This store never returns calls from messages. It's always an excuse, they're too busy or was out that day. Sept 9th had my annual, new Dr wanted me to consider changing my prescription. Had zero issues with my current one and expressed I had no issues with distance and reading. Switched me to new contacts. Had me come back to try them. Wore them there was no difference and they switched me to a new prescription. New lenses ordered 9-26 Called the store Oct 10 told they hadn't come in and to call back. Called 10-13 told no lenses and that as of 10-13 they were back ordered. Called 10-24 told no lenses, they would chase and get back to me. 10-28 they call me and no lenses but they had another trial set I could have. Collected these 10-29. These were completely the wrong prescription and hurt my eyes. Called the store and left a voice mail first thing 10-31. They called back 11-2 no lenses and they were now 6 weeks out. No apology on 2 days to return my call. Utterly ridiculous. As the Dr modified my prescription I can't even purchase these as I could before. I've filed complaints with Lens Crafters, still zero response. Will file complaints with the state board over giving me wrong lenses. Stay clear read more

Not loving Lenscrafters. "We'll have your glasses in day," the marketing used to say. Sadly, Coronavirus had its effect, and the slogan has turned into "We'll have your glasses in 8-10 working days." Ok, we get it, and bemasked and about $570.12 poorer, I wandered back home expecting to drive by sonar for the next week or so after losing my glasses ... somewhere. (This wasn't such a difference, since my husband already says I park by Braille ... ). That said, it's now been three weeks. My regular Lenscrafters store has closed for the pandemic, and shifted their orders to the Pleasant Hill office. Chris at Pleasant Hill was actually super helpful when I called, but had no answers. I confess to have performed a Karen Maneuver, asked to have the matter escalated to a manager. They think ... maybe? ... the shipment with my glasses that was supposed to be re-routed to the Pleasant Hill office was ... maybe?? ... rerouted to the lab ... maybe??? ... in or around Portland. Excellent experience all around! My insurance was not taken by anyone. They called me back and since I had to submit bill and form they spent a good 45 minutes filling out the paperwork. For the most part I was satisfied with the retail salesfloor. My glasses came back in a reasonable amount of time. I don't know the name of the male who answered the phone when I called to check and see when my glasses would be back in and available for pick up but I had called and he said that they were somewhere between Texas and California when in fact they had just gotten them that day. How do I know this? Because later that afternoon I got an email from Lenscrafters saying my glasses were ready for pick up but because the gentleman on the phone didn't take the time to check and see if they were in or not I ended up having to wait a couple extra days to pick them up. That may not seem like much but when you really do need the glasses it's kind of a bummer. read more
