Melanie Emmons and Bruce Feder (Kato, Feder & Suzuki) billed over $500,000 during the original conservatorship process and are now attempting to double bill for another $22,000, despite not having represented me for nearly two years. Bruce Feder is retired and avoids litigation like the plague. Melanie Emmons -- a parent herself -- should know better than to drain a disabled child's care fund to pay her mortgage. The moral line here has clearly vanished. To make matters worse, the court-appointed attorney Melissa Karlsten, who has made decisions against my son's best interest, is allegedly a close friend of Emmons. Their former ally, Debra Dolch, and her partner Deb Fox, quietly resigned and passed the trust to the public guardian without notifying me -- a calculated betrayal. They removed me as conservator to avoid placing Jack in a proper residential home. And now they're billing his trust while denying me a legal defense.
