The Leonis Adobe House (est 1844) is a historic adobe museum and one of the oldest surviving pvt residences in the SF Valley. Admission is free, however, they accept donation of $5 bucks. We were greeted by one of the docent staff. Our female docent, Molly, gave a tour of the house. She was informative and affable. The story begins with Miguel Leonis, a French immigrant, who refashioned the house into the two-story dwelling with wraparound exterior balcony. He shared it with his Chumash/Tongva Native American wife, Espiritu, and their daughter, Marcelina. He was illiterate albeit naturally gifted in business that eventually became a landowner. He owned 18,000 acres of land across So Cal. The museum is only open on Weekends. They have free parking lot. Overall, I had a very good experience and learned a lot from the docent. This was a peaceful and fun activity that's great for a family outing or for people who just like history or an educational activity they can do at their own pace. There are some animals here too and an opportunity to feed some of the goats through a fence for a small price. I went on a hot day, so that could have impacted how many visitors there were that day but it was really just me and another family there. It doesn't take a long time to get through the entire area but there is a good variety of historical artifacts to see. They also have a small gift shop. While this place is free they do encourage guests to leave a donation, but over all this is a very low-cost, affordable activity. read more

Lately I've been back on the road visiting local historical sites that are part of the Passport2History Program. Every time you visit a new venue you can get your passport stamped. You can pick any of the 85 participating Museums & Venues to begin your journey. I chose this place because this is Historic Cultural Monument #1 for the City of Los Angeles. It's also headquarters for the Passport2History program. I highly recommend this program if you are interested in learning about the history of our region. The docents dress up in period costumes and are well versed in the history of the house. The grounds are beautiful. It's set up to resemble a working ranch with a barn, various outbuildings, wagons and livestock. They even have Texas Longhorns! If you are a city dweller like me, the smell of the farm animals reminds you of how lucky you are not to live on a farm. The museum and grounds are just absolutely charming. You'll have a smile on your face when you leave. But you won't be smiling when you go home and read up on Miguel Leonis, the guy this place is named after. Because Miguel Leonis was a dick. A total dick. Forgive me for talking shit about a dead guy, but this guy deserves it,. Despite his enormous success in building a real estate portfolio that stretched from Lancaster in the High Desert all the way down to Malibu, Miguel Leonis stands out as one of the most despicable people in California history. When the California Missions were secularized, the Mexican government seized the extensive landholdings of each Mission and distributed them in the form of land grants. Many of the land grants went to the Mexican soldiers who had served in the presidios that protected the Missions. But in the case of the San Fernando Mission, the land was granted to the Native Americans (Malibu Chumash) that had lived on the land for eons before the arrival of Europeans. For once someone tried to do right by the Native Americans. The land was referred to as El Escorpion Rancho. Miguel's real estate empire was founded on the 1100 acres of El Escorpion Rancho he got by hooking up with the daughter of one of the three Chumash brothers that owned the El Escorpion land grant. Her name was Espiritu Chijulla Menendez. Here's why I think Miguel Leonis was a Total Dick: Espiratu had been married before and had a young son. Miguel Leonis refused to let the son live with them. He forced Espiratu to abandon her son. That's already enough to qualify the guy as a Total Dick, but there's more. When he died, he left his entire estate to relatives in Europe. He left nothing to Espiratu. He was one of the richest people in the county when he died, yet he left her nothing. They had never formally married. But they had lived as husband and wife for thirty years. Thirty damn years! In his will he dismissively referred to Espiratu as his housekeeper. What a dick! Espiratu was forced to go to court to win control of Miguel's estate. Imagine the difficulty of a woman in the late 19th C to pursue a claim like this. Now imagine how even more difficult it would be if you were a Native American woman. Mind you, this is before women could even vote. Women had almost no standing in court. Native American women even less. It took 17 years of fighting in court, but Espiratu finally prevailed. She got back control of the house and was able to re-unite with the son that Miguel had forced her to abandon. Sadly, she died within a year of her final legal victory. I was really excited to visit this museum but when I finally did, I regretted it! The animals were all brutally bruised up from shearing. Most of the sheep looked very depressed & traumatised, they didn't even want to come eat the animal feed we had purchased. They had large bleeding open wounds all over their bodies & would get startled when we tried to go near to pet them. I almost cried. My kids were traumatised by this too. I hope they shear them with more care & compassion next time. I have been to many animal farms before & seen many freshly sheared sheep but this was horrible. The staff were quite rude too. The whole place gave me weird vibes. I donated but sadly, we will not return. I'd rather they charge a proper fee and take care of those poor animals than depend solely on donations. If you are in the area with a couple of hours to kill, this is a wonderful place to visit. The grounds are well maintained, clean, and organized. The docents working here are in full costume for the time period, very friendly, and knowledgeable. There are farm animals on the premises, which you can purchase food for from the gift shop, and feed (great for the kiddos). The tour of the house is about thirty minutes and is very informative. There are well kept carriages, farm equipment, a barn, gardens, and even an old hand working water pump. Parking is right out front and is free is you are only visiting the museum. If you plan on walking the village or eating at one of the restaurants, I believe it was $8. The entry fee is a cash donation, seems like $5 a head is the norm. My youngest daughter enjoyed it and I will bring my oldest daughter back here when we are in the area. Beautiful place. read more

This place has an awful staff! If your school is planning a field trip to Leonis Adobe, please stay away and save your kids from tears and bad experiences in general! The staff is VERY RUDE to kids! Kids were looking forward to this field trip but some ended up crying! The tour guide was consistently rude and impatient calling kids "lazy", "big mouth." I always wanted to visit this cute museum but after what my daughter experienced today, will definitely pass. read more

Wonderful field trip with our 90 students. We go every year. Well organized and guides are excellent. Meets 4th grade curriculum standards while engaging students in hands on activities. Guides were patient with our students, especially those with special needs. Nice small place to explore with toddlers that includes history, historic buildings, animals, barns and old time wagons. Most of the exploring is outdoors so it can get hot during the summer- bring a hat! It took about an hour to explore the place. We did not get to check out Calabasas Creek Park as it looked closed but next time for sure! They have strange hours on Sat and Sun (1-4pm) only. Apparently it's school groups only during the weekdays. Entrance fee is donation based and they post suggested donations per person. After our hot tour, we grabbed a quick bite from Sagebush Cantina next door which has a nice outdoor patio but not great Mexican food. Chicken feed is 50cents and alfalfa hay for the goats/sheep is $1.50. Passport 2 History is $5. So we ended up paying $20 for 2 adults and a toddler. read more

It's a shame because this place could be really wonderful and welcoming. Unfortunately, some of the staff there are extremely rude and unfriendly towards children. Our children were playing very nicely and we were supervising, and one staff member came to tell my husband that our kids can't play and this is not a playground. This was one of at least 3 rude incidents. Some staff are very nice and friendly and helpful but other completely ruin the experience. As we were leaving I went to a staff member to let them know what happened. I was not being rude, just straight and to the point. I mentioned that I worked with people with disabilities and would never recommend them to go there because of how rude the staff is and the staff person said that in that case they probably shouldn't go inside any of their buildings. Only reason to waste my time writing a review is because it could be such a great place. Over the years we have brought our boys there and they usually have a great time. We have had moments where some of the staff is extremely rude but we just brushed it off, hoping to just move past it. This time was just enough. Some of the staff was extremely rude to the children on the field trip today and when we called to complain, the manager was super combative and said my wife was harassing the staff member by asking her to please lighten up with the kids. We will never renew our family membership or donate to them again. Good riddance! read more

We attended a High Tea fundraiser at the Leonis Adobe in June 2019. Dates recently extended, Saturdays through August 2019. Relax on the veranda of Los Angeles' first Historic-Cultural Monument with tea, finger sandwiches, scones, and other delightful treats. Three sittings are held at 11am, noon, and 1 pm. Before or after tea, be sure to stroll the grounds. We enjoyed visiting a month old lamb, goats, a baby calf. The flowers are beautiful this year, especially the hollyhocks. I honestly don't know how people rate this place with 5 stars. Today we had a field trip to this museum and we had the Chumash village tour. The place is nice but the instructors were very unfriendly, unpleasant, impatient and even rude with the kids. Only one male instructor was nice , but most of the female instructor, especially one of them were very impatient. If your child have a field trip to this place, I highly recommend not to send them there. The kids were very excited about this field trip, and it was a Disappointment for them, they are only 10 years old and should be treated better.This ladies should not work with kids. read more

Built in 1844, the Leonis Adobe is is one of the oldest private residences in Los Angeles County. The Adobe was occupied by the wealthy rancher. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is at the center of Historic downtown Calabasas. Currently closed because of Covid but we were still able to see the property from the sidewalk as well as the farm animals. read more

Highly recommend! I spend almost every Saturday in this area and finally visited this museum. As soon as you enter you're greeted by the nicest volunteers. There's a $5 donation to enter ( totally worth throwing them a few extra bucks). Before we explored the home, Andy explained the story of The Leonis which made the tour experience more surreal. There were chickens, Texas horn cows and goats! We had so much fun hand feeding the goats. The staff do a great job of keeping the area so clean and sharp. The museum is small but you can get a good hour out of the visit just enjoying the animals and the home. I also recommend stopping by the gift shop! read more

Unwilling to accommodate homeschooled children....Contacted on 9/19 hoping to arrange a field trip. No response. Follow up call on 9/25...no response. Able to get them on the phone today. Said they were unable to be flexible with hosting multiple grade levels, while the charter we are with was able to get a field trip for K-8. When asked to give examples of how the field trip would differ based on age, "would not" give examples. Said all the dates we requested were full, although they were not filled on their calendar online. Said calendar only gets updated once at week or so. Our original point of contact was 10 days prior. Unclear as to why they would not want 50-75 homeschooled children to receive the same educational benefit as publicly or privately schooled children. This is such a beautiful and serene place to take your kids for a free afternoon out (donations are encouraged) to explore an old adobe and surrounding farm. There are plenty of animals to see, touch or feed. The staff is very friendly and extremely informative, they know everything about the farm and are eager to share it with you. I hate that I have to write this review because we had been members here for about 7 years. However, I recently had a horrible interaction with 2 of the staff members, one of them being the Director. I'm a strong believer in the trickle down effect; if the person in charge is great, the subordinates generally will be as well, and vice versa. Unfortunately we are dealing with the latter, and was met an extremely rude and unfriendly tour guide on the school field trip. We (myself, the children and a couple of the other parents) were all visibly uncomfortable by her attitude. I had to finally say something, reminding the woman that the children were very excited to be there and that she was coming across a little harsh. I did not want the children's first field trip that they were so much looking forward to, to be ruined by this miserable person. Luckily, we were then matched up with a wonderful, friendly tour guide. However, when I tried to to bring this up later to the Director, she was equally as rude and defensive....so I thought it best to try and warn other people. Hopefully the foundation looks at the other negative reviews, and finally makes a change in leadership. read more

Great piece of history in Old town Calabasas. Having attended a charity event here, my experience might be different from yours but I still recommend this place. I was pleasantly surprised with my visit here. I'll be honest, I didn't know what to expect. I had never heard of this place before. Parking - There is a small lot in front of the museum and plenty of parking across the street. Staff - Sssooo lovely! The staff is comprised of mostly elderly volunteers. At least all the people giving tours the day I was there matched this description. They were extremely informative and actually pretty funny. While telling us the story of the Leonis family one of the volunteers remarked, "Contrary to popular belief, I wasn't actually there." LOL Museum house - Full of history!! I'm making the decision not to share everything I learned about this place here. I don't want to ruin it for you. The house is open to viewing so you can go from room to room listening to the guides, reading the descriptions, taking pics, etc. Museum grounds - Fun! They have all kinds of animals: roosters, turkeys, horses, sheep, goats, cows, even have a Texas Longhorn name Fred-E-Steer...get it? They also have outhouses and the barn is filled with old coach buggies. Overall we were there for about 2 hours. This place is great for kids. Even without kids, if you're in to history you'll like it here. While I'll probably won't go back having seen the place but I'm really glad I went. I seriously felt like I jumped on a time machine back to the wild wild west. read more

I always avoided exploring Calabasas for years, seemed like a very conservative place, and based on my recent outing in the area, I was right to believe so. I'll describe my visit to Leonis Adobe for now. This ranch is in Old Town Calabasas, very small area, not even 2 blocks along Calabasas Rd. Going there, you take 101 N from LA, exit Valley Circle Rd/Mulholland, take a left on Valley Circle rd. off the 101 and it becomes Mulholland immediately. Then, you take a R. to Calabasas Rd. That's the tricky part, because Calabasas Rd. comes immediately (near the 101 S ramp) so you might miss it, like we did. Once we finally got on Calabasas Rd., the museum sign shows you're near it, it comes on your right soon. We wanted to get into their parking lot, but a parking attendant flagged us to go away. We kept driving and realized that we read on Yelp that there is free parking for the museum in that lot. So we tried to turn around, which is tricky in the area. 2nd round trying to get in, the parking attendant was flagging us to go away again even though several cars were leaving the lot! I asked him about the museum's lot and he let us in right away, and yes, there were spots reserved for that! That was so annoying that we had to fight for the right to park. Don't know why that dude had to make it hard for us. The museum's parking spots are in the same lot that offers parking for $3.50. That's for something else, do park there and don't let yourself bullied by the parking lot attendant. We finally got inside the Plummer House, the Victorian one, trying to figure out the grounds, I wanted to spend some time outdoors to get myself together after the driving around and the nonsense parking situation. An older lady, a docent, immediately jumped on us and asked us to write our names down and told us the donation is $4 a person. I was taken aback by her manner. She was really brusque. Yes, I knew about the donation, I read the reviews and checked their site and that was fine by me. But it's suggested donation and let me take care of that after I visit the place, don't just jump at me immediately I get through the door. The place is OK, they have a nice outdoor area with old barns, carriages, gardens, lots of cute animals (horses, lambs- we got to pet one, chickens, roosters, goats, etc). It's not big, but could be instructive and fun for kids. The Leonis Adobe house isn't that big either, the furniture isn't the original one, but it's instructive if you're interested in the history of the area. Compared to similar places like Old Town San Diego or Presidio in Santa Barbara, this place is smaller, you can visit it in about 1 hour. But that isn't the issue. The problem for me is that I couldn't relax in this place. I'm not into guides and guided tours, I avoid them. I like to explore things on my own and research. At Leonis Adobe, there's always a docent (there a few older ladies who do that) coming to you, wherever you are and start telling you info that you can read around. I just felt watched and supervised all the time, like I was in school again and I don't like that feeling. Usually, places like this are charming and offer a relaxing, instructive outing. I just couldn't get into the place, didn't feel welcomed and didn't enjoy my visit. Too bad. Check for their schedules, they close early, like they do with everything else in Calabasas, on Wed., Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays it's open from 1 pm- 4 pm. Saturdays, 10am-4pm. Hurry, hurry!! Make reservations as fast as you can!! Leonis Adobe has partnered with Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica and is serving Royal Tea on the veranda in their beautiful gardens every Saturday morning. It's such a stunning setting and the tea service is absolutely divine. We feasted on tea sandwiches, egg tarts, cakes, scones with Devonshire creme and jam and other sweeties... and sipped champagne and pg tips. After tea, stroll the grounds and see the baby animals, chickens, horses, goats and sheep! Such a sweet time. If you time it right you can also hit the Calabasas farmers market across the street just brimming with seasonal produce and artisan everything!! The little shops in the area are great as well, like the finely curated Amber Interiors with upscale global merchandise. It's truly a great Saturday morning treat!! Have fun!! read more

We walked over to the Leonis Adobe after getting cupcakes at SusieCakes. It's in a part of Calabasas with buildings that remind me of an old Western frontier town. The Leonis property gives you a sense of what a ranch in San Fernando Valley would have looked like in the 1800s. Miguel Leonis, was an early land settler who came over from the Pyrenees (he was basque) and later became known as the King of Calabasas. It was the first historical cultural monument designated by the city of Los Angeles. You enter through the Plummer House, which was moved from its location in Hollywood to Calabasas in 1983. The Plummer House is the oldest house in Hollywood. The Plummer House contains a gift shop, old pictures of the local area, and a few exhibits (the clothing of the Leonis family). Once you exit the Plummer House, you can explore the grounds on your own. The two story Leonis home has furnished rooms and portraits of the Leonis family. You can see what their kitchen looked like (roughly), the bedroom of Mrs. Leonis (she died there) with its red velvet canopy bed, the pantry, etc. The house may be haunted? Someone claims to have seen the shadowy figure upstairs, possibly Mrs. Leonis. They have a barn with old buggies, blacksmith shop, outhouses (eww), an outdoor oven, old farming tools, a windmill, bath house, wash shed, fruit trees, ducks, turkeys, guineas, pigeons, chickens, longhorn cattle, horses, goats and sheep (they're fenced in so you can't go right up to them). Leonis Adobe & Plummer House Museum - Museums Near Me - Calabasas, California

The Plummer House is a registered California Historical Landmark and Leonis Adobe, being somewhat of a trailblazer, earned the 1st ever California Historical Cultural Monument status back in 1962. Since then there have been 1069 other Cultural Monuments added to the list. There is nothing particularly interesting about the Plummer Home other than its age. It was built in 1874 and it is a typical ranch home of its time. It just happened to outlast them all. It was once fondly referred to as the "Oldest House in Hollywood." Since it's relocation it's now referred to as "Just Another Old House in Calabasas." After being threatened with demolition back in 1983 the Leonis Adobe Museum adopted the Plummer Home and relocated it to its current location. It's now being used as their visitor center and gift shop. It's interesting to note that the two families actually knew each other back in the day. The Leonis family would actually visit the Plummer family over in Hollywood and they used to hang out. You get to walk through the two restored homes and view some recreated scenes which include some of the original artifacts. There are some farm animals that you can feed and a small winery that you can walk through. It's really nice to have places such as these that we can take our kids to and give them a glimpse into the past. Donating one's property and leaving it for future generations to enjoy is also a great way to establish a lasting legacy. Cute place. Went for a field trip. VERY VERY STRICT with the kids. Made some kids uncomfortable, and one of the tour guides was especially rude. Some guides were AMAZING and know kids are kids full of excitement and happiness. Others wouldn't let them talk and were quite snippy. We need to remind these ladies that these are young kids, some with different learning capabilities that need more patience......we should not have to point them out when it's clear what's happening. You're an adult and can easily tell a child might have a disability...use more patience. The group of kids were very well behaved, but if they spoke out of turn even once they were immediately snapped at. One kid was upset that they had goat skin and didn't want to touch it, and the guide was visibly and vocally irritated by it. Have a heart. Remember what it was like when you were young. If you get a great guide, this place is amazing. Otherwise, they make you uncomfortable and expect kids to act perfect even with a disability. I'm hoping I can update this to a better review next time. But as of now, the director isn't taking complaints from the parent volunteers seriously. Sure, this museum is small and has limited hours. But it's a fantastic place to learn about California history and agriculture. In the back, behind and around the barn, are ploughs and rakes and balers and other agricultural devices, and the accompanying signage is wonderfully explanatory. I learned more about agriculture in a short time studying these signs and devices that I have ever learned before in my now not-so-short life, even though I have frequently been on farms, attended county fairs, and had relatives who were farmers. No one has ever explained to me how these devices actually work, but the signage at this museum tells you in great detail. Most of the signage texts come from a 1917 book entitled "Farm Equipment and How to Use It," and it was brilliant of the museum to use them, since they allow young and old to enjoy this place. (The signs are not really for the young!) The interior and exterior of the Leonis house itself are also fascinating. While I was there, a child - probably around 8 years old - had brought his mom there and was giving her a tour, including by explaining the rooms and objects. Turns out he had recently been there in a school group and was so enthusiastic he insisted on bringing her there. I totally empathized and wished my mom were there, too. read more

They let our kids play with baby goats or kids. I think baby goats are called kids. Whatevs. The staff and the tour are the best Cali-History has to offer. The first time I've experienced targeted racism in Calabasas unfortunately was today. I have been coming here with my children for well over a year and today like normal we decided to come on a weekend. Unfortunately one of the volunteers an older white woman was very rude at the entrance and assumed that for some reason I was not a member and was not going to sign in. She did not assume this with any of the other white patrons standing there with me. And only when she saw my blonde hair blue-eyed child in the stroller did her attitude change. I literally want to cry in front of my children as if we are breaking into the adobe museum which is not the case even though we've been here several times over at our members, paying members. This has ruined this place for me. read more

I'm always looking for interesting places to go with my toddler, and we have been frequenting the Leonis Adobe for years now. The staff is super friendly! Shout out to our favorite guide, Tomu (I hope I spelled that right)! My son loves water fountains, and there is one right before you even enter, which he loves. I should mention there is free parking. When you go in the first little house there is a gift shop and some museum items about the property. This is where you pay. It is by donation, but you can get a season pass for only $40! They are only open Friday's during the week (and weekends I think in addition to special events). I do wish they were open more. You can buy goat or chicken food for only a dollar. Outside there are many things to look at. The animals are of course a favorite! They have sheep, goats, various types of chickens, turkey's, roosters, two ver large horses and some very impressive texas long horns! There are also many things to look at on the property, including the actual Leonis Adobe Museum which you can walk through. This is where my toddler got tons of practice going up and down the strais! haha. My son loves the giant triangle that he can hit, the water pump that he can no do by himself and he loves walking up the giant stairs to what was some of the worker's quarters. While on one hand I could see folks coming here and think it's not a ton of stuff compared to other large museums... for a small museum there is actually a ton to explore! There are a bunch of little displays and rooms all around for the kids to explore. There's also just a nice big space when my toddler was more into running around and I was crazy bored of parks and playgrounds. There are also cats that walk around that he loves to look at. So if you're in LA with kids and haven't explored this yet... do yourself a favor and get over here next Friday! ps... It's open!! Admission is donation-based and we were very happy to contribute. We had a great time and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. You can buy feed for the sheep and goats and chicken, and we even got to pet the goats as they were very gentle. I appreciated that there was a lot of open ground for my child to go running around all excited to see the animals, and there's plenty of staff to supervise and be present all around so I felt very safe. There were also horses and cattle, it would've been nice to see them a little bit more up close though. My toddler was not so interested in the historical pieces and museum portions, a little bit scared of the life-size wax figure people in one of the rooms, but it was fascinating and you could tell that the property and antique pieces were all very well preserved. There are plenty of photo friendly spots, a small beautiful garden, and even benches and tables you could picnic and rest at! The little gift shop is full of dolls and knickknacks, we got a owl stuffed animal $5.50 and a whistle $4, they take card ;) I recommend for an easy hour of walking (or in my toddler's case, running and shouting) and looking around casually. read more

I really enjoyed this small museam/farm. This lasted around 30-40 mins depending on how you observe things. They had goats, chickens, turkeys, cows, bulls and sheep. They also sold food for them for you to feed them for a great reasoning price. They had a gift shop and the prices were super cheap I bought a wood train whistle, lollipop and bubbles! Prices were cheap. Also had clean bathrooms. The animals had a lot of room. A lot of walking and fun for everyone. Only thing it was super hot so bring water in this weather ! Today my daughter and I spent the day at this lovely museum. We had afternoon tea overlooking the beautiful garden and roamed around the museum enjoying the plants, flowers, and animals. What a lovely day it was! Eileen, one of the staff members directed us to some areas around the museum she said we should not miss. She was so sweet and kind and made sure we had a wonderful day. She continued to check on us to make sure we were having a great time. We will definitely be coming back especially to see Eileen. I couldn't wait to tell my friends about Eileen and our lovely day. I have read a lot of eerie things about the Leonis Adobe Museum. It is said to be haunted by the 6-foot-tall former owner Miguel Leonis who was involved in a traggic wagon accident and died days later; he was 65 years old. It is also rumored that this place is haunted by his so-called-wife whom he never acknowledged in person as his wife named Espiritu Chijulla who died 20 years after her so-called-husband. In 2005, a British paranormal team dubbed this place to be one of the most haunted locations in Los Angeles. This news gave me chills down my spine - but I still wanted to visit! I was on the 101 South Freeway and exited Calabasas Rd. since that's the street where this museum is located. Upon exiting the freeway, I entered into a small area of the town known as "Old Town Calabasas." I was instantly drawn by the beauty of the area - and it takes a lot of impress me lol, but this place wowed me! Calabasas Rd. was a small narrow road and I missed the entrance to the museum, instead I entered into a plaza, which was a block away from the museum and thank goodness I did this because I found out that parking at the museum would cost me $3.50. Why pay when you can get it for free right? Well that wasn't the only reason I wanted to come into this plaza, I've heard a lot of Yelpers rave about SusieCakes and wanted to give it a try. Too bad they were closed on the day that I arrived, which was Sunday 4/14/13. Instead, I discovered that in this same plaza was my beloved "Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf," score! After getting my coffee fix, I decided to walk and make my way toward the museum. Wow, this museum looks better in person than the pictures I have seen when researching this place. Although, it does look rather smaller than how it was represented in the photos. Nonetheless, I tried to capture all of its beauty with my camera. I threw out my fears about this place out the window lol This place even has sheep, goats, horses, cattle, chickens and a turkey! AWESOME, smelly, but awesome regardless! If you are ever around this area, this place is definitely worth visiting :) read more
