My experience with Leonardo Nelsin was less than creditable. I called Leo and inquired about his tree removing service and specifically included grinding the stump after removing the tree in the request. Leonardo quoted me a price I thought to be reasonable and I scheduled the service. When Leo arrived and completed the removal of the tree, he stated he was finished. I asked about the stump and he said he didn't have the machine to do the grinding. I reminded him that I specifically asked for a quote for both services at the time of our initial conversation. He then said he would come back once receiving a request for another job that required stump grinding. I asked for an estimate of when he would likely return, he said approximately 1 week. Actually he texted 3 days later and asked if he could come by and grind the stump. I called to confirm a time and he said the price would be $100.00 extra. I informed him that I wasn't willing to pay that amount especially since he led me to believe that the cost of griding the stump was included in the original cost. He asked what did I want to pay, I gave him the figure that was quoted to me by another tree removal company. We agreed upon the amount. He did the grinding and I thought it was done correctly. However after receiving estimates from 2 tree removal and planting companies to replace the previous tree I was informed that the stump was not grounded as low as it could or should be. I texted Leo on June 3 and he did respond with "hello ma'am how are you? I replied and informed him about the information that was given me. He didn't reply, therefore on the morning of June 5, I texted again and left this message.... Hello Leonardo, I've tried contacting you and you are not responding. When I contacted you initially about removing the tree and grinding the stump you said you would do both for 120.00. However on the day you came to remove the tree you stated you didn't have the equipment and you would do it whenever you had another job that required utilizing the machine. You were not honest when you accepted the job because you led me to think the $120.00 was the cost for removal and grinding the stump. I overlooked the fact that you didn't honor your word and attempted to charge me $100.00 to remove the stump. When I refused you did lowered the cost to $65. After accessing the height of the stump that is still in the ground along with 3 other lawn service companies it has been accessed that the stump should have been ground more. Therefore based on these assessments I would like you to exhibit integrity and complete the job correctly. I could see that he was reading the messages but never responded. After several futile attempts to contact him via telephone calls I stopped trying to connect with him. I am disappointed because he was not honest nor was he willing to make the adjustments to fully complete the job. I agree Leo is nice but niceness should never be in lieu of performing services with honesty and integrity. I would never recommend Leo's Tree Service to anyone!!! read more

Scheduled a tree trimming with Leo's Tree Care and I am more than happy with the results. Leo set a time and date, showed up earlier than expected and got to work. They cleaned up all debris left on top of my home as well as walkway and driveway. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting their trees trimmed/pruned. A++ read more

Leo did an excellent job with all of my requests, from trimming branches away from my power lines, to removing a large branch from a tree, to removing a tree/shrub, and most importantly, selectively trimming my oak! I thought I would need to have it removed due to being so misshappened but Leo salvaged the tree by removing certain branches. It is like a new tree! He is honest and does a great job.
