At that time, we were told their lab had closed and that they were waiting for a new one to open. We were assured it would take no more than two weeks, so we waited. After that, I called weekly for updates and was repeatedly told that the lab would be opening "soon." Finally, when I called again last week, I was told it would tentatively be another month. What bothers me most is the lack of communication. Customers should have been notified that warranty claims couldn't be processed, and Boscov's should have extended or refunded the warranties since they were unable to honor them. By the time the new lab is operational, our warranty will likely have expired, even though the glasses were broken months before it did. I understand that the employees didn't cause the lab to close, and during my first several calls I was patient and understanding because I know they're probably answering the same questions all day. However, the customer service got progressively worse. During my last call, I asked what we were supposed to do if the warranty expired while we were waiting, and the employee's response was simply, "Just come back and buy new ones." That was an unacceptable answer after months of waiting. Between the poor communication, the inability to use a warranty we paid for, and the rude customer service, I won't be purchasing glasses from Boscov's Optical again

I made the mistake of making an assumption that if you buy a pair of glasses you have some kind of warranty . I just purchased a nice new set of glasses, less than 2 months ago, with polycarbonate lenses that are supposed to come with scratch resistant coating. I've had glasses all my life and I have dropped them before. These ones fell off my truck seat onto my floor mat and immediately scratched so I took them back to Boscov's only to be told there is no warranty unless you purchase it separately which I was not advised of when I bought the glasses. Then the guy told me he could sell me the warranty now and we can turn your glasses in. I ask how much it was he said $25. I said that's good let's do that he said you also have to pay 20% of the lenses. My lenses were $65 so I figured 12 bucks not a problem. Then he advised me that I have to pay 20% of the retail price of the lenses which was $480. I told him he was a crook and I left they will never get my business again. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

However, I was looking for a fitting room and went to the first one that I saw. There was no one at the counter and a door was open so I walked in. After trying on the dresses, I walked out and a man was at the counter and proceeded to yell at me. He said that it was clearly the men's dressing room and he didn't understand how I didn't know that. Anywhere else a fitting room is a fitting room. I did not see the other fitting rooms until afterwards. I apologized and he was still very rude to me. The lady checking me out was very sweet and even got me a tissue. Maybe Boscov's should make their fitting rooms more clear.

The receptionist was very nice, friendly and professional. when i walked through the door i got the same treatment. which is kind, Respect, I was walked through every step, to what they was going to do and why. Then i got to meet the doctor, She also was great explaining what the testing results was and recommendation. the lady who helped pick out a frame for my lens which you can get all in one place. My overall experience was great. I am glad i chose St Clairsville eyecare, I definitely recommend them for all the reason i mention. Great place and staff.

Each mall was hit hard during the recession, it doesn't matter where that mall is located. The reason I cannot give this mall any higher than three stars is because of its layout. It's large. And spread out, and dated. A little update is definitely needed. And maybe add more restrooms. Looking for one while in here ended with us going into Sears I think, just to use their bathroom. All the way at the other end of the mall from where we parked. For a Sunday, when we stopped, this mall was kind of dead too. But no one really shops on a Sunday much. Maybe once all those stores under construction open, that'll draw people in.
