If I had known how easy, efficient, and thorough an eye exam would be here I would have started coming ages ago. Being able to schedule and fill out the form online was helpful, but i really appreciated that at every step of the way the staff explained everything and answered my questions, including trying to figure out the best readers for a variety of different tasks and why that's important. After 10 years of having LASIK surgery, my vision became a blur. Well...slightly. I knew it was time to go back to wearing glasses. I noticed I was squinting more as I was focusing on far distances and while driving at night. I understood that TM Optometry was an out-of-network provider with my insurance, but sometimes convenience outweighs the savings. I am always at Costco anyway and I wanted to be seen sooner than later. The closest in network provider to me didn't have any appointments available for three weeks and Saturdays were every other weekend which were very hard to secure. At TM Optometry, you schedule your appointment online, fill out an intake form and choose your 15 minute time slot. Easy and straight forward directions. I received a reminder email and text immediately after scheduling. In addition, another reminder is sent the day before your appointment. I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted by an optician who performed a few initial eye tests. She was very friendly and patient and walked me through everything she was doing. And the lady who takes care of billing explained my vision coverage and made sure I understood my out-of-pocket expenses so there were no surprises. A few minutes later, I was seen by Dr. Miyasaki. He performed more tests and evaluated the health of my eyes. He gave me a quick history eye lesson that was actually very interesting. Dr. Miyasaki was very nice and had a good bedside manner. Actually, the whole process at TM Optometry was efficient and professional. Once I received my prescription, I was able to order glasses. It feels great to be able to see clearly again! read more

I have been using the same pair of glasses for 10 years. I decided that I needed to get an eye exam and upgrade my glasses. I made an appointment for 2pm and was there slightly early around 1:45pm in order to fill out some paperwork. I had the option of doing it digitally but I hate fiddling around with pdf files and Adobe Reader. The clinic was at lunch until 2pm. The doors opened promptly at 2pm on the dot and I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and proceeded to fill out my paperwork. After turning it in another lady did some baseline eye tests before sending me to the exam room. I waited less than 5 minutes before being seen by Dr. Diez. She was very warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I was apprehensive since I had not had my eyes check in over a decade but she immediately put me at ease. Dr. Diez proceeded with the eye exam. I used to hate the glaucoma test where the machine blows a puff of air in your eye. In the past I kept on blinking before the air reached my eye and would would always end up with teary eyes. The clinic uses a fancy new machine that is very gentle and we got it on the first try. I opted to not get my eyes dilated and instead chose a retinal scan. Once all the tests were complete, Dr. Diez showed me a monitor with all of the images and explained everything. I am a very inquisitive person and I asked plenty of questions. She was very patient as she answered and explained everything. Super nice and caring! Overall, I was in and out in about 35 minutes. I walked out with my receipt and prescription. I would definitely recommend TM Optometry inside the Concord Costco. FYI, bring a mask. read more

The whole process was smooth. They have the best customer service from start to finish. The optical assistants explained the whole process of the new machine that does not leave your eyes wonky. I felt safe to rest my chin & my forhead on the machine to blow a poof into my eyes. I watched them cleaning before and after my visit. The doctor was thorough and very kind. When I was ready to pick out glasses, I was helped by Louie. I think we are best friends. He was GREAT and was honest with my selection. I ended up getting two pairs. One progressive and the other distance vision for driving and such. Everything was top notch. It is busy on a Saturday and they are all smiling and everyone looks like they are happy to be there. Second time here and they are still as efficient, caring and polite as they were the first time along with being safe due to COVID protocols. I was able to get an appointment within a week and they got me in and out in no time. Unfortunately ended up with Bell's Palsy back in September and thought my vision was shot because I couldn't close one of my eyes properly. Dr. Miyasaki was able to make me feel at ease and answer all of my questions. Yesterday was my first visit to the optometrist in nearly 15 years. I've been hyper scared of eye doctors ever since I was younger and an optometrist tried to poke my eyeball with a stick to test the pressure. It scarred me and I wasn't ever able to go back. With a lot of encouragement from my wife, and a little bit of worry as my left eye's vision has been getting worse, I finally sucked it up and went to see Dr. Miyasaki (who also takes care of my wife). I explained to them that I have a phobia of eye things and they were extremely kind and empathetic with me. They were able to test my vision and eye health without having to poke my eyes (yey for technology!) and it was totally pain free, quick, and easy. Within 20 minutes I learned that I have a small astigmatism and needed glasses, and Dr. Miyasaki and the staff were just soooo amazing. So now I've got a prescription, I picked out some glasses, and in a few weeks I'll have better vision, and it wasn't scary or traumatizing at all! Thank you all so much for helping me!!! read more
